You missed so many important details like the fact that Ice's whole team left Cleo and the makeup & hair artists to go to a steakhouse when the tour bus was stopped in the middle of the desert and there was nothing nearby to eat (they were only made aware after the fact). On top of that, Ice also had Cleo's performances set to appear before the show's actual start time so that she had less of an audience. Additionally, Ice deliberately slighted her the entire time by claiming to have her "covered" initially, but then expecting her to get her own sevices such as bag handling, food, and rooming. The disrespect was so palpable regardless of how extra Cleo came off in her videos 🤷🏾♀️

absolutely. i remember a friend of mine asked me last minute to man her stall at a con that she wouldn't be able to attend (she had another scheduled event) but had a table there. told me i didn't have to pay for the table fee and that i could even sell my stuff there as long as the i still sell her stuff that she'd hand over to me (and also not advertise myself online, bc technically what we were doing wasn't allowed so last minute but we didn't have much options). ofc i agreed since i didn't mind but i was so scared she would've asked me after to pay the table fee, or at least part of it (we're friends, but ykno, money is money and tabling at cons isn't cheap so i get it). in the end she didn't ask for anything other than her money earned and was even thankful that i agreed to help out at all. hearing that my worst fear with friend favours happened to someone in this way is scary as hell, so i feel really bad for cleo and totally get why she's upset by all of this.
I'd be PISSED and humiliated if I was treated like that. Even if it wasn't explicitly stated beforehand. If you invite me to work with you and contribute to your show, you better make sure that I get treated as the talent you're hiring me to be. If the resources are limited then it's obvious to have reasonable expectations. But to blatantly and purposefully leave me without support to do my job and keep me staying uncomfortable? If I wasn't desperate for the opportunity I would've left.

I feel like a lot of people think "just a bag" means like a single handbag or smth. Usually, the bags for a tour are multiple big suitcases full of any type of light to heavy garments or equipment needed for the show that night. Being told "everything will be taken care of" while not having any of their employees provide the same services for you, denied food, your own assistant that you had to bring last minute isnt even allowed to follow the rest of the group so how the hell do they assist ??!? I dont listen to either of them tho so just going off this and the stuff I've heard, but like yeah I'd be pissed too 💀💀

I was about to say, isn't muting people a thing? I've muted so many people on there that I used to be friends/friendly with but am no longer in touch with or interested in 😂 That feature is also why I never understand why celebs won't just mute people if they don't wanna see their posts but don't want the drama of the public speculating on their rships when they unfollow someone.
I have anxiety and certain type of posts and people "trigger" me and it's not the other person's fault that they "trigger" me, so instead of unfollowing someone who hasn't done anything wrong, I mute them until I get in a better place. as far as the bag issue, i’m kinda on cleo’s side. when you walk out in public as a celebrity, you’re gonna get photos taken of you, people are gonna talk to you and want to take photos with you- you don’t want to be carrying all your luggage when the person you’re touring with isn’t carrying anything and has people carrying her stuff for her. the way i see it is it’s less about her not feeling like carrying them and more about how she looks trailing behind ice spice carrying all her luggage while ice prances along doing her thing. it’s embarrassing. it looks like cleo’s just one of ice’s crew and not touring and performing with her.

I honestly think only people who has either seen this happen to someone or is experienced this themselves truly understand it. Had a friend who had me come visit her to her after I took care of a family member who passed away. I don't think I will ever forget back in 2023; her young fans booed off Marc Rebillet (a TH-cam musician who makes improv music like Reggie Watts) at the Listen Out music festival in Adelaide, Australia. He was set to perform before ice spice. He got called horrible things by the audience, and 15 minutes into his set, they threw stuff at him, and he had to leave the stage, leaving the audience with nothing for the rest of the hour until ice spice came out. That never happened to the other artists who performed before ice spice at the festival. Just Marc. It made me sad to see that cause he didn't deserve that. She never even told her audience off for it. The festival never apologised to him for the behaviour exhibited by her fans. He said they are young and will learn from that experience. It's proof that ever since the pandemic, concert etiquette has gone down the drain. Not ice spice's fault that it happened, but i wish she did say something when it happened.

