- This is a review of the 2002 Audi TT Quattro Coupe. This Audi TT is powered by a 1.8L turbocharged 4 cylinder that produces 225 horsepower. 0-60mph is completed in 6.2 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 141mph. This is the first generation Audi TT, originally conceived as a concept at the 1995 Frankfurt Auto Show. The second generation Audi TT is currently being produced and the third generation is under development.

Excellent review! I have this exact car, right down to the color. Only thing is my wheels are different and it's been chip tuned to around 260 hp. Freaking love this car!

Just to correct the guy on here. The Audi TT did have a cloth interior as well, although most are leather but not full leather, there are a lot of half leather. Also he says all the 180hp manual are 5 speed..incorrect, i have a 180hp manual quattro and its 6 speed. Its a brilliant car, better than most cars i drive by each day on British roads and its 10 years old, in mint condition like new.
From an audi tt to a 1569 whp nissan gtr built not only to beat a bugatti but a plaid to what a G.O.A.T
You should be proud of where you have gotten yourself to here in 2020.

Starting to look at some of these. Wonder what they are like to drive. You've come a long way Stradman. You sound kind of wooden in this review but you sound so at ease in your latest videos. How long did it take to get comfortable in front of the camera? Keep up the good content. :)

Savage review! You said the difference between the 180 and 225bhp is the turbo and 5&6speed gear box, would upgrading the 180bhp turbo and remap ruin the engine?

I'm not going crazy for the typical 90's interiors I prefer the latest models. But I give credits for the good handling and engine for its time.
I have a 2006 Coupe and the interior is fantastic..better than the mark 2 Audi TT. The new Audi TT mark 3 is better but costs £30,000.

i know there are fwd tiptronic versions, but are there 8ns TTs quattro with tiptronic? Dosent matter 180 or 225 - quattro tiptronic is what im looking for :) Plus im aware of 3,2 DSG option.

Who has the highest mileage and still running well?
DaytonCarCare i have now 210k km (first model 1998) and it's still running great. I guess it just al depends on maintenance and how well the car has been taken care of.
I dont know about the highest mileage but,i have a 2006 Coupe with only 28,000 original miles in superb like new condition...a great car...
I actually prefer cars with more mileage. 10+ year old cars that have been sitting for a long time or very few miles either have that for mechanical reasons. Or if not, when purchased then used as a daily driver the gaskets begin to fail soon after from dry rot caused by not being used for so many years. Then of course any scheduled maintenance it may need further. New timing belts, serpentine belt, hoses, water pump, etc...
Hi, mine only did a few thousand miles each year from new before i bought it but, i have a full service history and 10 service stamps with receipts so i think its been well looked after. Its had recently a new cam belt & water pump, oil change and a new Bosch battery, its like new (well a 2-3 year old car) so i can't ask for more than that.
mine is the 2004 quattro, overheating problems and sensors and electronics going but easy fixes with maintenance, the computer resets are annoying though, the hazard relay just had to be replaced and it seems like a new (small) problem every few months but thats an old car for you. After 200'000kms (on any car) you can expect to have to replace and change stuff.
my kms is at 230'000 but still goes!

This is not an AWD car. It is A Quattro car meaning torque is sent to the back only when needed only.

Well, it's incorrect that the TT came in three versions. There were also some 150hp and 160-something versions, and the Quattro Sport 240hp version. Also, the diesel version has been made, though they're probably as rare as the Quattro Sport. And not all TT's came with leather interior - my Quattro Sport has leather/alcantara seats, alcantara steering wheel, and some other elements done in alcantara as well. Bucket seats also came in alcantara. Do your homework better next time. :)

im 18 and live in the uk am about to get one these, my friend as an e46 330d and to be honest i just want to fly past him and make him look silly is this capable, im looking at the 225 by the way
+Jordy Jay , yes i found a mint one, its a gun metal grey, cream nappa leather interior, s line model so it has the honey comb diffuser and so on, its got full main dealer service history, its also been remaped so its running closer to 270 bhp, the launch is insane, and at 3 thousand revs the turbo comes in and it lights up..
