This was delicious! Made it yesterday and only a small portion left. I used a butter knife to swirl the pie filling a bit more evenly throughout the cake and it worked like a charm. I also sprinkled raw sugar over the top as you suggested, about ten minutes before it was done. That made a beautiful and delicious topping. Can't wait to try this with other flavors of pie fillings. Especially apple.

Like you cobblers have a crust on the bottom and top, my grandma made the best cobblers crust on the top and bottom, I wish I would have gotten her recipe cause you sure can’t find a recipe for one likes hers now

I call this cuppa cobbler. I have not tried a lemon filling, but that sure looks good because I love lemon everything. When I have made this type cobbler, usually canned fruit pie filling, just when it comes out of the oven, I sprinkle sugar on top of the crust, it melts a little bit over the crust...just adds that extra special touch. I don't put anything on my cobbler, I want to taste the filling/fruit and the crust only. Bravo on tasting that steaming hot cobbler, you must have a tongue of silicone. 😂 Thanks for this video and recipe, keep em coming. 💗
I wonder if I could make the pudding from a jello powder mix . I'm like you. I usually make my own custard filling. I'm going to give it a try , so if it's a flop no issue lol
I’ve never refrigerated mine… I myself prefer it while it still has some kinda crispy little edges here and there… the longer it sets out the dough bites become softer…. However the rest of my family n friends have no problem with that lol… but I think the refrigeration is just a choice and not mandatory 😊
Nope!… It’s an odd batter, but it works well!.. Bake it a little more browned on top than I did in this particular video… It’ll make the crust have a better bite😊

I watched you put your left index finger into the can to taste the lemon pie filling (possibly adding bacteria from your finger into the pie filling) and then lick that finger. A few minutes later I watched you use the same finger to scoop the last bit of pie filling from the spoon into the cobbler. CROSS CONTAMINATION of bacteria from your mouth to the cobbler. The baking will probably kill the bacteria, although you can't be 100% sure. It is important to be aware of small habits that can create a health hazard. You want to present an accurate example of safe food handling when viewers are learning about cooking by watching your videos.
