- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will get these three big upgrades. Samsung is planning to equip the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with their new anti-reflective coating display that reduces the screen glare. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will also get the titanium frame making the phone much more premium. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in July.

These 'upgrades' are complete bullshit. It's so disappointing being a Samsung customer these days. Why the hell can't they just give us the damn features we want. A wider front screen, ultra cameras, built-in s pen, and faster charging. I've resisted the OnePlus Open so far, but I'm seriously losing patience with Samsung. The upcoming Open 2 looks like a more viable option at this stage.
I have to agree 100% with you. How about "better" upgrades like a unique Snapdragon x-like chip, premium AI features, cameras, apps, literally anything that should give the folding screen users an incentive to feel rewarded for spending top dollar?
Exatcly. The software is the only reason i'm being patient. But they've got until next year, because thats gonna make it or break it for me.
I'm even considering getting a OnePlus Open 2 this year (if it comes and is good)

💯 Samsung continues to drop the ball. At this point the only reason why I haven't switched is because it's easier to transfer my data.

Until Samsung makes a fold with the front display the same size as a galaxy ultra device I'll be staying away. There is no excuse for them to not do this. Chinese phone makers are running circles around Samsung with their foldable device options

Facts! I purchased the OnePlus Open last year because of this and love it! I find myself using the outer display about 90% of the time since it's bigger than my prior ZPhone4

Then stick to conventional slab phones. You don’t need a foldable.

Fold and Flip have 2 batteries, they technically have the capability to charge double the speed of S series, I don't know why wouldn't they use this fact and just boost the speed ...

I owned the Z Fold 5, now own the Z Flip 5, and owned many S line phones. So I am a avid fan of Samsung phones. What is somewhat dismaying is why the Fold line does not get the same level of peak specs as the S Ultra. Or why should the S Folds not get the top of the line specs? We are talking about nearlyt 2K phones.
Have they fixed all the issues with the inside screen breaking after use. I'm not that hard on phones and I've had four fold 3

May just go back to getting a candy bar phone and tablet 🤷♂️ I got the fold 4, and it just needs to be thinner, have a normal phone sized cover screen, better case options for protection, no crease when unfolded and waaaaay better hinge protection...
Periscope camera is a must need thing for me to go for it
No space on the back panel without incorporating a huge camera bump. Having an enormous camera bump will in turn affect weight distribution and make the device top-heavy.

Right? I'm closer to the sun elevation @ my house is 7k ft. So Having brighter screens is always a HUGE PLUS! This a noon I was outside waiting for Uber w/my Z Fold5 switched to adaptive brightness, Then I could use it! Also had my Flip5, switched to adaptive! IT WORKS!

As a Fold5 user, I'm curious why everyone is asking for faster charging. I mean, it's good to have faster charging, but isn't 25W enough? Never thought it was slow...

It's gonna have the same chip as the S24 Ultra. Cameras will stay the same as last year, and as for AI stuff, it's gonna get all the same features as the S24 Ultra, maybe even some extra ones.

The perfect upgrades for me would be, wider screen, bigger battery(for the wider screen) ultras cameras, s pen isn't a must but cool if they did, hopefully less crease too

Im so tired of samsung making the Z fold they most priciest device ever but also doesnt include the best of the best in it.Theyve had enough time to shaft people and push out the same device year after year , but its way past the point that they can keep this up.Problem is samsung has become full apple, they see apples sheep strategy working for them and copied it for themselves ,minimal upgrades like the iphone but charging and arm and a leg still. I think the antireflective will only apply to the outside screen. I don't see how it can apply to the screen inside
I was very opposed to the AI features but I installed 6.1 yesterday evening and it's brilliant, comparing my s23 ultra with my friends s24 ultra there's practically no difference.
S23 here. Animations are slower and still aren't smooth and polished. Inconsistencies still aren't fixed.

until it has as good of cameras as the ultra I will not be spending 2k. I do not mind the charging speed if it is for safety and longer life of the battery.

I don't need wide screen. This screen is good to operate with one hand. If need bigger - open damn fold.
That's exact purpose, to have compact device that lays natively in your hand but can transform to big almost tablet size phone.
We all were asking for a big screen because the inside of the phone when opened and closed gets a large crease. The tablet feature is useful for work purposes. It shouldn’t be used that often. If the front of the screen was a little bigger you wouldn’t need to open the phone so much and there would be less of a crease.

The reason why I stay away and use the S Ultra line is the price. I would much rather pay 1,300k as opposed to nearly 2k.

