Niji said they blocked the vid, then said Selen's tweet "Managment blocked the vid" was "misleading" They are clearly a company comfortable with gaslighing. So much so that they tried on the entire community and was immediately called out. Sad they have so many stans to remove the note.

To be honest I think Selen has done more things for nijisanji than the company itself. And awhile ago Sayu was demonized for telling the truth and nobody believed her. Ninji is falling apart.
sayu's case w the company is diff from her "humor" and "preferences(?)" that she deliberatedly implied on streams, the latter being the main reason why ppl will not likely listen to her.
I mean I don't think everyone doubted some of her allegations about Niji with her situation, I believed most of what she talked about concerning issues with management and whatnot. The problem with her case is that she DID do a lot of things, on stream, that were obviously not allowed/not a good look for any agency (and in a short period of time) so her termination seemed pretty well justified. I will say that it is also possible/likely that whoever reviewed her past works during auditions probably didn't do a good job though, unless her inappropriate humor and comments were a new behavior after joining Niji.
You're reaching too far to cast Zaion in a bad light. She said some dumb things, but none of it was intentional or malicious. EVERY Niji member has said and done things on stream that sometimes push TOS. Zaion wasn't even anywhere NEAR as bad as Vox is for that kind of thing. You wanna talk about 'inappropriate humor and comments', you should watch some of his streams. The real issue was she was making herself out to be a 'problem' for management backstage, when THEY were the ones fucking her over. Then that last thing she said, where she carelessly made what sounded very much like a bad rape joke and instantly regretted it happened, and it was the excuse they needed to suspend her and later terminate her completely, along with an entire list of apparent 'crimes.'. I'm not gonna pretend she didn't make mistakes and some of the things she said definitely WERE pushing the envelope, but don't make out she's a terrible person because of that. Everybody says stupid shit sometimes. I mean, have you ever actually WATCHED her past streams from before she joined the company? It seems you haven't since you say you 'don't know' whether it was a new behaviour after joining Niji. Maybe don't pass judgement without all the facts, Niji's statements cannot be trusted by anyone at this point. And as Sayu, the streams I've caught of hers don't make her seem like a bad person at all. Though she is understandably bitter about the whole corpo experience. The fact that Nijisanji has lost each member of their generation is just the level of embarrassment, though I feel bad for those who got terminated, though I'm happy for them that graduated, but still, this is just outrageous.
The ones that that got terminated had it worse zaion got back stabbed by the agency and by people she thought was her friends and the nijisanji fans attack her leaking information and sending death threats and if you fellow her she kinda got ptsd from that. Selen she was bullied by management and another en member to the point she physically harmed herself or tried to commit suicide and nijisanji made her waste 15k for nothing and when she got terminated nijisanji didn't let her know. Both of them were pointed as the bad person by nijisanji.

I wonder if Kyo’s graduation was for reasons similar to this and he got out while he could, and I think Mika and Pomu too considering the miss opportunities they’ve mentioned and creative differences. I could see Ren being distinctly aware of these internal issues since Kyo is his genmate, and I think Kyo mentioned discussing his graduation in advance with both him and Aster in particular. And then witnessing this incident with Selen would solidify any concerns discussed.

Tbf, I always got the vibe that Ike was fairly close to Selen or looked up to her, so I could understand this being a blindside and needing some time. Yeah, Niji does use that as cover for suspensions, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable in this *specific* case to take him at his word.

Seeing all this reminds me of a clip I saw recently of Matara Kan, albeit pretty deep in her cups, crying to Ironmouse about how she and VShojo saved her life. I can't comprehend just how BAD things must be over in NijiEN for her to say that, and for Doki to go to the lengths she did to try and escape it. It just saddens me, and I hope any of the streamers affected by this stuff can find happiness elsewhere.
Selen - I got all the permissions (backed up with receipts on twitter). I don't know why management privated the video Niji - Selen damaged our rep when she lied that management privated the video. Oh btw we privated the video because Selen is awful and unprofessional and didn't get permission. (no proof) Selen - I was bullied so much and so hard that I attempted.... Niji - No comment except Selen is awful and damaged our company by being awful ....and ok maybe she was harassed a little bit but honestly it's her own fault. If she'd just followed the activity rules she wouldn't have been harassed. And Niji wonders why their rep is so damaged- it's not Selen's fault, it's Niji's management. Every. Single. Person. who has left Niji has said management is awful.

