I went right outside and tried this. It worked exactly as show. Took less than 1 minute literally. I did this with my 08 Escalade and I only had one good key. Now I have two. Thanks liqidarts.
Thank you bro. My dad's got a 2003 Oldsmobile silhouette and I bought 2 keys in cut, I'm taking them to be cut. Let ya know how it goes. Thanks a million. I just subscribed to your channel
I had lost my only transponder key, got a new one from the dealership for $30 using my registration and license, went home and it took two tries. My car started right up.
just got done doing this to my 2008 silverado..literally the easiest thing to do..did two keys and two key fobs in less than two minutes..got them off of amazon for $30.00 and had them cut at walmart for free. thanks for the video
Its that easy to program exactly as this guy did as long as your GM vehicle has this style key. Be sure to get a original OEM (factory) GM transporter key not an aftermarket one. A factory one would have the GM logo or the vehicle logo. If you have a Chevy the key will have a bow tie logo. Even if you pay more for a factory key blank its worth it since the key will turn easy. The reason I say to do that is because I got 2 aftermarket transporter keys for my 2010 Impala. Both work fine but I have to fiddle around to turn them. Not hard to turn but not normal. Both my original factory keys turn easy the 1st time or how they should. This happened to me with aftermarket ones but it might not happen to you but why chance it over a few dollars.
Got a transponder key off of Ebay. Had it cut. Did this procedure and other TH-cam procedure to the letter. The new one never made the lock light go out. It worked sporadically and quit a couple of times. I went super mega cheap ass on two fobs plus key on EBay. Not sure weather or not if it is a shitty key
Is there a way to reprogram my second key to be recognised by immobilizer? Key was working fine but i tried to take radio out by bit of force and the key stopped working. I have other key that only locks car manualy. And the button on starting key doesnt work.
hoping this works on my 99 cherokee. For some reason after I swapped the motor the jeep won't recognize the key thus no fuel/spark. The jeep literally sat for 18days and key has been used for 2yrs I seriously hope this helps me and if so I will come back and give thanx lol thank you for the explanation btw I didn't mind the talking this was really helpful
are you sure thats the way to do it??? i saw that light you mentioned but when i had my door and turned the key to clean my car and listen to the radio it activated the RKE system which blocked my engine then after 2 min. it blocked my battery unfortunately i bought a used car and they forgot or lost the key and gave me a simple non transponder key,
Go to the dealership and fit about $30 they will cut you a key. You must have the vin number and proof of ownership. Then you take that already cut key and program it.
Great Video. Have a cut key but lost transponder key. How I program Ford 2002 F150 Crew cab 5.4. I heard the 2002 chip setup was different from the 2004 and up.
step by step is easy put it in open to on position leave it alone for 10 min once the 10 min pass by turn off wait 7 sec and do it all over again 10 min then off for 7 sec then 10 min after the 3rd cycle off for 7 sec then turn on ur vehicle its been program
Go to dealership get key and then program it. I bought one today for 2001 Buick le-sabre cost me 55$ gotta program key now. Gomna try this trick tomorrow. I seen another video that said leave key in on position for 10 minutes turn off. Repeat 2 more times and it should crank. I tied earlier and my battery died.. So idk if it works or not.
Whoever is selling the key blanks should have a listing of all vehicles that particular GM transporter key works on. If not email them or contact them by phone. Be sure to buy an original GM transporter key. I got 2 aftermarket keys and although both work I have to fiddle around to turn. Since you have a Pontiac the factory key should have a Pontiac logo.
I went to ACE hardware with a working key. They charged me $65 to cut a new key. Then to add insult to injury they wouldn't cut another key for me as a spare that I got on the internet. Nasty company.
