Great video Andy. Having worked in Pluckley for 4 years I can say I've experienced a few creepy things in my time. I once stayed in an old house just down the road from where you were (my bosses rental property). 3am in the morning got woken up by the front door slamming. It was a calm night, no wind and the door was locked from the inside!
Thanks Ben.. Its certainly a place with a lot to tell, a very nice village though.. Id probably have felt a bit different if I was alone in those woods haha
This comment is a bit late. But if the door was still locked when you investigated it you could have experienced something known as exploding head syndrome. I have several times,. People experience hearing a door slamming, a gunshot, an explosion or other loud sounds. Can happen right as you're falling asleep or just waking up.
I spent years camping at Pluckley every weekend throughout the summer and autumn, fishing at the old brickworks. Heard many strange noises and definitely heard the screaming. The old buildings were pretty spooky we used to walk around them at night, but there was a fire there and they were destroyed.
Just watched this and enjoyed it, even the scream at the end... Glad there are others with similar macabre interests. In fact I used to wander around cemeteries late at night and there was one moonless night when I got into a spot of bother. I had been wandering around in the dark for some time when I fell into a freshly dug grave. It was simply too dark and I was a bit careless. I am not too tall and 6' is over my head so try as I might, all my scrambling was to no avail and I finally just sat down in the corner of the grave to wait until morning. An hour later, there's a sudden commotion and it seems someone else with the same hobby had fallen into the same grave as me. I saw him scrambling at the earth trying to climb out, like I had done. And he was failing, like I had too. So after 2 minutes of this I decided to just tell him it was useless and I got up, reached out and tapped him on the shoulder and said quietly 'You can't leave this place, my friend...' I've never seen someone jump so high out of a hole before or since. ... ;-) Seriously though, thanks for your videos - they're keeping us all a little less mad during these difficult times. Best wishes from Penang, Malaysia.
I loved this!!! The video was perfect with the story telling, pumpkin carving and that fake bloody hand. The dance at the end was great. Thanks for the smiles

I camped in a field in Newhaven next to an old graveyard once because the farmer had given me permission to longnet for rabbits. We caught a few and then got into our bivvy bags for the night. About three a.m. I heard this 'tap = tap = tap' coming from the old graveyard and it was getting on my nerves, a bit like a dripping tap effect! I got out of the bivvy and looked over the graveyard wall, and saw an old man crouched in front of a gravestone with a hammer and chisel tapping away at the inscription on the gravestone! I shouted 'oi what the hell are you doing? you're getting on my tits now, it's three o'clock in the morning mate'! He just looked at me and said 'Well, they spelled me name wrong didn't they'? It always amazes me just how quickly we managed to grab our string of rabbits and get back to the car! I often wonder if that bivvy is still in that field? I told my grandson that one and he told his mates as they sat around the campfire when they were away camping with the army cadets. Apparently one of the younger lads wanted to go home and the sergeant had to calm him down and bollock the others for putting the shits up him! :-D

Pluckley isnt anywhere near as haunted as people like to believe it is. But myths seem to spring up as it was a popular haloween destination for kids when i was at school. Its a lovely little village all the same. I used to live one train stop over in ashford. Great location as it was surrounded by country and villages no matter what one train hop either side you took. Wye is another great place. If you ever decide to camp up there stop off at the tickle trout pub just next to the train station. The beer is expensive but its worth a pint for the beer garden alone
Thanks mate, yeah, ive been to wye actually, had a look around an abandoned (horticultural I think) school there a while back. Its a nice area for sure :)

One of my customers Tom i believe.(.Steve chalk.)
SteamMachine agreed 80% of it is made up
To be fair, not many places are as haunted as people would like to believe.
There are as many ghosts as there are magic smurfs until either has been proven real!
Quickly becoming my favorite outdoor channel!!!
Thanks very much :) ill do my best to keep them interesting
Nice one again Andy. We have a few old gems hidden away in the woods locally.....but I won't go down alone ...lol! Well, not in the dark anyway..!
Theres a reason I didn't do this alone! lol ;)
This was awesome Andy, watched Tom's version the other day so was good to see yours. You've got a good narrating voice mate. Thanks for sharing. Take care
Thanks Nick.. I hate my voice lol, but thats certainly good to hear.. maybe I should put a little more 'feeling' into it though :p ill do some evening acting courses haha
Great video lads... I once spent a weekend camping near Pendle Hill... another over-rated supposedly haunted location where if you look at the history it just doesn't make sense lol.
Cheers :) yeah, there a few of these that don't add up lol but all a bit of fun :p
Great job boys! That was fun!
Thanks buddy :) very interesting area, good to finally spend the night there
Amigo, well said! Peace!
I was dogging at the side of pluckly wood when i saw strange lights in the wood that looked like torches lol on the same night you were there coinsidence or what
😂😂😂
mickd6942 why the fuck do people do dogging? so weird
@@elliejoanxx2333 lol
Sorry Mick we didn't know it was you with your clothes off, have you always had that mole on yer bum? My brother went to the doctor with a mole on the end of his willy, he asked the doctor if he could do anything about it? The doctor said 'oh yes, I can do something about it alright'! He phoned the R.S.P.C.A. and reported him,! My brother is up in court next month!
Somehow Andy finds the dogging woods whilst looking for "ghosts"
Almost what I was thinking
haha, purely by 'accident' ;) It was an old trailer in the end, not a car :p
Hello there I usually watch many quality paranormal TH-cam sites,
I came across yours because I had some time and I'm interested in Pluckley it's just nice to see you guys relaxing and enjoying your cooking and enjoying nature, would you ever consider visiting more haunted or spooky places with a backdrop of history added in? 🤔 💚💜🌟

@@KentSurvival I'm thinking Tuesday night seems like a plan, it's so bad but I'm still editing... It just keeps getting shorter 😂
I love this soo much! Have you done any more camping adventures at haunted woods/locations? I would love to see more! ☺️
i lived closeish to pluckley village when i lived in kent. i liked the village.i subscribed
I keep coming back to this video 😲
The story telling at the beginning was awesome. I could listen to you all dag talking.
Do you like dags?
Quite a lovely Jack O' Lantern! Any body who was frightened would really 'lose it' crashing through that tangle of understory.
Thanks James :) Though it felt inadequate next to toms big ones lol, he's got the muscles to carry them though :)
I have been to England once, and I like your lovely accent.
I had seen another TH-camr doing a camp there and wondered if you had done one...ran across this by accident. Thanks for the info
HAppy HAlloween All - Great intro and info on the Village, looks like a lovely place to visit. That woodland is just like camp 2 overgrown and not looked after. Did you find out what the car was about Doggers maybe. Thanks for sharing Andy. Trev
cheers Trev, is a great area :) It turned out not to be a car, saw in the morning that it was a forestry trailer haha
@@KentSurvival brilliant, I love walking around int he woods at night, great perspective on the normal daytime. Can see why our ancestors got spooked