@@annierminx Selen's PL never said the bullying was from a fellow talent; she merely stated that it was "from within." It was Niji's statement that pinned the harassment on "affiliated livers." So either, 1. The bullying from another liver is real and Niji did jack shit about it. or 2. The bully was NOT from another liver and Niji just decided to throw a nameless talent under the bus (again) and start a witch hunt among fans for who this "bully is."

If true, that means whoever they terminate next will be under heavy suspect and will be bullied, meaning they failed to protect employees privacy. Also the fact that it took this to do anything looks super incompetent. If they don't terminate anyone, then that means they're allowing their livers to just, get away with it and look not only incompetent but malicious as well. So going by that, good chances that Nji is calling it "inter talent bullying" to divert attention to the talents and save face of a terrible management

Yeah, I’m not big on conspiracy theories, but there is *a lot* that smells beyond funky about the entire Nijisanji situation. Actually, *every* Nijisanji situation since Yugo’s “graduation.” (Just for a time reference.) The termination of Zaion LanZa. The generation of four that was cut down to three because of the fourth member trying to negotiate for a better contract. The absolutely crazy string of graduations that the 4chan leaker called months in advance. And now this. Shame it’s happened so soon. Then again, I guess this is what happens when you have your company expanding faster and further than your competitors, thus overextending itself to the point of everything behind the scenes becoming a train wreck. But beyond the yabs alone. If artists/mods/etc. never got paid by the *company themselves?* Holy crap, this could light the whole thing on fire like Woodstock ‘99. Studio Nekomata, Frel and others dropping any association with Nijisanji is just the icing on the cake. Regarding the confirmation of bullying, especially the Japanese version of the announcement, two things. One: I call bullshit on any discrepancy in the announcements, that snippet had to have been taken either out of context or the image cropped to lessen the blow to the company (lol). Two: I’m calling it right here and now that it’s quite possibly the highest earners for the company, hence why they’re protecting them from punishment. As for Ike and Rosemi taking a break from social media, I can at least relate, but I wonder if they spoke out and are being punished behind the scenes as well. People need to start pressing for answers from a lot of vtuber agencies about what the rules are behind the scenes because of shit like *this.* Transparency none from Nijisanji and quite a bit more from many of the reputable agencies, but there are still *very* important details that need to be explained if vtubing as an industry is going to *keep* agencies as a viable route at all.

Most of the times I believed her (sometime I doubted, but persistence let me see through) as she always struck me as the honest type (sometimes extremely honest), she’s kind and easygoing once you get to know her better

In before Rosemi and Ike tweeting the way they did and saying they are taking a break becomes a 'reason' for Nijisanji to stealth suspend them and write up a statement of termination saying that they made tweets that damaged the reputation of Nijisanji so they just "had" to be terminated.
Shoutout to Selens mods. Takes some real balls to step up like that. And as someone who followed her Selen persona pretty much since debut, i feel so f*cking disgusted by NijiEN. At first I couldnt even believe if what I read was real when Doki posted her Tweet. But I'm so glad that shes back! Selen is the reason that I started creating content, art and much more. Im so thankful for everything she inspired me to do.

Same, niji was my introduction to vtubers, I literally only watch niji talents. I only started watching other vtubers after some graduations and reincarnation. Niji is making it real hard for me to support other talents and it just make me so disappointed
We don't know if any of the livers were involved in the bullying, only that it came from within niji, which has a lot more internal staff than public talents. So theres no point witch-hunting livers, until we have information. And even if there were livers involved we dont know what pressure they had to deal with. Hell for all we know Niji management could have "borrowed" some of their talents accounts to DM Selen. The only clear villain we have is the company itself, so all i can say is support the talent but not the company. Dont superchat, don't buy merch that the talent gets almost nothing from the sales of anyway. And remember that Bullying isnt solved by more bullying, and I'm sure Doki doesn't want her fans to do to others what was done to her.

