Wrong sort of bat mate, this is a fruit bat. You can tell it's fruit bat because it's super fruity and it looks like a fox. The microbats are the ones with fancy echolocation and wicked teeth. They think they're hot shit cause the have the whole batman thing going for them. The microbats also hang out with goth bats, despite their somewhat controversial diet.
What I got from this is that bats are flying dogs.

btw, I know most people actually probably can't hear their echo location, I have really hypersensitive hearing and can actually hear really high frequencies louder than lower frequencies

This is the most adorable little face. I certainly enjoyed him getting his massage. Hope he can get through his life without a person killing him for sport. I hate those sick folks who just have to kill a creature for their own degenerate sick "fun".

I believe what most people, including me, surprises is that even those "wild animals" who are actually supposed to be totally unfamiliar with "human behaviour" simply want to be loved, and be it by a human. And so they lay there, on a blanket with a binky in their mouths, getting belly rubs.. :D

I like having bats around. They eat mosquitos. And its fun watching them fly...
The little brown bats here in North America eat mosquitos by the ton, but these megabats (flying foxes) of Australia and Southeast Asia mostly eat fruit.

I owned for some years a fruit-eater bat I rescued in an animal shop where it was treated truly bad and I have been loving this cute honey all time long. Bats are surely between the best pets but above all they are essential for the balance of wildlife so discard all the horror bullshits and do whatever you do to preserve and protect them.
In most countries owning a bat as a pet is illegal. What country do you live in? Flying foxes are expected to be extinct in 20 years ☹️

They need to live in colonies with their own species, you cannot have one as a pet, this would be cruel. This baby bat is being cared for until it is able to join a colony.
We all love it's beautiful little face & eyes are so knowing but to keep one as a pet without allowing it to enjoy natural habitats & the nature it needs to be part of.
There are wonderful experienced people who care for them when they are injured or orphaned, when they are ready to be released to a safe enclosure to adjust to adapting to life outside a house then after this to be released to a safe woodland habitat. Please do not try & buy one or get one just because they are cute, they are not for companionship like our other domestic pets such as Cats Dogs, Rabbits unless they live with people who know how to care for their every need.

They're closer to humans than any other animal/mammal. The only flying mammal on the planet; been around for 50 million years too. If you Google the skeleton of a bat you'd find it's very similar to a human skeleton :)