For anyone who has ever done music, theater or any production where there are multiple moving parts, you understand that THE BAG SITUATION WAS REALLY WEIRD. Imagine you're an actor in a stage play and you interact with a pretty hefty prop. You have stage crew that typically moves the prop because (a) that's their assigned job; and (b) if an untrained actor moves the prop, it might cause an accident, miss a mark, or slow down the production. Now imagine if stage crew one day decided NOT to move the prop. They tell you you're just an ensemble actor, and that they'll move the lead actors' props but not yours. Do you see how messed up that is (not just for you, but for the general smoothness and effect of the production)? Anyone saying it's not a big deal and "she could carry it herself or feed herself"--yeah, she COULD. But it's very weird and targeted to do that repeatedly when the success of a production depends on everyone helping each other out. If someone is hungry or needs assistance, WHY NOT HELP THEM? Look I went to school with her back in middle school. We both went to st Jude catholic school it’s closed down now though. As someone who has helped run music events, it’s 1000% expected that the host of the event - whether it be a production company, manager, or artist - that the guest artists AND teams are taken care of. All hospitality, transport, after parties, communication, even renting a damn golf cart to transport if someone doesn’t want to walk or carry their belongings. A good team makes sure this happens to keep everyone happy and have an excellent, profitable event. I’m not saying the artist in this situation was responsible for all of this, but mangers should have been connected and issues should have been taken seriously.

I think the implication with the bags is that she has to carry a lot and they were probably heavy. Thinking about all the stuff an artist needs to bring for a month long performance (with no help) and then some of her personal items. A variety of outfits, hair, skincare products, hygiene products, nails, makeup, laptop and wherever to keep working on music and stuff off stage etc.) Even if it was just 3 bags that's kind of a lot, and if they were heavy that would be embarrassing that she packed thinking she would get help, but she gets there and she's struggling to move her stuff, probably looking a bit disheveled, while carrying a bunch of heavy bags. Idk she doesn't specify much about the bags but I imagine she had a lot of stuff to bring and it sucks when you're struggling and no one helps. Like if ice is her friend why not let someone get her bags even if it's not a lot of stuff? You missed so many important details like the fact that Ice's whole team left Cleo and the makeup & hair artists to go to a steakhouse when the tour bus was stopped in the middle of the desert and there was nothing nearby to eat (they were only made aware after the fact). On top of that, Ice also had Cleo's performances set to appear before the show's actual start time so that she had less of an audience. Additionally, Ice deliberately slighted her the entire time by claiming to have her "covered" initially, but then expecting her to get her own sevices such as bag handling, food, and rooming. absolutely. i remember a friend of mine asked me last minute to man her stall at a con that she wouldn't be able to attend (she had another scheduled event) but had a table there. told me i didn't have to pay for the table fee and that i could even sell my stuff there as long as the i still sell her stuff that she'd hand over to me (and also not advertise myself online, bc technically what we were doing wasn't allowed so last minute but we didn't have much options). ofc i agreed since i didn't mind but i was so scared she would've asked me after to pay the table fee, or at least part of it (we're friends, but ykno, money is money and tabling at cons isn't cheap so i get it). in the end she didn't ask for anything other than her money earned and was even thankful that i agreed to help out at all.
hearing that my worst fear with friend favours happened to someone in this way is scary as hell, so i feel really bad for cleo and totally get why she's upset by all of this.
I'd be PISSED and humiliated if I was treated like that. Even if it wasn't explicitly stated beforehand. If you invite me to work with you and contribute to your show, you better make sure that I get treated as the talent you're hiring me to be. I don't think I will ever forget back in 2023; her young fans booed off Marc Rebillet (a TH-cam musician who makes improv music like Reggie Watts) at the Listen Out music festival in Adelaide, Australia. He was set to perform before ice spice. He got called horrible things by the audience, and 15 minutes into his set, they threw stuff at him, and he had to leave the stage, leaving the audience with nothing for the rest of the hour until ice spice came out. That never happened to the other artists who performed before ice spice at the festival. Just Marc. It made me sad to see that cause he didn't deserve that. She never even told her audience off for it. The festival never apologised to him for the behaviour exhibited by her fans. He said they are young and will learn from that experience. It's proof that ever since the pandemic, concert etiquette has gone down the drain. Not ice spice's fault that it happened, but i wish she did say something when it happened.

