My 2019 rogue has been having a problem with the fan controls for about 6 months. I brought it to a dealership and they couldn’t replicate the issue 🙄. Now I’m seeing if I can fix the issue myself but it definitely seems a little daunting taking out the pedals. Great explanation of the design flaw. Good to know they fixed it in newer models 👍
Thank you for the great video with great explanation I have a 2019 Nissan Rogue sv and about 2 months ago I turned of my car and when I went to turn it back on the ac blow motor was on all the time and the controls would not work. Even when the ac was turned off the blow motor would still blow air at what seemed to be the highest setting. Finally found a video of someone with a similar problem and describing how to fix it very clearly. 🎉😊
2015 nissan rogue select lived in both Iowa with -30 degree and northern wisconsin near michigan! 160000 miles in and no more blower motor and resistor! Thanks for the great video!
Thank you very much for this informative video. I have a Nissan Rouge 2019 SL. It has run about 79,000KM so far in Toronto, Canada. My car blower runs at full blast immediately when electricity is turned on and does not turn off. The Nissan service center just said it's the resistor. They quoted me $810 for the repair because they said it's a pretty hard work and requires 5 to 6 hours of work on the mechanic's side. They also said the part costs $188 CAD. One thousand dollars is too much for me to get this working. The fix shown here seems beyond my technical abelites/confidence and I don't know what to do now since Winter Is Coming. :(
Thank you for this video....I just did my wife's 2018 rogue with 44242KM and yes I cursed a lot while doing it. hopefully it will be the last time I do it.
When the part fails, Nissan should have to give a new car, and crush the one you have. This part is nearly impossible to change. Lousy car. Thanks for the video
Thank you so much for this guide. I was able to change my resistor and it's working properly now. My question is does the accelerator need to be reset, mine is off from before i to of the pedal assembly?
For my 2017 Nissan pathfinder SL the blower motor resistor was under the center console inside the vent tube. It was much harder to get to, but not impossible.
Hi, what did you need to remove to access the resistor? I removed the glovebox and replaced the blower motor but now seems I need to replace the resistor - can I do it by taking out the glovebox only or does more panels etc need to come out? I have 2015 Pathfinder.
@@kingsboy48 Mine was in the rear climate control vent and that was not in the glove box but under the center console. I had to remove the whole center console.
I have had an intermittent problem with the blower. It has happened with the a.c. a few years ago just driving down the road, then has been fine. Most recently, this week in fact, it's happening with the heater. Both times with the remote starter. When I entered the car and restarted it, I had no fan at all. After fiddling with on and off and other settings, the fan began to work normally again. Could it be the resistor? I have 115,000 miles on it. Thank you!
My 2015 Nissan Rogue stops blowing air from ac vents after driving for an hour or longer. When it stops, I had to turn off the ac and then turn on and it starts working again. The turning off and on has to be continued rest of the journey, a lot of inconvenience as I had to turn it off for at least a couple of minutes. Not sure, if mine is also the same problem as yours.
I am having the EXACT same problem with my 2014. Could you pretty pretty please tell me if you fixed this issue? And was it the blower resistor as this video shows, or was something else found to be the cause? You would help me out a ton with any info, I would appreciate it so much. 🙏 Thank you! 🙏
I have replaced the blower resistor just few days ago and I haven't gone for a long journey of more than an hour. So I still do not know. I will let you know once I go and test this out on my next long journey.
@@kyermichael So now the summer has already begun, we started using the ac and the problem still exists with the new blower resistor and that tells me the problem is caused by something else. If you have found the root cause, please let me know.
I have a 2017 nissan pathfinder and I just removed my gas and break pedal and there is nothing like that up there. I have been looking under here for over an hour. Do you have any advice?
I have a 2015, my AC sounds like its blowing harder / softer when i adjust the fan but the air isnt coming out of my vents? It seems like the vents are stuck, idk maybe that is what yours did also, hard to tell.
Did you ever figure out the problem ? Having same issue with my 2015 SV sometimes it will come out the vents but alot of finessing and sometimes it just Wont
Hello, great video, i am from the uk and have two issues can you maybe help? So first thing is when the climate control is set to 16°c its blowing out warm air rather than the cool air you would expect at 16°c, when i put it down to LO it goes cold fine. Second issue is with the AC turn on and on LO setting the recirculation button keeps stopping and working again when its on ac working fine when its off it doesnt feel like the ac is on and goes warmer again. Are you able to advice if this is also the blower resistor? Please see video to second issue. th-cam.com/video/XML5yqsloWk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CzrgxW-SXsXONaIc
Please stop calling it a resistor, it's a mosfet pack. The blower motor speed is controlled using pulse width modulation. Took me 20 minutes to change including the cabin polenta filter.

Just adjust your temperature and you’ll be fine
Thank you very much! Very helpful for make video with so much detail and deferent angle of views.
Glad it was helpful!

Why couldn’t they put the resistor on the passenger side so you don’t have to remove the pedals. Nothing is easy on the Rogue.

Most likely if you live in colder climate & has that much milage.

Im facing the same exact problem as you describe. I can hear the blower works. But the air is verry low
Still under warranty under 36,000 miles. Free repair..
i have a 2015 nissan rogue sv. would the resistor and blower motor both be on the drivers side? or resistor on driver, and blower motor on passenger?
