NEW DISCORD SERVER - discord.gg/GfuANKmdR8
So Doctor Who season 1 just happened. And I actually really like it. So here are my (somewhat) articulated thoughts on the series as a whole. I dunno man I'm doing my best ok
This video contains many spoilers for Doctor Who season 1. Crazy, I know. If you haven't seen it, watch at your own discretion.

Peter Capaldi: Doctor Who's Underrated Peak
มุมมอง 792K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
Finally, after months of work, here is my analysis of the Peter Capaldi era of Doctor Who! What better way to start pride month, am I right. This video (of course) contains spoilers for series 8-10 of Doctor Who, as well as spoilers for a bunch of other episodes and eras of the show. If you haven't seen at least the entirety of New Who, watch at your own discretion. "The Shepherd's Boy" cover b...
The Master's Timeline EXPLAINED!
มุมมอง 13K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Master / Missy is a recurring villain in Doctor Who. And it seems like their timeline can be a bit all over the place at times, so I tried to piece the Master's timeline together #doctorwho #davidtennant #doctorwho60thanniversary
Explaining Doctor Who's BIGGEST Plot Holes
มุมมอง 16K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
Doctor Who canon makes no sense. With plenty of contradictions in the lore, from William Hartnell in 1963, to David Tennant in 2005, to Ncuti Gatwa in 2024, there are plenty of aspects of the show that make no sense. So I tried to explain some of YOUR biggest complaints with Doctor Who lore!
Is Doctor Who Bad At Series Finales?
มุมมอง 22K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
Doctor Who series finales sometimes have a reputation for being underwhelming and cheap. But is this true? I looked at the series 1-4 finales of Doctor Who (Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant) to see if the endings are as cheap as some people say.
The Problem With Doctor Who In 2024...
มุมมอง 11K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
Doctor Who celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2023 with 3 specials: The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder, and The Giggle. All featuring the return of David Tennant as the 14th Doctor, and Catherine Tate as Donna Noble. 2023 also saw Ncuti Gatwa make his debut as the 15th Doctor in The Giggle, and later on in The Church On Ruby Road. This new Doctor Who era has been great so far, but I have noticed ...
Why The Toymaker Was A Perfect Villain
มุมมอง 11K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
In Doctor Who's 60th anniversary, the Toymaker returned as the final villain for the 14th Doctor (David Tennant) to face. The episode itself was great, but I personally found the Toymaker to easily be the best aspect of the episode, and so I decided to sorta explain why. And you can watch it if you want.
The Doctor Who Was Hated...Until He Wasn't
มุมมอง 85K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
The 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi) was quite a divisive Doctor among the Doctor Who fandom. Aside from the occasional Heaven Sent, a lot of his tenure was dismissed as being filled with "bad writing". However, with the 13th Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) era having been and gone, and Russell T. Davies and Ncuti Gatwa taking over the show in 2024, the Capaldi era of Doctor Who has achieved quite a good r...

Doctor Who Is BACK! | The Star Beast Review
Well it took almost three and a half hours but at least you managed to have your cake and eat it too with the dismissing of any concerns about modern sociopolitical-sexual agendas being hammed into season 10 only to cap it off with "the Cybermen are transgender" could've saved some time by just saying you think the discourse being shoved into the show was a good thing instead of denying it was even happening only to go on and praise something you just made up
Woah, calm down snowflake 😘
@@Cosmic_Nite I'm happy enough for you to call me that since it completely kicks the stool out from underneath your own point
Doesn't really though does it mate
based
2:06:09 glad you used the proper terminology here haha
Bring it back and find a better writer that has real soul.
No idea what you're on about or why you chose this video to say it on but sure
Peter will always be my doctor, I’ve seen almost every episode and he is just… he captures everything he needs to be. Serious, silly, kind, energetic, wise, so damn amazing
For the last time, it is a continuation not a reboot. A reboot is when you start telling a completey different story with different character history from the original story while keeping the same characters in order to tell the story in a different way. We ain’t starting over from doctor number 1 this is the next doctor.
I love this video and duck for life and man’s always gonna be one of the best doctors
finally some good fucking food!!!!!
W unintentional messaging.
I sure hope you've never had a wank in your life. Think of the millions of unborn children you've slaughtered that way, you maniac!!!
@Cosmic_Nite Midwit bait. Sperm only has half the DNA required to make a human being. Take a biology course.
@Cosmic_Nite Midwit argument. Also a fallacy of division. Also great video, I love Capaldi.
I think the 11th is best in his last season and 12 second and then the 10th/14th also depends on when then could be the 11th bc of bullshit but when I say 12th that means Peter
12 and Bill are such an underrated pairing!
Capaldi also has the best entrance of a Doctor. Sure, many others had great iconic "episode entrance" moments. But riding on a tank playing electric guitar? Also also, we need more Missy. Like, just pay mrs Gomez whatever she asks and bring her back in, if only for a couple of seasons. I would pay good money for an arc with just the Doctor and Missy as protagonists - and who would be the "companion" for whom, then? P.S. the bootstrap paradox must be the best cold open in all of Who. Like, ever.
dude wheres time heist best eipsode
Do you know what I'm doing for a past few months? I just watch every episode and then listen the explanation in this video. Amazing, thank you. Helps deeply understand Capaldi's era.
