Not me, but on last thursday (at our very first Cologne´s Crokinole-Tournament), one guy actually asked about whether he could switch hands or not. We weren´t too sure about it. But we´re now, thx 2 u. ;)
In fact, I prefer playing with non dominant hand but placed in a relaxed way than being awkwardly placed and all contorted to play. Easier to make shots and both hands have same capacity plus you can be more precise long term! 😊
QUESTION: unrelated…. (Ha… table slams!!) when you say “first to nine” as a tie breaker, do you mean continue to 9 from the tied score… or start a new match?
typically a race to 9 is a match in and of itself, not a continuation of a match. so here we usually play a race to 9 as our final match of the sitting.
Unrelated question. If a disk returns to play after hitting the back board then touches an opposing disk would that count toward it being a valid shot?
I tried to post this on the rules video but it didn't post, might be because I included a link with example, which I'll include in reply here. Want to confirm this was handled correctly in the video.
I saw this question a week or so ago then when I went to answer it, the post seemed to disappear. Anyway, it looks to me like they did in fact handle this correctly. once a disc leaves it is considered out. Upon reentry any damage it creates stays but the fact that it touched the opponents button after it had left and came back in does NOT make it a valid shot. They removed the other disc that belonged to the shooter because it was touch by the shot disc but there was not a valid shot achieved. I kinda feel like this will be the subject of a video in the near future :-)
@@TraceyBoards Nice, also I should say that I have my board now. In the UK, so the dark green ditch, but I do think it is what I would have chosen, or maybe I think it is the best because I have it in my hands and it is mine and it is beautiful. We are already looking at options for starting a league.
Do you ever switch hands?

Thanks for your videos Jeremy, and also thanks for your clear diction, it helps me a lot as I'm not a fluent english speaker
Happy to hear that!
Thanks, Jeremy. And I also use your tip of scooting my chair slightly to my non dominant side before a game. That comes in quite handy.
pun intended?
Nice editing. This is a really great clarification. I was wondering if I could (officially) switch to my off hand for some time. Thanks.
My left hand is super uncoordinated so I personally wouldn't do it but there is no rule against it so fire away :-)

As a drummer, you may have the upper hand ✋ 😉 😀
