      Glad you liked the video! GR Corolla base model actually costs the same as this. Not as many tech features but the GR is much faster. So a good toss up for sure on what car is better for which buyer

      Also too many dealerships are selling the Corolla GR way over MSRP one dealership has it 10k above. I don't understand why these dealerships aren't getting reviewed bomb i wish people would start.

    The price is really good, a base model can be negotiated sub 30, especially with a VIP letter. For older buyers or folks with sensitive ears, the exhaust has some loud pitches and drony low tones. Getting a quieter performance car like BMW is way pricer. GR Corolla likely is more reliable, quieter sound, more impressive engineering, but less space in the back seat, harder to find, make calls, order and get a salesperson to not up charge you. Kia Stinger GT is auto, no good, Hyundai is not for everybody, Acura Type S is great but overpriced. The WRX handles extremely well and feels solid for a lower price point car. VW Golf GTI or R is good, may want to check into the reliability, GTI had some issues. Small backseat. R used can really get the price down, solid car. It’s too bad they don’t make a Honda people’s sport sedan with more pep, a Civic with 250-300 hp that’s 35K or under, reliable, and built on a higher production with no MSRP markup. The Si is way underpowered. The Type R markup is dumb, it should be a cheaper price for younger folks, it is more on that track car end for tech, however, good stowage room for daily runs to stores.

      Dude in my city its 37k for a 2023 model

    • @craftiestbrews5246
      @craftiestbrews5246 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my city, what they do is list the price when it’s incoming, it’s very high, then it drops several thousand its first day on the lot, and the VIP program can add a touch of leverage, since it’s no greater than invoice. Prices may have risen a bit turning over the year, but Subaru is generally ethical and should be willing to work with you. Hopefully Subaru isn’t raising prices a lot with mega inflation (almost disguised hyperinflation). Some car data programs also showed last year some negotiation ability vs. other brands.

    The sti were discontinued because Toyota has joined %20 and using Subaru technology for Toyotas sports car's like the corolla gr. But you can tune the wrx to 300 hp, just make sure you get the right tune. Haven't done it yet, but will do. Still doing research for the right tune

    GRC already has some track overheating issues with its AWD system. That 3-cyl engine might not be as reliable as ppl think, just because its Toyota. I get the feeling they might be cutting corners... we've already seen problems with the new Tundra V6 engine.

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well rally cross is completely different that driving to work on the street lol, taking a car outside street use isn’t a fault of the manufacturer. Rally cross vehicles will get heavily modified for that type of driving.
      This isn’t even a 3 cylinder either, so why bring that up?
      The tundra only had a software issue that needed updating.

    The VW gti/Golf R have horrible cheap feelings manual shifters, and the core trim GR Corrola is priced at 50k used. Those cars aren't really comparable to the vb wrx.

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  ปีที่แล้ว

      The GR Corolla starts at $35k. Even the Circuit edition is less than $50k. The basic GR Corolla is a direct competitor in price to this. Much harder to find and acquire. But same price
      www.toyota.com/grcorolla/
      Used market is a different story since the GR is going for a ton. But people are buying them for MSRP they are just appreciating in value tremendously right now. But new for new MSRP these can be the same price.

    • @diallo1347
      @diallo1347 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BrosFOURRSpeed I didn't say the msrp was 50k, I said DEALERSHIPS are charging 50k for used and even new core trim GR Corrolas. Toyota dealers and their "market adjustments + dealer add-ons" are the reality, so good luck getting a used core trim for 46k. The circuit edition is going for 65-70k. That is what make them not comparable to the wrx which can bought for under msrp.
