I don't see why not but make sure whichever one you use your not using for the hotspot. Also I'm not sure if you will need a phone plan or if you can use a tablet plan with a phone IMEI but I'm theory yes it will work

Sorry for the late response. Did you get it going? No sim card inside when you do it. Sounds weird but it could be your computer. Try using another computer. Also, does DC Unlocker work with the firmware version on your nighthawk?

It would work with visible but I am not sure if it'll work with that Netgear air card. You would have to check the DC unlocker website to see if that's something that's compatible with IMEI repairs

They don't have tablet plans they only offer phone service so I'm assuming visible won't work 🤷🏿‍♂️ also it says imei number isn't compatible with visible does tablet I get imei number from have be unlocked also?

Well the problem here is your going to have to write a phone IMEI instead and your bill is going to be more money with a phone line. Since visible doesn't have a tablet line you can't use a tablet IMEI. Make sure the phone IMEI you use your not using that phone with a SIM card you don't want both IMEIs connected to towers at the same time this will flag the carrier and risk your account getting banned so whatever IMEI you use make sure the original device your not going to be using anymore.

This will work however you will be using your tablet "tethering" data. If you login to your account you will see the tethering usage vs "normal data" going up. Eventually it will slow down to 2g or 3g (can't remember which)

@@TheTravelinTruckah mine doesn’t slow down at all it will send me a message after 25g but still stays the same speed rn I’m at 325g still same speed and mine don’t show tethering it’s just normal data usage my plan is grandfatherd

@SuperBlunt ahhhh okay that makes sense then thought you meant a new plan. Most guys watching this are on a new plan that has tethering limits.

@@TheTravelinTruckahwell the plan is a secret plan for tables but with mine I bought a imei from eBay and it’s flashed to be able to used it with a hotspot because in reality we’re not supposed to use a tablet unlimited plan in a hotspot it’s supposed specifically be in a tablet only I had this plan before it got discontinued it was 35 a month for unlimited but now it’s 20$

The Ethernet port won't matter since your not using it and windows 11 should be fine

Your the second one that said that recently. Do you have an updated firmware version? Can you double check that you have a firmware version thats supported by DC Unlocker?

What's interesting with your comment though is it seems like the device is replying back. AT commands are sent directly to the modem inside the nighthawk. Basically that error is saying the command failed or wasn't correct. Which again makes me believe you could have a higher updated firmware or something is wrong with the computer.

What are you speeds otherwise?

Ahh yeah I've seen this myself depending on the area you live in. No matter what you do your going to experience it but if you have a weak signal you might want to grab an external antenna it'll help a lot that's why I did at my house. Made a huge difference when the speeds slow down I'm at about 90 Mbps down which is fine.

Yeah you can use it for WiFi. Just don't ever have both on at the same time if you have a SIM card in both. Better to just not have a SIM card in the tablet at all but yeah WiFi is perfectly okay even if the hotspot is on.

I'm not 100 percent sure why but some states in the US allow us to pull 2 trailers at once with an endorsement permit. However there some catches to it. Aside from not many states allowing 2 53ft trailers for the states they don't allow it you can only stay on the highway, you can't leave the highway from my understanding. We are allowed to pull 2 small trailers in all states but that's not more freight. Really just comes down to laws.

Hey If you are still having issues finding the plan he's talking about I can walk you through it. You do not need a business account but you do need to know exactly what to say. The plan is not advertised and they don't go out of their way to help people get set up on the plan since it is beyond cheap. I have been using the same plan since back when the M1 was brand new and 4g lte seemed like you'd found Nirvana. Now I use a 5g lte version and I can't believe I ever thought 4g was fast lol. It reminds me of when I bought my first US ROBOTICS 56k x2 modem. I just dated myself didn't I.....oops lol. Anyway if you still need a hand let me know and I'll set up a temp email so we can talk. I'd suggest doing the same thing so you won't have to worry about passing out your real email. If you're unfamiliar just search for temp web based email account and there are several free ones. There are a couple apps for that too. Anyway Cheers

I see att has an unlimited 5g cellular plan where they dont slow down your data even if its busy i feel like that would be ideal if you could get it to work

It's significantly cheaper on the monthly bill and less likely to have issues as a hotspot is more like a tablet. Tablet lines are usually about $20 a month where phone lines are at least $40 a month.

