Thanks for trying it, that was pretty good for a first try! Couple tips for when you got destroyed at the end:
1) You did actually have a defense. The absorption field (ABF) on the bottom left is a shield you could have activated. Default is press in on the right stick.
2) When you're being targeted, you can dodge behind an obstacle to break a lock (lost with line of sight), or just avoid them with another route altogether.
Hope that helps, nice job. (also don't forget to install upgrades, they help a lot)

I tried this game last night and it was fiiiiireeeee!!
I felt like little Anakin on the podrace
It took me a bit to get the controls right due to the ship's speed, but I expected as much. Super fast pods won't be easy to handle, and I love that.
Totally agree, game feels great, nice sense of speed! When full game is out and its has multiplayer (hopefully) it will be great fun! Glad you enjoyed the game

Red out, grip and this game could be the trifecta.
Redout 1 is my favorite future racing game ever.

It feels and works just like episode 1 racer. Bit niche though.
Yes agree, with the Niche comment. Pod Racing was quite awhile ago now but this is great fun and will be a blast in Multiplayer!

Always thought an exposed power coupling was a very unsafe idea... Seems they have fixed that in this version. 🤔

@@PranKzTa I just mean it’s basically the same kind of game. The pod racing nostalgia is powerful though. Wipeout was super fun because of the jumps, loops, and crazy speeds.
@@I_SuperHiro_I Ok my bad, yea it is same kind of game. Kryojenisist mentioned Red out also in comments, that game also looks cool, never got around to playing it so might have to also check that game out sometime.