For anyone who has ever done music, theater or any production where there are multiple moving parts, you understand that THE BAG SITUATION WAS REALLY WEIRD. Imagine you're an actor in a stage play and you interact with a pretty hefty prop. You have stage crew that typically moves the prop because (a) that's their assigned job; and (b) if an untrained actor moves the prop, it might cause an accident, miss a mark, or slow down the production. Now imagine if stage crew one day decided NOT to move the prop. They tell you you're just an ensemble actor, and that they'll move the lead actors' props but not yours. Do you see how messed up that is (not just for you, but for the general smoothness and effect of the production)?
Anyone saying it's not a big deal and "she could carry it herself or feed herself"--yeah, she COULD. But it's very weird and targeted to do that repeatedly when the success of a production depends on everyone helping each other out. If someone is hungry or needs assistance, WHY NOT HELP THEM? That is my point.

As someone who has helped run music events, it’s 1000% expected that the host of the event - whether it be a production company, manager, or artist - that the guest artists AND teams are taken care of. All hospitality, transport, after parties, communication, even renting a damn golf cart to transport if someone doesn’t want to walk or carry their belongings. A good team makes sure this happens to keep everyone happy and have an excellent, profitable event. I’m not saying the artist in this situation was responsible for all of this, but mangers should have been connected and issues should have been taken seriously.

first impressions: i like cleotrapa. the name was the hook that caught me.
i think when cleopatra heads her own tour they will be friends again not long after. personally i think Ice had too many plates spinning to worry about her friend as a friend, much less an enemy. what doesnt make sense is inviting someone on tour JUST to have a bottom-of-the-totem-pole type person. what DOES make sense is a newer artist with a very shaky grasp on the fanbase she does have, putting the tour and the stresses that come with headlining one at her top priority, then relaxation/recovery close 2nd. i cant really fault either of the two for feeling the way they do bc Cleo would rly have no idea what that's like. she's not under a fraction of the scrutiny either. they are in two different worlds rn
i feel like for a lot of artists in similar situations past, they got hit with the "you changed speech" but she said they were cool but not Like That tight. so its easy to understand someone thinking they are seeing the "real" person for the first time. its like nah, youre seeing the new "showbiz" side one has to master before they make it big for the first time. it can come off as being ungrateful because the thing a newcomer should be doing is taking notes, but again different worlds.
heard a few tracks. ice spice could never. i could easily see this as managers moving against cleotrapa and bury her so ice spice can thrive w/o competition. this wouldnt even be competition. Cleotrapa is objectively the more talented lyricist. Rockstar is so fuckin fun
This is important. Let's not minimize the maltreatment of Cleo because it seems unimportant to you. People need to know the type of artist that they're supporting.
I think the implication with the bags is that she has to carry a lot and they were probably heavy. Thinking about all the stuff an artist needs to bring for a month long performance (with no help) and then some of her personal items. A variety of outfits, hair, skincare products, hygiene products, nails, makeup, laptop and wherever to keep working on music and stuff off stage etc.) Even if it was just 3 bags that's kind of a lot, and if they were heavy that would be embarrassing that she packed thinking she would get help, but she gets there and she's struggling to move her stuff, probably looking a bit disheveled, while carrying a bunch of heavy bags. Idk she doesn't specify much about the bags but I imagine she had a lot of stuff to bring and it sucks when you're struggling and no one helps. Like if ice is her friend why not let someone get her bags even if it's not a lot of stuff?
Also I was raised with manners, if I see my friend (or even a stranger) has multiple bags and I have nothing in my hand, I'm offering my help. Even if the security guards aren't available. I'll carry at least one bag myself bc that's just a basic thing a friend would do. It's a small thing but it says a lot imo.
She could have gotten injured carrying heavy bags which could have jeopardised her performance...
That's one thing I miss about facebook: you could "unfollow" a friend if they're spammy or annoying, but still be "friends" on the platform, and they would never know.

