    Depending on power I think a new fuel pump is in order. Maybe lowering springs like Strano, better shocks and of course sway bars are something you should absolutely add to your list. Better brakes also

    headers, slp loudmouth exhaust with a off road x pipe, intake manifold, bigger throttle body, slp ram air intake, fuel injectors, cam, mass air flow sensor, gears for the rear. there you go. i’ve built a few of these. Texas speed makes the best bolt ons for your ls1.

    Good content. Thanks for keeping the info plain and simple. Love my 2001 Camaro SS, with t-tops, CME, and 6M. Start with a plan for how you want to use the car, and go from there. First I did when I bought it 18 years ago was put BMR subframes on it, torque arm, panhard bar, adjustable LCA, trans tunnel brace,and front strut tower brace. No rattles, it’s solid as a rock. Start with a strong foundation and work up from there. I then added AFR 205 heads, Comp Cams springs and cam, JBA exhaust (was a Cali car, so smog), SLP y-pipe, SLP Flo pack, Taylor spark plug wires, and Royal Purple fluids. Hot Rod TV did a show many years ago, where they took a stock LS1 Camaro and put all Royal Purple in the engine, trans, and rear, and it picked up about 10 hp at the wheels (LOL), so every little bit counts. Also has Strano Bilstein shocks and Eibach Pro kit lower springs. It still needs better brakes, deeper gears, and probably stronger rear end, but it traps 113 mph, and pulls down 27 mpg when cruising on the highway at 75mph...it’s my favorite in my stable. I subscribed.

      Thanks.We still have a long way too go when it comes to making videos but we have learned alot.This video your leaving a comment on is one of our first so it is pretty rough.lol Your car sounds awesome it has all the options I would have wanted.Other than being an SS my car really isn't at all what I would have wanted but I wanted an 4th gen SS and they are very rare in this area and it was in excellent condition so I went for it.You were very smart on your mods.Thanks for watching and commenting we love interacting with viewers.

    Save your money on heads, ls1 flow very well , you aren't spinning huge rpms skip the headers, dual exhaust , cam - with springs kit , Cai, a vortech Vsi-3 supercharger with intercooler , tune it and 500+ rwhp ....now add an Auto trans cooler, those suspension upgrades with nitto drag radials and you'll be running good.

    With all that added power the 10 bolt rear in these cars will not hold up especially launching and hooking up with drag radials... so with all this added power I wouldn’t even bother sticking with the 10 bolt and I would upgrade to a solid 12 bolt from strange Engineering or if you’re making a shit
    Ton of power I’d go with the 9 inch

    • @LSxMotorsports2021
      @LSxMotorsports2021  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well it really comes down to your budget. Most people start with an air lid or cat back exhaust. Then usually a set of long tube headers if you don't have to deal with emissions testing. There is also what they call free mods which don't really do much but they are free such as throttle body bypass and porting the stock throttle body. If the 1/4 mile performance is important to you Drag radials are a great upgrade and if you have an automatic a torque converter is a great upgrade and if you have a manual practice can really lower your 1/4 mile times but with a manual you will have to soft launch it because the rear end is very weak so if you want to launch hard you will need to upgrade the rear end which won't be cheap. There really is no limit to what you can do on these cars but as with everything it can get pretty expensive.

    I think porting the throttle body to add power is a myth. I did mine years ago and also had a ls6 intake to accept ls2 102mm throttle body think lingerfelker charged more to weld ls2 flange on my intake then the intake cost originally and that didn't change my hp neither because i never maxed the stock one out to begin with.Lol Even now with a blow dryer

      Well mine doesn't,I even added about a 1/2 intch of foam door seal to seal it completely to the hood.But it also sits back about a1/2" further then it is supposed too.I blame that on the SLP smooth bellows but it could just be poorly designed.I had to drill different holes for the brackets that hold the air box in place.And also the one I have was designed for the trans am so that may also be the reason it didn't fit perfectly.But it was easily modified to work and it is completely sealed and I have a hole cut into it so it grabs air from the SLP ram air scoop because the SS hood doesn't supply much air.