Not all transponder keys says Transponder on them I got an 05 Dodge Grand caravan and that takes a transponder key and it came with the original key and it doesn't say transponder on it but it uses a chip and I have a Chevy truck C1500 and an olds bravada
i had ONE key left, and it was ONLY a cut key without a transponder in it. I hand filed the key, best to have one done at Wallmart or at a locksmith, then turned the igition on, then put in the NEW Transponder key, did the 10 minute "Learn" mode 3x elswhere on TH-cam, and the NEW Transponder key DID Learn the code after 3 10 minute on modes !!! So long and short, I didn't have the TRANSPONDER key, only a cut key without the transponder.
I don't get anything when I turn the key on. Nada. Zero. Dead. My alarm went off one day while cleaning out car, for a couple of minutes. Now it is totally dead. I tried disconnecting the battery overnight but didn't help. I try locking car doors and reopening the with key. The Anti-theft will not recognize key. Not a single light or gauges work. Any solutions out there before I tear into wires and disable entire system.?
Word to the wise. Don't show off your key in the video. I can plainly see the cuts on your key allowing me to cut a key as well as the model which you even stated. If someone wanted to get into your car, you have literally made it as easy as using a key.
Of course if you loose all keys to any vehicle you won't be able to get a new one cut besides going to a lock smith or dealer. Now I think you can use any programmed transporter key for your GM vehicle to program another one. Its as simple as what he did in the video. Its also nice you don't need 2 keys just to program one new key for GM vehicles. So you know I got 2 uncut transporter keys off ebay.com for $10. I got them cut and programmed them myself (for my 2010 Impala LS).Yes its that easy the only problem I encountered was I got a hard time getting them cut.
***** I tried your way of doing it and it did not work it also stopped my good key from working for awhile i messed with the ignition for a time and moved the steering wheel alittle and it worked again but not the new key what should i do
mike beauchaine Sorry to hear that. I took a chance myself after watching videos and reading its easy to program GM transporter keys like that. It happened to work for me and both keys were around $10 so I took the chance. I had a hard time getting them cut was the biggest issue. I programmed them easy but got a Service Theft System message at first but just waited a half hour and was able to program them. Mh car is a 2010 impala. They uncut keys even came with instructions how to program. Really can't give you advice not knowing your car make and model. Contact the key seller maybe you missed a step or the new keys were not properly cut. As long as you have 2 usable keys I wouldn't mess round getting anymore keys. If you need another spare just get one cut professionally. Depending on your GM vehicle most hardware stores have them for $70 and for some vehicles Walmart can cut them for $40.
The first digit of your 17 digit VIN number must start with the number 1 or 4. If your VIN number starts with a 2 or 3 or a letter these procedures WILL NOT WORK.
not sure if this is 100% correct, most of these vans were made in the same factory, the first digit is a country code and not directly related to the vehicle or its ECM, In this group, the first digit or letter identifies the country of origin. For example, cars made in the U.S. start with 1, 4 or 5. Canada is 2, and Mexico is 3. Japan is J, South Korea is K, England is S, Germany is W, and Sweden or Finland is Y.
Order blank.. Get blank cut. Get in the car w both keys. Put original in and turn to on position until the lock symbol light goes off. Put new key in Do the same NOW IT WILL WORK. This video is really annoying.
I went right outside and tried this. It worked exactly as show. Took less than 1 minute literally. I did this with my 08 Escalade and I only had one good key. Now I have two. Thanks liqidarts.
I just tried this on my 06 Chevy Impala LTZ an it worked on the first try... Thanks your video was very helpful

