Pretty good list, the reason TBHC is regarded highly by some fans is because it’s a concept album with deep lyrics and themes. It explores consumerism, politics, religion and the dangers of the rise in technology through the concept of a luxury resort on the Moon, told from the perspective of various characters, as each song is from the perspective of a different character on the TBHC. Plus Alex also predicted Covid with the line “We’ve moved it all online as of March”
I completely agree with the humbug takes. I think the Jeweller’s hands is their best work honestly, and humbug is an absolute masterpiece overall. (It also killed me learning the crying lightning solo too lol)
I would say this is probably the most perfect ranking ever. This video was also amazing keep up the great work. The car being higher than am is such a great take imo am is very overrated and gets boring after a few listens, but the top 3 will never get boring
I think this is one of first ranking videos I've seen where I agree with almost every opinion. I would maybe swap AM and the car, I love a few songs on the car but the rest are sort of meh but then on AM they are all good but there are no standouts so I'm not sure what I prefer out of those two. Completely agree with you on the slow songs and TBHC, I think there's some brilliant songs on TBHC but some of them I just never really got, especially four stars out of five.
I agree with most of that honestly 😂Well spoken on all the songs, i just feel as if You Probably Couldn't See is their most underrated song (besides Sketchead, which isnt on an album) But overall great opinion. If i were to rank the Arctic Monkeys albums itd probably go Favourite Worst Nightmare Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not Humbug AM The Car TBH&C Suck It and See But like you said in the video, it is very difficult to rank the first 3 album in order best to worst, cuz they are all masterpieces
Weirdly TBHC and WPSIA are joint #1 albums for me. They feel like proper (re)starts from the band I love the Car too ngl. particularly Mr Schwartz and Sculptures have a cool vibe and feel like pretty introspective tracks. Nice to see another Who & Monkeys fan out there
