e Thank you for watching and the kind words, trying to show more of what Amtrak journeys can be like. Especially talking to strangers and learning about them and why they chose to travel :).
Oooo I definitely want to take it from Portland someday. I’m about to take the Canadian from Vancouver to Toronto and excited. I’m glad you enjoyed the journey ☺️
In the next year or two you will get to ride the new Amtrak Airo train sets for the cascades. Super exciting stuff. Very similar to the Brightline cars.
This much leg room is not only in business class. I took the train from LA to Santa Barbara back in 2019 and I was so excited about the space. I loved it as well as the comfy seats.
I like trains so I was planning to do this route. You did a really good job of covering every aspect. I also loved the video you did on Brightline florida. You have great attitude and joyful personality, keep it up!
Hey man it was great to meet you and chat a bit coming out of SD. Content is great and has a nice personal human touch. Your editing chop is on point too. I'm gonna ask that you get a better mic setup to improve audio volume, clarity, and consistent level. DJI makes a great LAV wireless pair that includes 2 mics on 1 receiver. You could wear one which will improve the audio when you are not talking directly at your camera and the other one you could hand off or sit somewhere when you chat the nice folks you meet. Thanks for sharing and keep it up.
Yes it rains a lot in fall and winter Davion, but that is what keeps everything clean and green. Summer we get almost guaranteed 2 months of sunny warm days. Enjoyed your video all these months later from beginning to end. Hello from White Rock, British Columbia.
Thank you for this content, very helpful on the experience on Amtrak. Me and my BF decided to take Amtrak for the very first time for our trip to Vancouver BC that’s coming up. We’re excited and just curious on what to expect on our travels😊
This was an amazing video tutorial! Thank you for being detailed and going i depth through your journey. I am interested in learning and traveling through Amtrak.
@user-eq5jz7gy7z a lot of people have never traveled solo so that’s already amazing!! At times I wish I had company and other times I use it as an excuse to meet other people and make conversation :)
I LOVE those single seats in BusinessClass, but they are such a rarity along the Northeast corridor. I’m actually plotting a trip to try and partake sometime soon.
Thanks Davion for a thorough review of the train. We're considering it for our trip. We appreciate you and your kindness to others as you move along in your travels. Have fun!!!
Nice video! I'm planning a trip to Vancouver early next year and I think I might fly into Seattle and then take the Amtrak to Vancouver. Best wishes on your journey around the world!
Whoa! I thought you might have scored a Talgo set on your journey; instead you copped Horizon Cars, although your carriage seemed to be in much better condition than others I've noticed. Hope you got better weather in Vancouver than upon arrival. Cheers from Michael downunder in Melbourne, Australia. 🙂🙂🙂
Davion, you are a ray of sunshine on a rainy day! I absolutely love your videos. Will there be any upcoming video events in Vancouver, B.C.? If so, I can not wait! Thank you for brightening my day!!❤❤📣📣😊👍
I like that you are traveling, a variety of different directions, while also, showing, within U.S. travel, Canada, then overseas....etc...I see from your profile, you reside in Big D. I am very familiar with it.
Texan here....or actually Californian living in Texas....great video. We are thinking aout traveling to Canada after visiting some fam in Seattle.....and yes take that trip with tha homies. Ha. Lol. Greeting fr Amarillo.
Fellow Texan here! Thanks for this great video! We are planning on doing this next September. I’ve been told to sit on the west side of the train for the better views. Any idea what side you were sitting on on the way to Canada with the single seats?
Hey thank you for watching. I had to fill out a form in the train, saying who I am, where I’m staying and how long. When I went through customs he asked the same questions, took my form and stamped my passport
Thanks for this video. Trying to decide if I want to fly into Canada from Seattle or take this train. I'm thinking I'll fly... the possibility of delays make me nervous as I'll be pressed for time.
Had a bad experience on this train about a week ago. Multiple delays due to trespassers on the track added up to several extra hours spent on the train. We were lucky to be sitting in the dining car, but other train cars were extremely hot and uncomfortable. Lots of angry passengers
There was a plan to increase pseeds up to 110 mph agreed with the freight company but the agreement expired or something it. Would make the trip much faster 😢
This Amtrak train was not really bumpy, fairly smooth. I would say sometimes I forgot we were even moving. I’ve been o. Other trains where it was bumpy, actually I’m on an Amtrak rn in Texas and I almost spilled my drink.
The worst thing about the Seattle station. There is no café or anything. You didn’t miss it there is no lounge there. The station is beautiful but they’re missing your food option but it is what it is.
I think they have a few food options around the station. But they really should add a couple nice food options at the stations especially considering the fact that they are planning a high speed route from Seattle to Vancouver.
I’m sorry I did not give you what you were looking for. The journey focused on showing the station, train seats, and talking to people. The views were good but nothing crazy if that helps.
You ran into so many nice people and had such good energy for such an early morning trip. I’d likely be somewhere dozed off. LOL
I really was blessed, seemed like everyone was in high spirits. :) hah. Thank you for watching and the kind words.

Seattle's station took a long time to renovate. Looks like the wait was worth it. Thanks for the views.

I’m super excited for those, they looks so good. Hopefully they are comfortable. I will try to be on one of the first rides to Vancouver with them.
Great video man, love your energy you give out to others. Editing and vid is straightforward too !

Sorry or the super late reply. But thank you for the support, planning a few more train videos.
Portland union station is also gorgeous
Yes!!!! I was briefly in it for another video I made. I was traveling from San Diego to Seattle and we stopped in it.

I'd love to see you in Canada more! You should try Amtrak's Maple Leaf (Toronto to NY) or Via Rail's The Canadian across Canada. :)

This looks like the Talgo trainset? We took the cascades last week but the Horizon cars. Somewhat comfy seats but really tired washrooms and cafe car
Sadly I didn’t get the Talgo set :(. I thought I was gonna get them. And yes I agree with you.

The only thing wrong with this train is that there is less of it.