Gonna say what I said on False’s vid: I have so many angry thoughts about this whole thing but the most important part is that they literally just put a target on *EVERY* Nijisanji EN talent now. Whether we like it or not, people are now going to witch hunt who bullied Selen. They have literally thrown EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. To the wolves. This is just all disgusting and makes me even more angry that there might be talents who genuinely believe Nijisanji is a good company. I’m so fucking glad Selen is alright and still here with us. Nobody can stop the shitstorm other Livers will get now, too late and humans ALLWAYS going for the easy target. 2-3 days till new infos from Selen maybe. Then 1-2 weeks till you will hear from others Livers, I dont think they will stay silent about this, she was loved.
What i am starting to suspect regarding the "permissions" is that Selen did all the work and got those permissions, but the one who should have done so, her manager in this case, was supposed to be the one to do it not her, so maybe its a case of Selen going further and above to get it working while her manager slacked off. Also the fact that they only reviewed the cover song and the animation only 2 days before the scheduled launch, while the project was in the works for MONTHS, leads me to belive in this theory even more.
You are probably right considering that we know 100% that she had permission from Lily and the producer, and a part from that the rest of it is all art commissioned by her to artists so what other permissions would she realistically need?
@@andreamarques8328management, and this is not something new. management still has to give the clear before posting stuff, whether in Holo or Niji. whether it's a video, a cover, a short, or whatever, management has to clear it first afaik. my take on this is that, what Selen got in trouble for is her doing projects without full clearance, which is why she kept getting burned. and while this is a minor infraction, repeated occurrence will be considered as gross misconduct which can get people terminated (it's a law in my country). while i don't believe that Selen will ignore management, it could be possible that management is either lazy or slow, which is why she would do things herself to speed things up, and is totally relatable. then there is the timezone problem that can further add to slowing communications between them.
@@dgsalvilla its possible that there may have a ton of steps to do besides the slow burocracy and i know how some companies, specially those that deal in ESG are very paperwork heavy, i worked for a consulting company once and the amount of "compliance" i saw was tiresome. Also, sometimes it matters a lot from which "channel" the permission came from and went to.
Won’t surprise me if NijiEN will just terminate them all before then before they get a chance to not renew and graduate, because they’re being absolutely spiteful for literally no reason. If they weren’t going to help in asking perms, they could’ve just done nothing instead. At the very least just private the mv for a bit and have some re-edits of supposed “infringed (though not really)”, because they’d still take a cut of the mv anyways like a parasite. The fact that she wanted to graduate but they terminated her first with seemingly little to no warning seems like a desperate character assassination towards Selen so their JP audience won’t dig too deep, and unfortunately they seem to be buying it. Rn I’ve seen a lot of JP reciting the termination statement like gospel about “infringed” property, which is baloney as she did have the perms. Edit: I kind of hope in a morbid sense they are terminated as it’d completely invalidate management’s attempt to shift blame since it’d make it even too blatant that management is at fault and make the case more apparent for wrongful termination so they can get sued.

Also, I think almost everyone glossed over the fact that today is Vanta's Birthday and all of this drama and fire was dropped on him, likely without him even knowing.

I don't think I've actually seen merch sellers leave before either, so this is so wild for me to see. This is HUGE! With that, I welcome her indie debut and hope she does 10 times better as an indie. Seeing the chaos from not just this, but past stuff just makes me want to avoid Niji more. I had a feeling for awhile about them, but it was always an odd feeling and I thought I was just paranoid for no reason. Guess I should know better than to question my feelings, they are always right very oddly enough. Can't wait for the DokiBird stream. Oh and oddly enough, I've noticed I've gotten into vtubers who end up graduating/ leaving and eventually going indie. It's absolutely disgusting what they did to her. Saying so many lies that contradicted on what they said in their Selen Tatsuki termination announcement on their official Twitter account, saying she was never being bullied when she obviously was, and so much other nonsense. I'm so happy Doki is doing okay right now, and I wish her the best in the future! No doubt that we're probably going to see even more EN members graduate in the upcoming months, or even weeks from now, and I don't blame them. Nijisanji's JP brand might be fine (at least for now), but their English brand is 100% FINISHED! Fuck them!

