Been a while since we talked lore, truth be told I was waiting for GW to post an updated map but I rather not die of old age to make a video. Anyways some little gems here including the return of the Tong, here's hoping that if GW are mentioning them that they'll be used more than being background stuff!
The thing about the northern tribes is that they're grouped together by outsiders like Bretonnian and Imperial scholars because they have similar features, culture, worship, etc, but in reality are very different from each other. I think it's mentioned in the arcane journal.
Honestly thought that was pre-arcane journal lore too. Least feel like I'd read that on the wiki and shared in the community when Norsca was added in TW and people were discussing stuff.
I'd love to see more human civilizations explored like Ind, Araby, and even places on the contental Old World like Tilea. Renaissance Italy in Fantasy seems so painfully under utilized to me and it's just sitting right there!
It's a shame that GW isn't hyping everyone for the next year releases. Who knows why the old world map hasn't been updated but we all know Old World is on lower totem poll. It's crazy that at my local store Old World had allot more hype and excitement than the New AOS release.
Under the Dolgam tribe heraldry there is another Kislev town in Eastern steppes,in the WoC arcane journal we are told that Kislev also uses some Kurgan tribes as mercenaries...
Really feels like they have neglected old world since release. I really don't think their wave based approach was good for the game. Also wish they updated a few of the more older models just to keep people looking at Old World and what it has to offer.
They're probably laying the groundwork for future expansions. Hopefully they take the hint from the new MESBG model sales (another range of miniatures that has been largely ignored for years by GW) and figure out Warhammer Fantasy still has some juice left in it.
It looks beautiful, but also makes me sad that we wont have this world/map with Karl, Gotrek, Felix, Mathias Thulmann, Brunner and the rest of the gang. I know we still have guys like Teclis, Thorgrim, Tomb Kings, Vampires and all, but its just not the same. Still gonna get it
I don't understand some of the changes with the landmarks. The biggest one being Blood Keep being moved to Sylvania from the point between Reikland and Wissenland. That's what I've heard. Hoping it's not a thing.
@@williamwhyte9697 Darn. I must be damn blind then. Good thing it's still there. It's then a potential starting position for whatever Blood Dragon faction they decide to position there once the Vampire Counts get their CoC-style DLC. That is if they decide to make Blood Keep into a settlement and not some landmark attached to Nuln.
Man, I am SOOOOO glad I didn't invest in this. The lack of consistency, conflicting lore, absent factions, poorly supported factions and all the rest. That great map, models and all the supposed lore make it the exact opposite of Age Of Sigmar. Both are only partially instituted and makes you wonder how these games get into production.

The interactive map needs it's own webpage and needs to be updated more often.
Glad someone is finally talking about this the lack of updates is pretty pathetic it’s like they just forgot about it
In lore karak Dum should be populated if the Gotrek and Felix books are still cannon. With survivors before the 3rd books end
Karak vlag too, both supposedly fell during the great war against chaos.

@@valeclaw1697 Very likely, I think it's just the most recent mention of these tribes being loose confederations at best.

I’m dying to get my hands on a copy of the full size map when it comes out
A full world map would be amazing tbh :D
I hope they decide to move East and they work more on Cathay, Ind, Khuresh and Nippon nations
That would be great
One of the most interesting parts of the WoC map is that it contains several locations that also appear in the Chaos Realms.
things move because the chaos wastes are ever shifting and tribes are ever fighting hehe

I wish that had been the reaction at my local store. Here it was a bunch of "ToW will be dead on arrival" talk.
I’ve been occasionally asking gw on Twitter about if the map was going to be updated for dwarfs yet

Warhammer+ has only has ONE Old World battle report since February.
Thank god youtube exist.
They have hundreds of old world games (although I don’t know if it is beyond hundreds)
The one they posted to YT has like X5 the amount of views than their AOS one and still they don't push it :/

I’m looking forward to any more High elf Lore and some detail on the settlements shown on the map

Can t wait for the return of the Beastmen!
Why is the Crooked Moon so far up north now ?
My good friend any news about the new DLC?
Does anyone know where wurrzag getting moved too? I hope he’s next to teclis and flying skink boi
Yes, where that greenskin tribe is in the jungles. [Below manfredd, next to fly-boi and above yellow lizardmen]
@@rantymcrant-pants9536 thanks I wonder who’s going to take his old spot
@@IREAPCATS Guessing: Probably a minor orc faction. The new orc seems likely to be around Iron-Rock.
Lore changes: Bretonnian wuzzery
I see rhe old world as a continent and just seperate from the new world of ulthuan naggaroth lustria etc

Blood Keep been in the Gray Mountains for while now as they were also their in the WFRP4e reikland maps so it was most likely there way eailer.

Thank Sigmar.
