An auntie in my hometown sells this!! The only difference is she used lemongrass as the stick 😍 she serves it with sambal.. i cant wait to make this on my own!
Hey Jess, yeah, lemongrass stick will have a great flavor addition. :-) my aunt likes to use lotus root. Good luck and happy cooking. :-)
Ini namanya apa?
Such wonderful idea!!!
thanks so much. the idea is from the seller I met growing up. :-)

now we can veganize anything we want, so delectable to resist
yass! :-)
Looks amazing! What can I substitute for the tofu skin? Is there an another type of skin I can used made from another plant base product?
Made this today. It's amazing. I actually got lazy from twirling it around the stick. So I made a ball instead hahahah.
yay, thanks so much Abigail. I am pretty sure the balls version are yum as well. Many thanks for your comment. Have a wonderful day. Best, WoonHeng
Hi! What brand of yuba did you use? And can I purchase this in any local store? Thank you!😊
I’m a vegan as well for the past 10 years. The chicken looks very realistic, but this method is very hard on the digestive tracts! Looks good though 👍
i feel i just found the perfect vegan recipe for my game of thrones-dinnerparty (for the people who do not eat fish, what i had planned as the main dish) 😍
That looks amazing but I'll have to figure out how to make it without an air fryer unless I decide it's time to get one.
Hey Debbie, you can place the drumsticks on a greased baking pan an bake at 350F.
While you're wrapping the yuba into the drumstick form, could you baste with the soy sauce mix as you go? Or would that be too salty?
Yes you can and you can dilute the baste before putting into the air fryer. Good suggestion! :-)😊
Where can I purchase the sugarcane sticks? Or is there an alternative which is easier to get? :) thank you for the recipe and video BTW. It looks great! I'll have to try it 🥰
yes, you can use carrot and cut into sticks. :-) or popsicle wooden sticks.
You can buy sugar cane in the can and cut them. Super easy👍🏽
Hello, sis. I want to know where can i buy that air fryer? And usually how much does it cost? Thank you ❤
hey dear, you can check it online. My is Ninja and I got them on sale during Thanksgiving. If I remember correctly, it's less than 60bucks. :-)
Hey, i really love tofu skin, is that ok if i fry this with vegetable oil?
of course, Dewi. That's how most seller do too. :-)
At the other tofu skins you should make Tofu food skin roll .... yuba
thanks so much for sharing. I do have a video for yuba skin veggie roll. :-)
TFS have you tried frying in oil? Just wondering 💭
it should be better! frying in oil is also faster. :-)
What's meaning 5 spices powder? Nutmeg, garlic, pepper please explain thank you
Hi there, I used Chinese 5 spice powder that is premix.
Hi! Can I ask what the plastic wrappers are for? I’m reducing my plastic waste so I’m hoping I can skip the wrapping of the drumsticks. Thanks :)
hi, I think it's to help keep the shape in the fridge!
Hi Jasmine, it helps to keep them in shape, you can try to use parchment paper as well.
yes, Jess, you are right. :-) Thank you!
@@WoonHeng hehe I tried without the plastic wrap and it came out less plumpy, but it still tasted amazing 😍
You can also use Rice Paper to create the chicken “skin” and it’s edible😋
I think the lotus can be used as a stick
yup yup! I had on my blog because my aunt likes to use that. Thanks, Annie!
😋❤️❤️

請問食材能翻譯為中文嗎
What brand is the tofu skin that you use?
ah.. it's called Xiang Ju with a big lotus flower as the logo
❤️🍀
thank you!
Hello, Can i deep fry if I don't have an air fryer ?
Someone please answer😢😢
Looks really delicious and is a lot simpler than a other vegan drumstick recipe I normally make. :) Is it possible to make them in the oven? If yes, which temperature and how long?
Hi Hannah, yes, you can. Over on Instagram, a lot of readers have made with the baked version. You can lay the wrapped vegan drumsticks on a greased baking pan. Then, brush or spray a thin layer of top. Bake at 375-425F depending on the oil you use until golden. If you want a crispier top, you can broil it for the last few minutes.
@@WoonHeng Thanks a lot! 😊

Looks yummy ✨ love from Hot POORIZ kitchen . Living . Gardening .
To the only person to dislike this video, you must be having a bad day. Turn that frown upside down, and that dislike into a like.
:-) it's okay, probably a mistake lol. :-)
I would eat em' if they were mass produced. This unfortunately just takes too long to make.
they actually do have vegan drumsticks but made with soy protein and not yuba. :-) you can find that at a lot of online vegan grocery stores. :-)