Ive spent my whole 16 years of life hearing about Doctor Who, my parents loved it so much they had a Doctor Who themed wedding and named me after one of the characters, but Ncuti's doctor is the first one ive watched in about a decade, and i love it. I cant speak to how strong the episode plots are compared to other doctors, especially since its still only the first series and i think doctors usually get at least two, but i LOVE his portrayal of the doctor. A campy doctor just makes sense to me. Baker will always be my mum's doctor, DT was my first doctor, but i think Ncuti is in the running for the title of MY doctor. I didnt watch Space Babies but i saw the rest of the episode and i adore them, the musical number was so fun, the acting was great, i pray Rogue comes back if we get another season i love him dearly. I actually really like that Ruby's mum was just some lady, cuz thats how it is to be adopted, you spend years building your biological parent up as some mystical tragedy, only to find out, a lot of the time, they were just young and afraid. Also her grandma was iconic, shoutout to the grandma.
Since the doctor was anywhere from 500 to 1500 years old, every girl he kisses is underaged to him! Lol
I know the Lie Of The Land regeneration thing is bullshit and nonesense, but the idea that Time Lords can have like, mini regenerations is really funny. Like, imagine if the Doctor got a tattoo he didnt like, and was just like yeah give me a second (one blaze of lights later) ok its gone now. He falls asleep at the beach and gets a tan and just regenrates it away. Hilarious concept to me. Terrible to have in canon, very good for a crackfic.
Can anyone imagine if Hugh Laurie was the 12 iteration of the Doctor but he acts like he did in House? Shit wouldve been gold
I just wanted to say that this video has been stuck in my Watch later playlist for months now but I'M FINALLY WATCHING IT! At the time of me writing this comment, I have not nearly finished the video yet, but wanted to say thank you for making it as I adore this era of Doctor Who. Edit: I have finished watching the video, and it was great! I appreciate that you mentioned the admittedly bad episodes as well. It's good to accept everything, both the good and the bad. I'm glad I finally got around to watching this.
So we're gonna pretend that deus ex transgender wasn't an actual resolution to an episode? Or that one of the most iconic villains of the show was turned into a generic Nazi analogue because wheelchair? Criticising stupidity like that is not the same as criticising a show for having a black character, so telling me "the show's always been woke, look at Mickey, look at Martha" etc. means dick all when my point is that going (key word here) OVERBOARD with it like the above mentioned examples makes the show undoubtedly worse. But yeah, the paradigm daleks were multi-coloured, so that's me told?
"The attempts at being progressive in the current era sometimes comes off as cheesy and like RTD is trying too hard to show how progressive he is" and "Rainbow Daleks are already a thing lol" are not mutually exclusive 😘
If someone can’t enjoy The Doctor riding on an FV4201 Cheiftain wearing sunglasses and shredding his own theme song on an electric guitar, then they have problems of their own to sort out.
Hello Cosmic Nite, I clearly feel that Jenna Louise Coleman could now return to "Doctor Who", not as Clara, but as the Doctor! I can see the Doctor regenerating in the future & adopting Clara's face. Maybe that could be part of the mystery for the same reason the Doctor regressed back to a previous incarnation. I think it would be fun. What do you think?
That would be awesome tbh!
3:43 RTD last year
my absolute favourite doctor
It's fantastic to hear somebody discussing the emotional depth and experience based on nuances portayed by the actors.
I feel like this doctor is smart and wise enough to can break the fourth wall, yet doesn't overuse it nor overdo it.
by far bill had the worst fate of all the companions her end is truly heartbreaking and one of the peaks of the new doctor who.. punches a hole in my chest every single time
Fell asleep for all of this but kept waking up 10/10 very easy to go back to sleep too
After the 12th Doctor the show fell off a cliff.
It was really hard to follow. Matt Smith
Well done.
I think I knew the whole "Stuff ends and starts anew" thing through human observation already :3 (I, as a fellow human, obviously went through the up and downs of life already, as well)
I'll say it again: Sutekh is just the flux, but with a doggy (and more specificity)
Maaaaaaaaaaarch
Capaldi was a great Doctor. He Made the poor stories given to him better.
Thank you for this detailed recap and analysis. My family got me interested in Doctor Who at Christmas in 2010 then heartless abandoned me to my newfound fandom by the end of Season 6. I felt so alone in my appreciation of Peter Capaldi's introspective Doctor. I don't feel alone anymore. Heaven Sent is absolutely a masterpiece, and easily my favorite.
You have inspired me to change a little. A person 3 years younger having a similar obsession to me does something about it and creates a beautiful video. Thank you.
Dang… he had the BBC committing conspiracy
"doesn't stop you from feeling pain, but makes you not care about it" sounds like my experience with hospital morphine, doesn't stop the pain, just made me too weak and exhausted to complain about it!
A bit long, what is it like 30 minutes? *checks time*…oh hell
he was my fave dr
I actually have a headcannon for the seeing angels moving while being stone, it's not good but at least it's something In blink the rules of the angels was actually explained by the doctor, my theory is he was just wrong, he assumed they weren't stone when they were moving because he never saw them move before
capaldi clara, billie is so much fun!!! i came for david/rose, loved the doctor with eccelston, smith got the glory eventually, capaldi was exceptional as a true fan!! i love capaldis episodes, didnt like all the doubleepisode... loved capaldi and clara, billy! calm down, how can you not like the ending of capaldi and billies ending ?!?
Capaldi’s one of my favorites.
The Fugitive Doctor does not have to be a past doctor since neither doctor remembers the other. She could be a parallel doctor from another reality.
The Listen speech is so good.
I never actually heard of doctor who fan until this came on BBC. This is my Doctor.