Samsung should roll out 65w, 85w,100w charging and just place in toggles to turn off faster charging if the user wants. They did so for Ultra Fast and Super Fast charging and when 45w was competitive those were awesome features.
Note to Samsung, take all the best qualities of the folds out there, put them in your fold , boom ! You got a home run.

I'm probably echoing a lot of people here.... but honestly it'll be another disappointment if we don't get a front screen the same size as at least the regular galaxy, cameras that match the Ultra.... especially at this price point, and a better battery.... you know the actual "upgrades"
Samsung sticking with 25W charging makes no sense when the MIDRANGE Galaxy M55 has 45W fast charging.
I really want to make the cover and inner screen wider plus even though the z fold cameras are very good i just want samsung to put even better cameras on the z fold 6 it will be amazing hopefully samsung make the z fold 6 the proper upgrade that people from z fold 2 z fold 3 and z fold 4 wants cmon samsung do it for our customers

Today visited a Samsung outlet. I asked if Fold 6 is coming out with better camera specs, to match S24 Ultra's. The staff said, it's positioned as a business/productivity phone, so the camera is going to be lesser specs than Ultra.

Have fold 2, 3 and 4.. skipped the 5, if they keep the ultra slow 25 w charging, I am strongly considering upgrading / switching to a chinese foldable despite ot being a grey import.
Omds I am ACTUALLY so upset. 25W on an 'Ultra' Phone is not nearly fast enough to be considered 'Ultra.' And then they can't even offer the luxuries of the ultra phone as well on the folds, even though you are paying around 40-50% more for it.
I got the s24 ultra but this zfold upgrade is bs. titanium and charging speed? lol give them the spen, s24 ultra screen, and ultra camera. Samsung also needs to improve the inside screen tech. otherwise there's no point in buying this phone.
Samsung needs to put decent cameras on the Fold 6. C'mon Samsung, why are you holding back. Don't go the same route that took down Blackberry.
It's quite disappointing that the charging speed isn't faster. However, there might be a silver lining to this. The battery life and the lifespan of the battery itself might be longer due to the slower charging speed.
I wish Samsung would give it to midrange phones but my A54 won't get those AI features :(

I have the fold 3 from 2022..., and for me the big problem is the single display is too small... They will Make a bigger outside display...

Ive jump to fold 5 for my first fold phones.. but honestly im gonna jump back to S25 ultra.. fold is great but just not my cup of tea... im gonna wait for the s25 ultra release and trade in..
If they don't add S Pen support to the outer screen then I'll probably dump my ZFold5 and go back to a candy bar phone and trade in for a S24 Ultra. Samsung can't expect to gain market share when they keep the same cameras, barely expand the battery, keep the ridiculously slow wireless charging speeds, and increase the outer screen by tenths of a millimeter all while charging the same price or even more for it.
We want a bigger front screen, the same size as the S24 ultra. If we wanted a small phone we would simply buy the small devices.
I would only buy a foldable phone for media cosumption.
But because of the (square-ish) aspect ratio I`m not interested in it.

I've been a samsung fan for 30 years. I'm sick of the games. No s pen slot. No wider display. Terrible colors. Can't use the s pen on the outer display. They aren't listening at all.
Samsung is giving us everything we don't need or care about. Just give us a bigger cover display and keep the rest of that shit and I'm satisfied. The device will be perfect with just a bigger cover display. Just think about this phone with the same size cover display as the one plus open and an integrated s pen. They would kill the competition with those two additions alone.

Z Fold and Z Flip screen are not durable. Samsung authorized repair center even informed me to not get one of those phone due to the amount of peeling they have to deal with.
Im done buying folds with minimal change. I want triple fold from samsung that chinese brands like huawei and xiaomi have been doing for years.

When Samsung sees another bad sales year for their foldable phone, they just need to look at how old and out dated their features are. They keep saying that they can't add an s pen or bigger front display because it's too heavy, which is bullshit.
Chinese phone makers like OPPO have specs on their foldables that give the galaxy ultra series a run for its money. Samsung is just gonna get left in the dust if they don't give users the specs they want.

Wen built in s-pen to finally make the Fold a true Note phone????????? Also make DEX a serious competitor and bring Linux on Dex (LOD) back! Was one of the dumbest decisions to drop that and get a 6month exclusive on Microsoft products that no one really uses on phones. Better to have LOD which will give you a hardcore dedicated group that loves your product/services.
