    Worked for my 2002 grand prix after I had to chat with retailer and clear up programming instructions. The paper instructions that came with the fab stated to turn key forward to ACC and back a couple times. This video showed the need to pull out the MALL PGM fuse and than turn key back than forward than leave in back position. The remote entry fab was programmed per video and works perfectly..

    Worked for me, thanks! 2002 Grand Prix GT. One thing though, not sure but I think you mis-read the fuse name? Should be the MALL PGM fuse (10A). Looks like you pulled the right one though. Top of the last column on the right.
    Anyway, I think the trick I learned here was to do the Acc/Off/Acc/open door/close door fast, just like you showed. My key lock cylinder has been removed already, people might want to take that dang thing out. No ill effect on the car, just makes it so you can take the key out anytime and never get a stuck key again.

    I have an 01 prix gt. I bought it with the original key. If I buy this key fob, will it work on my car without me having to buy an alarm system? Do these cars originally have key fobs?

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      if u have electric locks and u have the same fuse like in the video and also most importantly make sure u are able to turn the switch to 1 step back cause most cars these years have the issue not opening correctly that's why I replaced the lock too with new keys.

    How do i get the fuse out? And do we put it back once were done

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      use so me pliers to pull it out or the little white puller that sometimes is net to the fuses. once the fob is programmed you can put the fuse back

    Looked really good. Do you know if this will work for a 2007 grand prix? if not do you know anything that will, other than using a dealer to program it?

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      this procedure won't work on that year you will need a programmer. here is you can check this in ebay and it comes with a programmer already for cheap.

      if you do not have the fuse like the on in the video you will not be able to do it and you will need a scanner to do it.

    This doesn't work for a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. I've tried and tried and looked and looked, and have had no success with finding directions on how to program a new fob for the vehicle in question. They all say to pull the key back, but, mine does not go back. It only goes forward. I guess at this rate, I'm going to find a GM dealer(or some other dealer)and pay them some ridiculous amount of money in order for them to do it for me.

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      these cars also have an issue with the ignition release switch. sometimes the key won't even get out of the cylinder and that could be the reason why you can't complete the full programming process

    • @jonathanbaenziger3182
      @jonathanbaenziger3182 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JVFIXLLC I've had no problems like that the many year I've had the car. I've always been able to get the key out of the cylinder. It's not so much that I can't finish it, I can't even start it. Looks like it might be off to the dealer for me to see if they can help.

      if you have your original key u just start the car first with that one and leave it running for like 20seconds then remove it and then insert the key u want to add and just start it and it will automatically program the key.
