  • Are you looking for more information about cognitive developmental psychology or memory schemas?
Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget researched schemas and memory and suggested that we either understand such information in terms of an existing schema, or that we accommodate it by adjusting our schemas to take account of it. Schema for kids and adults is important in education because learners can build upon a new idea from existing knowledge; thereby reinforcing mental schemas to long term memory. In fact, successful learning and study depends upon schemas to lighten cognitive load.
In this video I will discuss and explore a schemas definition, offering examples of schemas and schemata in education. Using schemas provides us with an understanding of new information by relating existing characteristics to unknown beliefs, ideas or concepts. This video will also cover types of schemas within schema theory.

So that's why people reject radical ideas even if its true they can't listen.

Yeah but I think common sense also plays a role, just because something is radical doesn't mean it's true, and radical ideas are often proven false, so most people reject radical ideas as they can lead to radically bad outcomes.

I thought a schema was what politicians pull when they say they're going to pay teachers a living wage.
