This video helps define Schema with the help of simple examples in Hindi.
Schemas are building blocks of knowledge similar to Lego.
A schema is a cognitive framework or structure which helps us organize & interpret information around us. Schemas are very useful in the fast processing of a vast amounts of information around us.
Schemas keep on changing with time, whenever people encounter new information that doesn't fit into existing schemas.
Schemas were first used by British psychologist Frederic Bartlett as part of his learning theory. Later on, it was popularized by Jean Piaget for his study on childhood cognitive development.