Your 2006 don’t need programming
Thank you bro. My dad's got a 2003 Oldsmobile silhouette and I bought 2 keys in cut, I'm taking them to be cut. Let ya know how it goes. Thanks a million. I just subscribed to your channel
It worked after two tries on my 2004 Buick LeSabre!! God bless you
I had lost my only transponder key, got a new one from the dealership for $30 using my registration and license, went home and it took two tries. My car started right up.
This also works on 2010 G6!!!!! Thank you a lot....
just got done doing this to my 2008 silverado..literally the easiest thing to do..did two keys and two key fobs in less than two minutes..got them off of amazon for $30.00 and had them cut at walmart for free. thanks for the video

You might try a differnet seller on ebay, should work unless something else is wrong with your car
Is there a way to reprogram my second key to be recognised by immobilizer? Key was working fine but i tried to take radio out by bit of force and the key stopped working. I have other key that only locks car manualy. And the button on starting key doesnt work.

Why so rude to someone who's just trying to help others. I guess it's the new internet generation. The more negative you are the cooler you look.
Does this procedure work if we are unable to find the only key?
You need at least one key
Will that procedure work on my 07 Saturn VUE V6 2WD ????
Maybe
are you sure thats the way to do it???
i saw that light you mentioned but when i had my door and turned the key to clean my car and listen to the radio it activated the RKE system which blocked my engine then after 2 min. it blocked my battery
unfortunately i bought a used car and they forgot or lost the key and gave me a simple non transponder key,
will this work for a 1994 buick lesabre custom?
Cornelius Toney nope
what if i dont have the master key how do i program it then ?
your video You need the factory scan tool or a program from a key maker
.
Go to the dealership and fit about $30 they will cut you a key. You must have the vin number and proof of ownership. Then you take that already cut key and program it.
Ten minutes on, ten seconds off 3 times
Start at 3:00
Great tip gracias
Starts at 2:20
what if when you use the factory coded key and you don't see the locks on the dash?
What is my working key is missing the chip would it still work
Hi nice vid, what if you totally lost your keys.
Ouch, you'll have to go to the Dealer or a Locksmith/Mechanic that can hook up to your car.
Thanks
Great Video. Have a cut key but lost transponder key. How I program Ford 2002 F150 Crew cab 5.4. I heard the 2002 chip setup was different from the 2004 and up.
Is it the same or at least close to this for a 2002 buick Rendezvous cx 2 wheel drive?
Exactly
what about 1999 GMC Sierra?
I have a 2000 s10 with the same problem how do I fix it

Hi , I had the same problem on my FORD , my aunt recommended *CYBER_KOR* on Instagram and got mine done. He is also on WhatsApp +1 347 830 3644.
Dealership charged me 29.16 for keys, cut, and program.
What if I don't have the key. at all but i have a key cut that need to be programmed
step by step is easy put it in open to on position leave it alone for 10 min once the 10 min pass by turn off wait 7 sec and do it all over again 10 min then off for 7 sec then 10 min after the 3rd cycle off for 7 sec then turn on ur vehicle its been program
The dealer only charged me $8.75 for the key & programming.
what can you do if you lost the only key?
Go to dealership get key and then program it. I bought one today for 2001 Buick le-sabre cost me 55$ gotta program key now. Gomna try this trick tomorrow. Wish you would do one with keys that have chips.

You literally have the same name as me. No lie.
WHAT IF I HAVE AN 08 PONTIAC G6 AND I BUY A BLANK GMC TRANSPONDER KEY TO CUT?! Sorry this is urgent. They want me to pay 150 for a new key...

will it work on a 99 Lincoln Navigator?

$4 - ACE just cut 2 keys for me TODAY. your ACE sucks.
Brian Fedorko $24 for TWO new keys. $20 for the blanks. $4 to have them cut. Free programming thanks to this video on the TH-cam.
Bought that internet key plus matching flob on the internet. Bye,bye Ace. I'll cut the key else ware.
if the key won't turn you have a bad cut you need to get a new blank and recut
Not all transponder keys says Transponder on them I got an 05 Dodge Grand caravan and that takes a transponder key and it came with the original key and it doesn't say transponder on it but it uses a chip and I have a Chevy truck C1500 and an olds bravada
good advice
great thanks a lot
Now you've got to find his van....
>>HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO ROTATE THE KEY WHILE """BLABING""
So I go to Walmart w the key? Or w out the key. I don't get it.
how about a non transponder key for my 07 Saturn vue? any help.
if the key doesnt have a chip, you dont need to do anything, just get a new one cut.
07 Vue doesn't have a transponder key, the 2008 does however
You can alos use ON board programming for this vehicle! Or T-Code Pro.
transponderkeyshawaii
does this work for all cars?
06 Pontiac gxp worked
Awesome, that's the great thing about GM vehicles, many work the same way.
Also, Amazon.com you can possibly get a key.
I like
$98.44 autozone. Dealership $317.99