As a girl I can tell you luggage can sound small,but we struggle with it and knowing she was on tour she obviously had so many luggage so as a friend I would totally ask my bodyguard to help out. Little things really does tells if people care for you or not. Think about it even in relationship if you see your gf struggling with luggage,but you don't help out then it shows how you feel for her. Relationship and friendship aren't that different when it comes to caring and helping out when you know they need help.

When was the last time we have seen any celebrity moving their own bags?? Not because they are too important but show business is a whole INDUSTRY. They hire people to do everything. The act wasn’t egregious. It was sus.
But at the end of the day-I just think that this was a breakdown of both management teams. They were both inexperienced because the talent on both sides should not have had to navigate the basic logistics of the tour.
Tons of celebrities much more important and much more notable than this lady carry their own luggage.

It's common sense for ANYONE-celebrity or not-that if the security guard first carried them, you'd think that they would keep carrying them throughout the tour, especially since there wasn't a valid reason as to why they couldn't and it gave vibes that Ice specifically told him not to get Cleo's bags afterwards.
@@MashaRistova if they do it is because they want to. But much more important celebrities still have staff to do it. Because management literally hires teams of people to manage the talent. And it had little to do with how important they are but how much they are controlled.

1 Day notice for a tour or a big show is actually nuts for anyone. People won’t realise this stuff takes extensive planning. You need to prepare a set list, rehearse and/or just do your best to memorise, promotion, organise travel plus accommodation etc.
She may have known she wanted to invite her but gave her little notice she she would look shabby.

@@SarahtoninSerum From the other comments I've gathered that her bag was more of a suitcase and that it was raining as well. Seeing as she's a performer it would have been a massive inconvenience to take the time to move or do any amount of labor when she was probably dressed to go on stage. It wasn't really a matter of her not being able to move it rather the inconvenience as a performer of not being allowed her own crew.

havent watched the video yet but I will say this whole cleo thing isnt very surprising considering babystorme who WAS childhood friends with icespice released texts between them where she was veryy mean. One of the biggest things i remember was storme talking about palestine only for icespice to say "they dont care about black suffering, why should i care about theirs?" Lotta people (me too😭) just didnt read them and dismissed them at first because she released these right after she had a break where she came after many artists for trivial things (like wearing the same dress colour) which kinda ruined her credibility but going back to the messages mannn

I totally get where cleo is coming from. Years ago me and some others at work were asked to temporarily fulfill coaching positions that were higher than our actual positions. At the end, we tried to get some kind of reward like a bonus, but our manager was just like Ice spice: gaslighting us that we should be grateful for the opportunity, that we were being entitled, etc. In the end we felt exploited because we worked a higher position for free.
Don't let yourself be played, know your worth and recognise when you are being used. 😮
The chicken salad vs roller coaster comparison is so meaningful because that is how rich people abuse you. Yes, the salad is cheap and the theme park is expensive, but the theme park was fun for Ice Spice too, while the salad is only a necessity for Cleo and doesn't affect Ice. If they only spend money on you when it enhances their own experiences, that is not care, it's just another present to themselves that includes self-congratulations.
8:53 I've actually noticed that more artists nowadays don't promote their opening acts. A few times I wondered if there was one at all, but someone ends up showing up. Harder to remember who they are who they aren't on the billing smh