She didnt have to adress the "nijisanji black company" thing yet she did in a very tone deaf response. Is nijisaji by definition a black company? No is not, but focusing on that misses or dismisses the important fact that there is a lot of negativity around nijisanjis image as an employer. She also responded to selens privaitization of her cover as what can be easily interpreted as public damage control. Does this mean she bullied selen? Not necesarily, but a lot of anger has reached a boiling point and without a target, Milie positioned herself into firing distance.

I just went on twitter and the amount of support Selen has made me cry. Im so happy to see so many people from many backgrounds come together to stand up for her. Artists, animators, songwriters, fellow vtubers, merch companies, they're all supporting her. If you want to do something against niji i recommend not buying the voice packs and merch. Luca and Millie are pretty positive people so it’s hard to say how much of it is the hard truth or their personalities. Not to say they’re liars but they make the best of a lot of things and there’s also a chance that they’re subjects to favoritism which isn’t their faults at all. At the beginning of this situation, I wondered: Why would Selen so brazenly say "feel free to reupload the last cup of coffee video" when she knew that was a direct violation of Nijisanji's guidelines that would most likely lead to a suspension? I'd never seen such an unsubtle rule break from her before, so why now? Now I know the answer. It was because she expected to be dead the next day.
I wish the best for Selen, I'm looking forward to her getting more freedom now. It's so sad she had/is still going through this, she always had such great energy.
I discovered Selen through a holo-niji collab between her and Ollie playing Apex. I dunno much about nijisanji, but with all the graduations/terminations it's definitely not looking good for them. Wasn't there a whole thing about how their company's livers were more unhinged and chaotic than other agencies? But yea, between multiple events selen put together herself being canceled last minute by management, and that whole Christmas Day fiasco with the Last Cup of Coffee, they're going to need to do a lot of damage control if they want to keep their audiences and their willingness to spend money on their products...

You probably missed one of the big controversies last year where one gen's official Anniversary merch was literally a cheap-ass white t-shirt with their debut character art silkscreened on it. Selen got me into Nijisanji. Her leaving has me kinda shaken up tbh. Especially with the post on her alt confirming what I was afraid had happened. I've had to fight that particular demon before, so I can sympathize with Selen/Doki deeply. It takes more than a little rough patch to send you in that direction -- this was some serious, prolonged psychological stress. I hope she's getting every bit of the help she needs to heal, and I hope she has more fun as Doki.
There is no defending Niji for this one. Selen deserved better. I'm so glad that her community is so wholesome when following her to her indie life I cannot support Nijisanji or the things they are doing, but I will continue to support the livers because they are not the problem.
I love the talents, but not the company/agency.. It is disgusting that they had to terminate her.. I used to like Nijisanji, but now seeing how they treat their talent, I can say it is disheartening.. and gut wrenching.. Selen is also one of the beloved Vtuber who brought everyone together to have fun. She even had fun playing with Hololive members.
As a viewer I rarely pay attention to what agency a talent belongs to or if they are independent. It is the talent I enjoy watching. These agencies need to realize that their compamy is ultimately irrelevant to fans. A Dragoon is a Dragoon not a Nijistan.

Honestly, it's hard not to perceive that it is their intention right now, to revert back as Japanese vtuber company only. They slowly phase out the EN branch by cutting the support and sustenance rather than pruning it abruptly, just like they did with other branches and then absorb whoever left in that branch to the main JP body.

To be honest I think Selen has done more things for nijisanji than the company itself. And awhile ago Sayu was demonized for telling the truth and nobody believed her. Ninji is falling apart.

The problem with her case is that she DID do a lot of things, on stream, that were obviously not allowed/not a good look for any agency (and in a short period of time) so her termination seemed pretty well justified. I will say that it is also possible/likely that whoever reviewed her past works during auditions probably didn't do a good job though, unless her inappropriate humor and comments were a new behavior after joining Niji.
You're reaching too far to cast Zaion in a bad light. She said some dumb things, but none of it was intentional or malicious. EVERY Niji member has said and done things on stream that sometimes push TOS. Zaion wasn't even anywhere NEAR as bad as Vox is for that kind of thing. You wanna talk about 'inappropriate humor and comments', you should watch some of his streams. The real issue was she was making herself out to be a 'problem' for management backstage, when THEY were the ones fucking her over. Then that last thing she said, where she carelessly made what sounded very much like a bad rape joke and instantly regretted it happened, and it was the excuse they needed to suspend her and later terminate her completely, along with an entire list of apparent 'crimes.'. So either,
1. The bullying from another liver is real and Niji did jack shit about it.
or
2. The bully was NOT from another liver and Niji just decided to throw a nameless talent under the bus (again) and start a witch hunt among fans for who this "bully is."

