Hi Dan, I am lying in bed due to a spine surgery and I spend my time with watching TV and TH-cam. Having thought about a new project after my recovery time I started to look at your videos. It is really great what you have done so far and I learned a lot from you. Thank you very much and continue! To bad we have very strict laws here in Switzerland and any change in the frame of a bike is not possible, or very expensive due to special tests required.... Best regards from the other side of the globe 😁
Im so glad you are enjoying the videos, Yes I totally understand how the rules can suck as in Australia we have many silly rules that stop us doing what we would like. I will be driving through Switzerland in around Aug this year for a holiday and camping as well. Where are you located?
Brilliant as usual Dan great idea pining the template ..wonder how many have tried to do without and it moves .. Rear light how about something similar to the cafe racer led as your going to put a rack on it how about building it in to the rack ..neat tidy slimline
Damn found this series a few days ago and have been tearing through it, bike looks amazing even in its partially completed form! Now to wait for the next episode!
Well thought out looks great ,unfortunately I haven't got that skill so I bought a seat ,it still looks good but doesn't mould round the bike as well as yours.tail light looks good ,it's one of the best looks for so little money .
D_ Baggington thank you mate, loads more to come. It’s not a race to get it done and it’s a lot slower to build a bike when you video everything. But I love to share the process with you. It’s catch 22 lol 😂
I sure will brother, Thank you for your kind words, Im just editing the next one at the moment, It takes about 8 hours to edit so I do it is chunks of time.
The original cafe racers were a bit of a hack to make them go fast but now days we are spoiled with what we can do :) at least you can ride yours lol I still need to finish one so I can ride it
Dan, great video and your production outputs are just phenomenal. Loved the smile into the overhead camera bit! Seat is looking nice. Not sure your camping rack will work with that taillight though. Looks like it heated way up again since we left Sydney for home back here in the states. Keep cool! 👍🏍👍
Thank you mate and yes you are right I may need to rethink the rack and light idea. I have so many things edited into each video that take so long to edit and It's nice that it's noticeable, thank you for the compliment Have a great day back in the home of USA
Maybe flasher tail light combo? You know the flashers that act as tail light not the wide led strip. I think that tail light looks a bit too big. Test how it would look with just the flashers if it looks good.
Good on ya for getting out in that heat to create the content for us! I love the way this bike is starting to look. I like that tail light a lot, but it might get in the way of the luggage rack?
There's alot of work in your films. Well done! A couple of thoughts about the rear light, opening thingy for the seat and pod filters for the 750. Rear light looks good, but it's what everyone uses. Will you use indicators? In that case, use those mini ones with rear/brake light in them. Rizoma makes them, and there are probably others too. Opening thingy...could be from a car. Opening the hood/boot handle/bracket. Often nicelooking! Podfilters....cleaning air and looking good. My experience is that you might need extensions between the filter and the carburator. But if the filter is big enough not to interfer with the reverse air jet from the carb, then it's ok. But you might find yourself in the same situation as I did with a couple of builds of my own. Sidewind! Yes, I couldn't understand why the bike suddenly began to behave like running out of fuel. It was difficult to find the pattern in these situations. When one day I put my hand down to check if the carb was loose, the problem stopped. I held my hand over the airfilter and the bike ran fine. Hand off and puf puf. I turned the bike around and tried again. Yes, same thing. We have some heavy winds here, so it might be overkill for you. But I solved it with a beercan (empty) cut in the right shape and just pushed it over the filter like a alloy condom! The recessed bottom of the can held it in place. Just opened a quarter slice. (makes sense) Nothing further needed. Looked quite sharp! :-)
Jesus Martinez Hi Jesus and thank you. 😊 I get this question a lot, the seat foam is in my amazon store it’s black not pink but it’s the same stuff. In regards to the Vinyl, I can sell you the same stuff I’m using for $30usd plus postage just shoot me an email or Instagram message. You will find my email in the description of any video. I will just need a shipping address to give you a quote on postage 👍
@@CafeRacerGarage just got the foam from a local place and ordered a "carbon fiber" vinyl marine quality that hopefully will do it for me. But next bike I'll hit u up. I'm having so much fun it probably wont be ma last.
Dude this is really coming together nicely. The arty bit at the end was a bit too much of I am being honest, would have preferred a bit more panning detail shots but that is just me. The "what's coming up" is a great feature, really great idea.
Always look forward to when your videos get uploaded. The seat shaping has turned out awesome. Are you going to continue to do the upholstery for it? If the tail light is an issue for the luggage rack, maybe mount the light underneath the mud guard? I came across and purchased a cheap “cat-eye” taillight off eBay for $10 USD. It’s oval shaped and horizontal. Tinted black with red LEDs. So when the bike is off I think the tinted light will blend in underneath the black mud guard. I haven’t plugged it in yet, so I can’t comment on the brightness off it. I’m currently working on integrating the tail light into a rear hump that I made thanks to your videos. You’ve inspired me to do a fiberglass seat pan and create a hump. I’ve never worked with fiberglass before but it’s coming out pretty damn good if I say so myself
James Webber thank you for the idea of the taillight, if you have a link to to the light please send it accross. I’m glad I’ve inspired you to build your own fibreglass hump, it’s fun stuff to work with 👍😊
Cafe Racer Garage if the link doesn’t work. You just search on amazon, “evomosa tail light” and it comes up. Link: www.amazon.com.au/evomosa-Universal-Motorcycle-Davidson-Kawasaki/dp/B07DVH7H3Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1551692656&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX118_SY170_QL70&keywords=evomosa+tail+light&dpPl=1&dpID=414PWSeBmHL&ref=plSrch Now I’m thinking if you put it under the mud guard, it’s going to be exposed to some rocks being kicked up if you’re going off-road. And with it being a cheaper option for a taillight, I’m unsure on its durability. But hey, you’re the man with solutions after all.
Thank you my friend, I am still working on the cafe racer, I have loads more videos to come. did you see the snippet at the end of this video? it's showing what om working on the cb750 next and it will be next weeks video go to my channel and select the "Videos" tab to see all the videos in order. anything in yellow is this build and most of the blue thumbnails will be the CB750 Cafe Racer build just look for the episode numbers on the images :) enjoy, any questions just ask
I've recently overhauled the tail light on my lady's Mercury. We used Purpose Built Moto combined indicator/brake lights. Gives a really nice look. Rather than have a central brake light you have them where the indicators sit. They've got a few to choose from. purposebuiltmoto.com/product-category/indicators/
You strike me like the kinda guy that likes to push the boundaries and try new things. Why not buy a 3D printer and print your own tail light in a very unique one of a kind shape. Of course once you have a 3D printer you will get all sorts of idea on how else to use it.
Can’t wait for the luggage rack!
This has been an awesome series! I bought a 78 Suzuki RM250 6 years ago and now you’ve got me wanting to dig it out of the barn. Keep it up!
Go for it mate you wont regret it when you are riding it around :)

The rear fender is siiiiick!
Stoked to see more of the scrambler budget build, keep it up man the content is amazing
Thank you so much mate Im glad you are enjoying them
Oh wow that template reminds me of the banana bicycle seats from the 70's!
It really does right! LOL :)

So the seat pan is just floating? No midsupport?
hello ! can you tell me what density the sponge you use (blue and pink)
thanks.
Hi, bike is looking great. That tail light fits perfect. Does that tale light needs resistor like the LED indicators ?? Thanks . Gus
