    Stroking tubes has caught me far more fish than any other technique.

    The picture of the Texas rigged tube with the bullet weight looked like the hook was stitched in to the tube with the hook point buried and thus how can it penetrate the fish when it inhales the tube? The hook-percentage can't be good, right?

    • @bassresource
      @bassresource  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      As mentioned in the video, the tube collapses when the fish bites it. Thus - 100% hookups!

      @@bassresource Every bass bites down precisely in the middle of the tube? Never at the head, skirt, or from the side? Fish don't eat baits like we eat sandwiches, especially baits that are 1/5th the size of their mouths. Watch underwater videos of bass hitting baits, including the slow-mo ones, and you'll clearly see there are several types of "bites". They clamp down on baits (from many different directions) which is mostly out of curiosity or to check out the bait. They suck in or engulf baits into their mouths when they're aggressive or actively feeding. Swiping at moving baits. There's more, guarding beds, etc. If you're getting a 100% hook-up ratio on any bait or rig, especially plastics with non-exposed hook points, then you're either the only angler on the planet to ever achieve this or a liar.

    I am a riverbank fisherman. I have lost many tubs using the weighted hook in river current. I tried to find the hooks for Texas rig

      The split shot rig is a better choice in that situation. Also, use a lighter weight. You just want it to lightly bounce on the bottom as the current carries it down stream.

      @bassresource Good day. Can I use a EWG hook. The EWG hook has a worm keeper between the eye and the bend, it is longer than a regular EWG. Thank you for the info. Have a great day
