    This is my third Godox trigger. I have the X2, XPro II and now the X3. I had this setup with my two lights in 3 minutes and was stunned by the small footprint. I already love this trigger.

    Got it and I love it! Just getting into flash photography and this works with both my Nikon DSLR. They are brand specific so you have to order a Nikon godox.

    I’m all for that rechargeable battery and size!
    I charge my camera batteries before every shoot so there’s no hassle in this, it lasts days and saves buying more batteries 😃
    Great review 👊🏻

    Excellent. Thanks for sharing. I didn’t realise this was out. I have the XPro. I’ve recently started shooting with the Sony a6700, and the XPro looks big mounted on this, so the X3’s size looks great. I like the fact you can charge it. Always annoying having to carry around extra batteries.
    I will be purchasing this soon.

    Seems like the button and dial would be better placed on the left side of the unit since when holding the camera (with your right hand) you obviously will be adjusting things primarily with your left hand. Thus the current placement of the button/ knob is extremely inconvenient on the right side 😢

      I am ambidextrous so I didn't really notice an issue, but you'd be correct.

      Thank you so much for the kind winds! Godox does make some amazing and affordable gear. I agree it is nice to have a flash on the camera sometimes, but for most thing I usually don't. I still have the Godox trigger that does allow you to put a flash on it (Just in case) Otherwise I use the X3. Thanks for watching!

    Glad to run across your channel. Great video but I have a question, I picked up one of these beauties but when I go from TTL to Manual it seems to be off by a stop and a half. Have you had this issue?

    • @danielmartinphotography
      @danielmartinphotography  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have not. However lately most of the shoots I've done have been studio type work so I haven't had to switch from TTL to manual. I just stay in manual. I do have a model I'm photographing outside next week and I'll let you know if I have any issues. Thanks for bringing this issue up, maybe someone has had this issue and can chime in. I'll report back end of next week with my results from outside. Thanks for watching.

    I'm more concerned with replacing the battery or OLED screen if it breaks. Godox has no info. on whether that will ever be possible. Lithium-polymer cells like in this product tend to degrade rather quickly

    • @danielmartinphotography
      @danielmartinphotography  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hopefully it will last a year or two, they aren't very expensive. I guess it's a wait and see kinda thing, should be interesting.

    • @sternschnupper
      @sternschnupper 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      options for replacement are always good to have, for sure. however, a flash trigger won't draw much current, so it will be far easier on the battery than a flash, but also far easier than a laptop or smartphone. in those items the rechargable batteries work well, so i'm quite convinced this shouldn't be a problem in these triggers.

    Nice review. Probably a pass from me TBH. As a hobbyist with a AA battery trigger anyway it's an extra I don't really need, but I can appreciate small can be beautiful even in my world. I do think Godox is going great guns with a really well-thought-out and broad ecosystem.

    • @danielmartinphotography

      I agree, Godox is putting the hurt on companies like pro foto and some high end flash companies! They make great quality and have a eco system!! Thanks for watching!

      I usually charge everything at the end of the day, all camera batteries, flash batteries and anything else that charges so shouldn't be too much of a problem. Hopefully it won't be an issue. Thanks!

    Speaking of iPhone...Godox, make this connect to mobile phones through usb-c and give us a real flash trigger. We will buy flashes!