Don't update it whatever you do just leave it at the version it's on. No it's usually not updated at least in my cases. The 3 I have all had a much lower firmware but some of the higher firmwares are not supported likely because Netgear patched/fixed the IMEI repair method.

No don't do that. You have to own the device and it can't be used at the same time on a cell plan

I wouldn't use a phone for the IMEI but I have not tested that. Possibly you need to use a different apn since it's a phone IMEI and not a tablet

That's a good question. Firmware updates are usually updated on new devices. My suggestion would be a used one or wait and hope your firmware will work soon with DC Unlocker

@@TheTravelinTruckah I just bought an M6 Pro 6500 and has a firmware that is not supported. I can't find in the forum where to post the question if the do have plans to work on the current firmware that are not supported. Do you know if they still try and add support for the firmware that currently not supported?

It sounds like the IMEI could be wrong or not working. Are you sure the IMEI was entered right and saved successfully? It's not a blacklisted IMEI and not being used right? It's unlikely they figured this out. It is possible but very unlikely. Hopefully someone else can chime in and verify for you if they are having similar issues. Is it a 5g tablet or 4g tablet your using? Also, once you pay to change the IMEI you can change it on that M6 as many times as you want for free. Maybe try turning the hotspot data on and just see if the data is showing as hotspot usage.

@@TheTravelinTruckah I bought 3 different M6 devices, thinking it was maybe the device, firmware etc. Changed IMEI etc on all 3, tried 2 different SIMs (phone and data sim cards) and it showed Tmobile that I was indeed using Hotspot. So I've returned the M6 devices and bought the GL.iNet GL-X3000. Had the device IMEI changed, did some command line changes, and now I'm getting what I asked for. 500+mb download speeds, no hotspot data, no data cap cause Unlimited Premium data. I couldn't figure out the M6 issue, but was lucky and able enough to figure it out for another capable device. I want to thank you though for your video, you gave me a reason to find something else that could work. No - More - Hotspot - Throttling. Cheers!

Glad you figured out another method but I am surprised this didn't work and wondering what went wrong. I have a modded modem/router myself and that works the same as the m6 did for me aside from the process of changing the IMEI. Just really odd it didn't work and I'm sorry about that. I use mine with ATT and it's definitely not showing up as hotspot data being used but that's just ATT. I have tried it with Verizon and that worked fine but T-Mobile i use in my custom modem because I need the Ethernet jacks for the house.

Well you don't need a 5g IMEI of course without one you won't have 5g. My recommendation would be to buy a broken 5g tablet on that. You should be able to get a broken one pretty cheap. You only need the IMEI from it

Don't quote me on this but I believe if it's locked the IMEI should still work. Although the tablet in the SIM wouldn't work. I'm not 100 percent sure though. I've always used att tablets because in my hotspot I use att

Well if you use a 4g tablet you won't get 5g at least not with att.

I don't no but I have tried it accidentally should I say. I could only get 4g it would never connect to 5g until I switched the IMEI to a new 5g tablet I had then 5g worked on the hotspot

Glad to hear you figured it out. I'm not sure why the firestick is using hotspot data I have att and I use a fire TV all the time with no data usage. If it helps I'm using an android tablet for the IMEI on an att business tablet line.

Even more interesting as I am doing more testing on it, and found some of the traffics from Firestick were considered as normal, such as speed tests. But my TH-cam TV stream is logged as “hotspot “ which in T-Mobile’s term, it was capped at 3G speed. It could be the difference between Apple devices vs. Android devices. I try the same with Apple TV, it worked just fine as normal data traffic. Thanks for the quick reply.
