    Thank You! I just did a 2018 Nissan Rouge.
    In addition to your instructions I also took out the side panel near the passengers calf/knee. The panel just snaps out.
    It took me about 10 minutes to actually remove the blower. The issue was that the blower was stuck and would not rotate it clockwise.
    I kept thinking am I missing something, is there another screw? Finally I just grabbed it and turned it clockwise with all my might. (engine side rotates down), and finally I heard: CLICK! The fan rotated and then I could remove it. It was easy to force it through the rear of the glove box, just bend the plastic a little.
    The Install was very easy, 1 minute.
    Thanks again for this great tip

    Appreciate your shortcut but I have a 2014 Rogue and simply could not remove the blower motor without pulling the passenger side trim off that the glovebox mates up with. It’s not that difficult to get this apart and makes access much easier. Maybe my version of Rogue is different than later models.

      I would doubt that would be necessary being that these cars carry a cabin air filters that keep the coils relatively clean, you may have a dirty cabin filter more so than the coil.

  • @porthos6914
    @porthos6914 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    How do you know if it’s the blower motor and not the resistor? Do you just change the blower motor first in hopes that it’s that and then if that doesn’t fix the problem do the resistor?
    I’ve done these jobs multiple times but it’s been a while and I just can’t remember

    • @thediyyardie7192
      @thediyyardie7192  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Great question, The blower will usually only work on one or two of the speed settings when the resistor is going bad, not to say that it won't conk out at any time without warning, but before replacing any parts, you can unplug the power wires from the blower and use a volt meter to test for voltage coming across them with the engine running and cycling the speed control high to low, if you get a variety of voltage readings, then your issue is a faulty blower motor, but if there's no power coming from the wires no matter what speed it is placed on, then the problem is most likely the resistor.

    This video was pretty useless. There is a part of the process missing from this video. The box removal. I did this last week, 2 metal brackets are missing in this video making what he’s doing possible. Due to those brackets, the motor needs to be pulled to the right beyond them to bring it down. Which involves pulling the bottom part of the dash apart to access that area, as all the other videos show. Either he removed them without showing that part, or someone else did.

      You are right. There is definitely parts missing in the video. To begin with taking the screws out at the beginning is useless nothing comes apart by doing that. It just gives wiggle room to the dash. Once you get the glove box out there are other parts in the way. Mine is also a 2017 Rogue. This video is pointless. I don't know what's worse though, this video or the engineer that thought it was a great idea to shove the fan motor up in there where you have to pull everything off to get to it. 🤦‍♂️
