They really dropped the ball.i got mine and really upset you can’t chain or automate clips.i bought mine for programming external gear ....no song mode....
I've been planning to get a TR-8S for quite some time now. One feature that I really love about the TR-8S is the ability to have the step sequence trigger a random sample from a defined sample folder. I've seen the ability to set a triggers probability, but choosing the triggered sample randomly opens up a new level of creativity in my opinion. Is there any way to have the MC-707 do this magic?? Secondly the auto fill function really made the TR-8S a powerful performance device. Is this feature still present or is it replaced by the scatter function?? Would greatly appreciate a response!
@@ogasi1798 Uh, this is what I'm afraid of... It totally ruins whole idea of using it to play live sets instead of Ableton. Yep, ableton projects also needs to be loaded with pause, but you are not limited with 16 clips per track and 8 scenes there.
Why can’t the big manufacturers get this right ? For live electronic performance many artists require seamless transitions between tracks. Elektron realised this way back in 2011 with the Octatrack, Akai ignored it with the Force and now Roland have done the same with the 707. Sure you can use an additional looper but then you need a mixer to transition . So another two pieces of gear to travel with and it’s no longer an all in one solution.
Bye bye tax refund. I’ve been waiting for this since the 909 groovebox - a great and powerful tool but also with many drawbacks. Roland seems to have really created a well designed and functional machine.
A true groovebox has pattern chain. So a verse pattern, then a chorus pattern and then hit play. The verse plays forever!

Roland added pattern chaining but recent word is that as of OS version1.6 it is buggy. Pattern chaining is still not an arrangement/arranger.
they have fixed that now! it's called scene chain
Cant complain now anymore. Very happy. I just miss sidechain and favorite tone folder.
Ok this is convincing me even more! This looks great!
I think this is the Groovebox I’ve been long waiting. Even the deluge or latest mpc’s haven’t been so appealing
OK COOL... but I cannot find the Scatter sequencing Mode... You didn`t explain that
Awesome
does record midi from midi in or usb from a daw?
Can I trigger the Zen Core sounds with my Roland GR-55 ? So far this appears to be fantastic.

Can you chain projects? How to organize a long liveset on it?
no - use an additional piece of gear to hold the gaps while changing projects
@@ogasi1798 WIll it loose the clock sync while loading the project?
@@AlexandreBique highly unlikely

Hello. How many semitones / octaves can the sample be transposed to?
Is there an Auto-Fill button?
would be cool to see a video of looping incoming live audio (ie vocals or guitar) - or is this not possible with the MC-707?
John Henry Dale see the video where loopop did that. He is so good at understanding and explaining synths
Can it record audio and how many tracks?