Yeah, I’m not big on conspiracy theories, but there is *a lot* that smells beyond funky about the entire Nijisanji situation. Actually, *every* Nijisanji situation since Yugo’s “graduation.” (Just for a time reference.) The termination of Zaion LanZa. The generation of four that was cut down to three because of the fourth member trying to negotiate for a better contract. The absolutely crazy string of graduations that the 4chan leaker called months in advance. And now this. Shame it’s happened so soon. Then again, I guess this is what happens when you have your company expanding faster and further than your competitors, thus overextending itself to the point of everything behind the scenes becoming a train wreck.
But beyond the yabs alone. If artists/mods/etc. never got paid by the *company themselves?* Holy crap, this could light the whole thing on fire like Woodstock ‘99. Studio Nekomata, Frel and others dropping any association with Nijisanji is just the icing on the cake.
Regarding the confirmation of bullying, especially the Japanese version of the announcement, two things. One: I call bullshit on any discrepancy in the announcements, that snippet had to have been taken either out of context or the image cropped to lessen the blow to the company (lol). Two: I’m calling it right here and now that it’s quite possibly the highest earners for the company, hence why they’re protecting them from punishment.
As for Ike and Rosemi taking a break from social media, I can at least relate, but I wonder if they spoke out and are being punished behind the scenes as well.
People need to start pressing for answers from a lot of vtuber agencies about what the rules are behind the scenes because of shit like *this.* Transparency none from Nijisanji and quite a bit more from many of the reputable agencies, but there are still *very* important details that need to be explained if vtubing as an industry is going to *keep* agencies as a viable route at all.

We don't know if any of the livers were involved in the bullying, only that it came from within niji, which has a lot more internal staff than public talents.
So theres no point witch-hunting livers, until we have information. And even if there were livers involved we dont know what pressure they had to deal with. Hell for all we know Niji management could have "borrowed" some of their talents accounts to DM Selen.
The only clear villain we have is the company itself, so all i can say is support the talent but not the company. Dont superchat, don't buy merch that the talent gets almost nothing from the sales of anyway.
And remember that Bullying isnt solved by more bullying, and I'm sure Doki doesn't want her fans to do to others what was done to her.

What i am starting to suspect regarding the "permissions" is that Selen did all the work and got those permissions, but the one who should have done so, her manager in this case, was supposed to be the one to do it not her, so maybe its a case of Selen going further and above to get it working while her manager slacked off. Also the fact that they only reviewed the cover song and the animation only 2 days before the scheduled launch, while the project was in the works for MONTHS, leads me to belive in this theory even more.
You are probably right considering that we know 100% that she had permission from Lily and the producer, and a part from that the rest of it is all art commissioned by her to artists so what other permissions would she realistically need?
@@andreamarques8328management, and this is not something new. management still has to give the clear before posting stuff, whether in Holo or Niji. whether it's a video, a cover, a short, or whatever, management has to clear it first afaik.
my take on this is that, what Selen got in trouble for is her doing projects without full clearance, which is why she kept getting burned. and while this is a minor infraction, repeated occurrence will be considered as gross misconduct which can get people terminated (it's a law in my country).
while i don't believe that Selen will ignore management, it could be possible that management is either lazy or slow, which is why she would do things herself to speed things up, and is totally relatable. then there is the timezone problem that can further add to slowing communications between them.

