SYNOPSIS: A huge spaceship that get lost on the edge of the universe. Within which everything is dead, and has sunk into oblivion. People have died and no one will tell you what happened here. Only the old robot, pilot who is also long dead, continues to patrol the endless corridors and execute the last command of his pilot. But one day, the door of the old space ships open again....

What's with all the criticism? This short was fucking made by one man and you guys fucking expect him to prevail in every fucking job?

Im not sure what you mean. Im just saying people have no idea how much work these animations are. It takes me months to get 60 seconds and i am not happy with the results. The modeling in this movie alone is a massive amount, the texturing, animating, and rendering....It looks impossible for one person

Dear gods............if one person can do this much for a short, I want to see the whole thing either as a film or game.........utterly amazing work and if this is just a portfolio thing......well they should have graphics houses pounding on the door to hire them.......

Matthew Sykes - It was actually a good short film.
The only thing that bothered me was the slow movement and the Spartans neck which was too thin.
Also what was the point of the grande ball launching from the gun.
I think Halo is a pretty cool guy. He saves StarCraft girl from the Predator Terminator and doesn't afraid of anything.

Although I agree that the main character's blue armour resembles the MJOLNIR suit worn by Master Chief in Halo, I think that the story was pretty enjoyable. I personally really like shorts that leave many questions, especially those in which a disaster/cataclysm/apocalypse has happened.
What was the ship doing so far out?
Who is the visitor?
What killed the crew?
Why did the pilot issue the command of, 'Kill any moving object'? Was there some sort of danger?
Who is the woman? What input does she have to the story?
I think we'd all like to see a second part to this.
+Maksym Bedynski the helmet is the only thing that somewhat resembles MJOLNIR, that being said MJOLNIRS helmet was actually a pretty common design when it came to sci-fi before Halo's inception

Sure wish this guy Arseniy Sichev could have done more with this. It's a great start to a story that could go in a zillion different directions.

my one critique is: MORE!!!
I recognize, Alien, Terminator, and the shorts of HALO... but is enjoyable and astonishing work. I think that have a better script and visuals than several blockbusters of Hollywood
The story line is very much Russian .... Their central character are always human not larger than life unlike all powerful and knowing Western story line...... Like the shots, never thought wide shot could tell a good story too.... Mostly done by one man!!!!! Just wow! All the best to the team.

This is great! Very inspiring, really makes me want to film something similar. To say that the story is basic it is able to stay very interesting and really made me want to continue and watch the whole thing. I personally think that a basic story is all you need sometimes, this was very entertaining to watch, great job.
Lighting, texturing and rendering is succulent! Absolutely wondrous to behold! Musta taken an eternity to render. This definitely gets thumbs up from me

One man made this, and tbh, I am impressed. I mean, sure, some things I would have done differently, but this shows premise. Imagine what he will be able to do in time with new ideas. So yeah, this is very cool stuff.

oh... catchy & thrilling... i am impressed!
The animation is superb. Such photorealism is outstanding! However, I think this short could've done with some more establishing-character shots rather than an unknown human fighting an unknown robot. I wish we got some sort of emotional response from the main character when we first saw him, like a head nodding, or struggling to adjust his suit, or whatever to make us care about him.

For what I'm guessing is little to no budget (save for maybe coffee and munchies to keep the team going) This is a world class effort. Could easily be expanded into a full length film

soooo lemme just get this straight. A spartain was *slowly* searching a hall *with* a hand held torch light, didn't immediately investigate potentiality hostile movement in favor of cutting off LOS to an entry point by gormlessly turning around and staring at an amazing lack of anything, didn't have a sufficient weapon, and topped off the parade of spartan incompetence by not being able to quickly and efficiently neutralize a robotic threat by taking out its power source, cpu, or jamming the mech's servos. They don't make 'em like they used to.

Excellent short. Yes, I saw the Halo influence, too, but so what. It was a very well made short film. I wish it went longer, of course. I personally find the criticisms rather childish. Yet, it explains the existence of film critics. Film critics are a total waste of time. These criticisms prove that. It's one thing to point out plot holes or missing information, but to attack someone for what influences they tapped from is ludicrous.
Michael Bay has made millions off an idea he had nothing to do with. Is anyone criticizing him for bilking millions of dollars off an idea he borrowed? He's a mediocre director at best. His Transformer movies are shallow excuses created for two hours of mindless action. His movies have little to no character development, yet they make hundreds of millions of dollars.
Again, excellent work on your short film.

Somewhat halo somewhat not. I can tell the difference and the likeness in both. I'd honestly enjoy watching WHAT this story could be in the future. THOUGH they would have to change the helmet ALITTLE just so they can avoid copyright shit. OTHER then that bloody fantastic. ^_^
