  • Recently I posted a video about making more of your 6"x6' pads, the link to that video is below. After making that video I had so many requests for a followup video showing how many backgrounds I'd created and the variations in the patterns that here it is.

HI Ceri! I am so glad you created this video. As a quilter I was seeing the potential for making traditional quilting patterns with the papers. And thinking that would be fun, I saw traces or hints of square patch, flying geese, log cabin etc... even just some of the log cabin variations would be fun as covers of course it would be impossible to miss the centerline with those but a nice piece of transpawashi or something would take care of that. ❤❤❤

Hi Ceri, i watch your videos on my television because of poor eyesight. Even though i watch them all I've never commented. I love all that you create. Such a talented man with many great ideas. I also have dozens of 6x6 paper pads. This is a wonderful idea. I also thought the designs reminded me of quilting . Tfs and have a wonderful weekend. 😊

I'm glad you experimented with different patterns; it gives me new ideas for laying out a master board. The 6" seam is only a problem if you are making a one-signature journal out of the 12x12 sheet. I think you can expand your cover options if you score a 1/2" spine to hold two signatures. That said, I prefer sturdier materials for covers, and would be quite content with creating a whole bunch of tags and journaling cards out of those gorgeous collages.

I love all the pattern paper and I recently thought about the price of the 6x6 paper versus the 12x12... I will only buy the 12x12 due to the extra paper versus the 1 sheet at 1/4 of a 12x12 sheet. In the long run we pay more for the 6x6 paper per sheet.
It's all about doing the math on the price of the paper/ per sheet.

I am from the netherlands, and i am pretty direct.
I am a newbie at the paper arts and crafts and love the principle of junk journaling.
What i am strugling at is what i do with the different things i make. I am not of the atc cards (swops), but i really like the repurposing of old books. Could you please help me to find my way?
