S/M e4 theme sucks, what are you talking about.... B/W and X/Y themes are both actual dark bops, S/M theme sounds like it was composed by a thirdgrader who was just given his first CASIO piano keyboard about 5 minutes earlier...
It's interesting how each theme manages to capture the feel of being in a marathon fight of your life, while also having its own unique variations depending on region and place in the story. Unova's is probably the best example of this, especially given how the ominous Pokemon League theme before it blends in; it makes it feel like you're witnessing the opening moves of an epic battle.
tecnically, it's the elite 27 but Lorelei, Bruno, Agatha, Lance, Will, Koga and Karen didn't bring their own mixtapes so they got excluded from the party :p
@@IschmarVI Well, in that game called "Pokemon Masters". They have their own theme, like solo (Each one has their own theme) although as of now the only ones that have one are Kanto, Johto, and Unova(Which is by far the best). By the way nice mash-up :) I stumble upon it during autoplay
All these years and the Hoenn Elite Four theme is still an absolute banger. I'm getting flashbacks of my first battle against Drake, the very first time I actually suffered in a Pokémon game. In hindsight, trying to use a Sceptile against a Salamence probably wasn't the most intelligent idea, but who cares. I've always played by symbolism over common sense and I'm gonna keep doing it.
A while back when I was watching your gym leader mashup I was thinking like "This person most definitely should make a elite four mashup medley". And here we are. Excellent job on this one!
Each theme manages to capture the energy of a boss fight, but to this day in my opinion nothing captures that raid boss energy like Gen 5's E4 theme does. It feels like a fight where life and death is on the line. Alola coming in a close 2nd.

Hoenn: 9/10 Gotta love the iconic trumpets. Sinnoh: 7/10 Solid E4 music, very good but imo fails to stand out. Unova: 8/10 Holy shit this is basically a legendary Pokemon fight adapted for the E4 lol. Kalos: 10/10, this theme radiates strategy, planning and a turning point where you feel like you're starting to get an edge. Sadly you could beat every E4 before the good part kicks in, but we're rating the songs, not the games. Alola: 8/10 Solid bop, stands out as it has a darker tone. But it gets repetitive after a while.
3.35 to 5.14 is literally the best version I've ever heard of the gen 5 elite four. Can I make a request? Can you please do a completely isolated version which loops atleast twice? That would be great!!
I don't think that the original d/p/pt's legacy will die so easily. They are still great games (although a bit slow to play) even after all those years.

Elite 4s theme aren't my favs, but XY is one I vibe with. Firstly, it doesn't get as lame as the others as you keep listening to it. But also honestly it got the only enjoyable elite 4 battles because of the areas mostly. All others just feel very much like a hassle you gotta do to get to the champion and kinda repetitive (Unova gets close to Kalos but still). In Kalos the elite 4 have their own life, personality, every room feels like its own thing, they speak directly to you, make you questions and look interesting, like actual ELITE characters in the region, their dialogues are the only ones that're stuck in my mind, whereas the others for me feel more like disposable and forgettable. With the exception of Kanto because yeah, Kanto cant really be forgettable
this is on the list of medleys that I definitely want to do. However, I am currently focused on my bachelors thesis (and also took a break from .. everything, basically :D) - so we'll have to see when I find the time to make more mashups - will definitely be this year tho.