Won’t surprise me if NijiEN will just terminate them all before then before they get a chance to not renew and graduate, because they’re being absolutely spiteful for literally no reason. If they weren’t going to help in asking perms, they could’ve just done nothing instead. At the very least just private the mv for a bit and have some re-edits of supposed “infringed (though not really)”, because they’d still take a cut of the mv anyways like a parasite.
The fact that she wanted to graduate but they terminated her first with seemingly little to no warning seems like a desperate character assassination towards Selen so their JP audience won’t dig too deep, and unfortunately they seem to be buying it. Rn I’ve seen a lot of JP reciting the termination statement like gospel about “infringed” property, which is baloney as she did have the perms.
Edit: I kind of hope in a morbid sense they are terminated as it’d completely invalidate management’s attempt to shift blame since it’d make it even too blatant that management is at fault and make the case more apparent for wrongful termination so they can get sued.

i'll admit, i was in the camp of "she probably deserved it" when zaion was termed, i figured that welp, some people are just better as indies if they can't work well with a team, but now i'm firmly in the "deserved but only because it got her out of this shithole" camp. i'm not really someone who keeps up with sayu as i'm just not the biggest fan of her humor or personality but i definitely feel bad for immediately siding with a corporation over a young woman employed by them. like what the hell was i on back then that made me believe a corporation maliciously and unprofessionally dragging a woman's name through the mud instead of the woman who was completely powerless in the situation?! past me was not thinking clearly. but at the very least i can say i wasn't harassing anyone over it. i'm not that insane

It's crazy already with the information out. Then even artist, merch sellers and more coming out is also more telling. I don't think I've actually seen merch sellers leave before either, so this is so wild for me to see. This is HUGE! With that, I welcome her indie debut and hope she does 10 times better as an indie. Seeing the chaos from not just this, but past stuff just makes me want to avoid Niji more. I had a feeling for awhile about them, but it was always an odd feeling and I thought I was just paranoid for no reason. Guess I should know better than to question my feelings, they are always right very oddly enough.

Oh and oddly enough, I've noticed I've gotten into vtubers who end up graduating/ leaving and eventually going indie. I have no clue why I've started to get into them near their end...but, I'll try not think too hard on that. Best to just enjoy them at their new best.

I know I've said "I'll take any information at this point" but this was not what I had in mind. I hope the now Doki is doing ok. It's absolutely horrendous what happened to her. She has such an infectious personality, it's genuinely hard not to love what she does.
Nijisanji very deserves all this backlash, and so much more that they'll be receiving in the future! I could even handle Pomu's graduation as sad as it was to see her leave, especially so soon into the new year, and how much it greatly affected Nijisanji since she along with the other Lazulight girls, Elira, and Finana, helped launche their official English brand, but I, along with MANY other members supporting Nijisanji at the time, draw the line on what they did to Selen in the end! It's absolutely disgusting what they did to her. Saying so many lies that contradicted on what they said in their Selen Tatsuki termination announcement on their official Twitter account, saying she was never being bullied when she obviously was, and so much other nonsense. I'm so happy Doki is doing okay right now, and I wish her the best in the future! No doubt that we're probably going to see even more EN members graduate in the upcoming months, or even weeks from now, and I don't blame them. Nijisanji's JP brand might be fine (at least for now), but their English brand is 100% FINISHED! Fuck them!
I am so unbelievably disappointed in Nijisanji to a point beyond I thought possible. I am so happy that Doki is alive, I am thrilled that she is still with us in this world and that she's continuing forward on her other account 🥺💛 I hope she finds all the support and success she deserves, and I can't wait to see and see her again♡

She didnt have to adress the "nijisanji black company" thing yet she did in a very tone deaf response. Is nijisaji by definition a black company? No is not, but focusing on that misses or dismisses the important fact that there is a lot of negativity around nijisanjis image as an employer.
She also responded to selens privaitization of her cover as what can be easily interpreted as public damage control.
Does this mean she bullied selen? Not necesarily, but a lot of anger has reached a boiling point and without a target, Milie positioned herself into firing distance.
Thank God she doesn't have to deal with awful management anymore. Already subscribed to her indie channel. Once she's had time to fully recover, I know she's going to go far.

I just went on twitter and the amount of support Selen has made me cry. Im so happy to see so many people from many backgrounds come together to stand up for her. Artists, animators, songwriters, fellow vtubers, merch companies, they're all supporting her.

Luca and Millie are pretty positive people so it’s hard to say how much of it is the hard truth or their personalities. Not to say they’re liars but they make the best of a lot of things and there’s also a chance that they’re subjects to favoritism which isn’t their faults at all. They’re still in the middle of it all like the rest of EN.

