I hope it's not just some annoying feature like controller vibration or 3d effect. You know, that one feature that you turn off as soon as you get your hands on the console

Sounds like Nintendo is taking force feedback to a whole new level with a more immersive feedback I hope this makes it into Switch 2 at launch.

I mentioned this patent a while back and the implications it will have on gaming it’s similar to when Nintendo introduced rumble. Different terrain in Mario Kart feel different when you go off course. Carrying a heavy sword or swinging a heavy sword makes you feel the resistance on the analog stick. Also if you look at the switch 2 3d prints you’ll see that they have different analog sticks. Which leads me to believe they did make out in to the final console.

What about the 3d snalog stick patent ?! The two techs both working together a 3d stick when pressed could become a mouse wheel as you glide over menu chooses there’s a feed back

@ interesting idea. I mean technically it should be possible. It would definitely change the way we control games on the platform. Could even be used as a new way to drift in Mario Kart or parry in Zelda.

It seems to me like an alternate version of Sony's Dualsense adaptive triggers (resistance), but for joystick feedback. I like the idea of having that additional sensory input, but I think they need to at least consider ensuring a way to disable the magnetic field for those who don't like this kind of resistive control scheme.

  • @AutisticRPGer
    @AutisticRPGer 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +8

So like the triggers of the ps5 dualsense putting harder resistance depending on what you’re doing

that's haptic feedback and Nintendo had this since day one so its the first generation of haptic feedback. Dual sense is the 4th or 5th generation of the technology

I wonder how it would feel if they did implement this. I trust they'll do it right, but this is definitely very interesting...

We've gone as far as we can with visuals. It's time for a revolution in actual gameplay mechanics. Sony got the ball rolling, but it looks like Nintendo had a "hold my beer" moment and they are taking force feedback to the next level.

I feel this may be better for the new pro controller like a bonus you know? If they do this for the Switch it will take battery and probably a lot of problems with the joy cons. Like the joy con drift. Still, sounds amazing and new!🤯

@@BDLittleOldMe I’d love to see this on joycons, but am also worried that it would make the base joycons even more expensive. Making it a pro controller feature is a compromise I’m cool with.

personally, I would want a mini-screen attachable/detachable, like the vmu; for the return of steetpass, tomogatchi-like games, pedometer, extra in-game features when attached, and other quatity of life features that players can utilize when not transporting the larger, Nintendo Switch handheld system.
I hope the new controllers aren't all black like the pro controller. I prefer buttons that are of a notible different color than the rest of the controller.
having the only officai atternatives have both non-rumble and a d-pad that sucks at tetris and crotch flying in super mario world is horrible.
The current official joycons are unconfortable, and they slide out too easily when button mashing in handheld mode.
Even better if the new controller can pull of the same level control of gliding and drifting in mario kart that using a gamecube controller has. Neither the newer, modern gamecube controller clones or the pro controller is optimized for such.
while having a button press for triggers is great for fighting games, not having Analog triggers removes a level of game immersion that is absolutly needed for other games. may need some side kicks or something as many players would want their open world games not to be a bunch of often press A, sometimes B, occasionally Y, but navigate the menu for the 80%-98% of the rest of the game.

@@MikeOdyssey I respect that you are trying to get this information out there but come on man. First, you can't even say viscosity right, we are talking about a viscous fluid here, that's kinda important. Second, you don't even know enough about it you had to resort to using AI, and not just any AI but the crap Gronk AI.
If you're going to try and break this story and talk about it but you know you don't know what it means, at least reach out to some engineers and have them in your show, or at the very least talk to some other tech savvy TH-camrs like maybe digital foundry or something.
People on your feed are already talking about the switch leaking fluid like it will have oil in it or something because of this. 🤦‍♀️