We know that the musical part had permission, because lily and john (the producer) have confirmed it, then who else could put problems for the rights, the artists clearly not, they were hired to do the work and the rights will be in the terms and conditions of the contract, for me it did not make sense who did not give their permissions until we read in that part where it says "the violation also include unauthorized usage of works and assets belonging to other affiliated with ANICOLOR, disregardind the intentios of these parties" are you telling me that the permissions that were needed were from other Livers? from ANYCOLOR itself? I don't want to think that any member would have said, hey I didn't give permission to appear, but if you're a manager and you want to shit on someone's job that would be a great excuse, they would tell you I have to remove the video because you don't have everyone's permissions, what permissions? the "permissions of assets belonging to other affiliated with ANICOLOR", permissions that belong to the company you work for.If something like this happened to me I would also encourage people to publish the video everywhere, it is my own company that is not giving me the permissions I need.
This is just speculation on my part, and I wanted to say it somewhere because that part of the statement kept turning over in my head, and I hope they are just my ideas and not the truth, because if it were true the only thing that would confirm is that she was indeed being harassed by staff and in an extremely aggressive manner.

At the beginning of this situation, I wondered: Why would Selen so brazenly say "feel free to reupload the last cup of coffee video" when she knew that was a direct violation of Nijisanji's guidelines that would most likely lead to a suspension? I'd never seen such an unsubtle rule break from her before, so why now?
Now I know the answer. It was because she expected to be dead the next day.
I wish the best for Selen, I'm looking forward to her getting more freedom now. It's so sad she had/is still going through this, she always had such great energy.
I discovered Selen through a holo-niji collab between her and Ollie playing Apex. I dunno much about nijisanji, but with all the graduations/terminations it's definitely not looking good for them. Wasn't there a whole thing about how their company's livers were more unhinged and chaotic than other agencies? But yea, between multiple events selen put together herself being canceled last minute by management, and that whole Christmas Day fiasco with the Last Cup of Coffee, they're going to need to do a lot of damage control if they want to keep their audiences and their willingness to spend money on their products...
Speaking of willingness to spend money on their products, you mentioned not being into Niji much. You probably missed one of the big controversies last year where one gen's official Anniversary merch was literally a cheap-ass white t-shirt with their debut character art silkscreened on it. Not even custom art. Just the debut art.
Their whole appeal was that their talents had the skill of hololive talents but way less of the speech moderation so they could be way more unhinged, these days though there's plenty of other corps that fill that niche without being a black company

Matara even broke down during their new years celebration stream and saying how mouse saved her life and helped her.
I've seen fan artists merch sellers even other clip channels publicly say that they will not longer support Nijisanji not even just small ones like mine but but ones like VTuber's out of context they are absolutely done without community support Niji needs a wakeup call they are nothing without the greater community.
Selen got me into Nijisanji. Her leaving has me kinda shaken up tbh. Especially with the post on her alt confirming what I was afraid had happened. I've had to fight that particular demon before, so I can sympathize with Selen/Doki deeply. It takes more than a little rough patch to send you in that direction -- this was some serious, prolonged psychological stress. I hope she's getting every bit of the help she needs to heal, and I hope she has more fun as Doki.

As a viewer I rarely pay attention to what agency a talent belongs to or if they are independent. It is the talent I enjoy watching. These agencies need to realize that their compamy is ultimately irrelevant to fans. A Dragoon is a Dragoon not a Nijistan.

It also helps that Yagoo’s dream really is the idols of Hololive… the man’s been known to tear up talking about them. I’m sure he doesn’t mind his company raking in millions, of course, but the whole thing is his passion project. I can’t speak to the other guy leading Nijisanji, but his yacht and the tiny amount of merch proceeds given to the talents does enough talking I think.

Imagine not only firing one of your biggest talents, but also blaming them for pretty much everything in what should've been a simple statement of "Terminated due as the parties were unable to reach an agreement" and could've been much cleaner, or just allowing Selen to graduation on her terms. Now they literally unleashed a nuclear bomb on themselves from looking from the outside. From the responses so far it seems like not only Dokibird, but other people involved with Niji in this negative interaction would have receipts of the interactions/mismanagement they had to endure. And yea, the most sickest part of the statement is them acknowledging there was bullying within the company and just moving on from that with no actual actions that taken place to either address or prevent it.... wtf.....
