Tony doesn’t speak as much when they have guests. Which in a way is quite respectable in that he really wants to hear what they have to say. Great episode
James reviewed my niche car. Within a 2hr test drive he recognised all its pros/cons/quirks/features that I'd learnt over several years. He was on-point with everything he said. Still amazes me how he managed this!
Oh look, it's Mr. Martin! Have been following his channel since 2019, his passion for ANY kind of cars are so infectious. Thanks to him I found new appreciation for cheap and cheerful cars, the unsung heroes of the motoring world.
Truly a great episode. James is such an authentic person that you can feel everyone's genuine interest in listening. I always felt Tony would get along well with James, and they may after this episode behind the camera, but you can see Tony was learning about James on the spot.
Jayemm is awesome.... a brilliant fit for a more frequent appearance, if not permanent ?? Sam and Tony are great as a duo, but a third leg (so to speak) would be awesome
Fantastic seeing JayEmm on! Lovely surprise today awesome! Huge fan of Jay and his channel, oh my did I laugh when you brought up the McLaren video.... Funny enough I am one of the numbers who actually watched it off the back of one of your videos on this very podcast! How the world goes round! :) Keep it up you guys, love each and every one of you!
I'm sure his stuff is good but when I used to watch him I felt he was talking down to his viewers, it was a bit like Janet and John. Not my kind of presenter but good luck to him.
There is no one who can compare to JayEmm in terms of his car knowledge, filming ability and ability to give a fair accurate and informative comment on the cars he drives.
It's a funny thing with JayEmm's channel, if I'm in the mood to listen to someone's opinion on a car or watch some entertainment James' channel isn't my go too but if if I want to learn, understand and potentially buy a car his channel is the first place I go. It's funny he makes the comparison to 90's top gear because that what that show was all about originally and it's exactly what he does. With all the respect in the world if I was about to put my own money into a car, which I do regularly 😅, there's only maybe 3-4 places I go for an opinion yet that probably represents maybe 5% of the Automotive content I consume. I guess the biggest credit I can give James is I recently bought an ST150 based on his review. I listened to his opinion on pros and cons and felt confident enough to buy the car knowing what car I was getting and I guess praise can't get higher than spending your own cash on something based on someone else's opinion.
Having watch a lot of James' content... I was about to buy an Evora 400... this has now given me the fear. I didn't realise he had such reliability issues.
What a brilliant episode this was, I had quite forgotten about Jayemm and his TH-cam channel, I used to watch but drifted away. But good to see you all just gelling together.
Loved this! I found James' content when I bought my Exige 410 and followed ever since. I'd love to see an episode with the CS and Scud driven back to back by you both......
So JDM cars are weird, growing up with a father who had a Dodge Viper I always thought they were all lawnmowers. That all changed when I saw an NSX for the first time, I would love to own an NSX one day... however I'll always lust after a Viper more.
Omg I so agree with the idea of falling in love with the idea of a classic car. It’s the fantasy of how you want it to make you feel when your near it or in it and then when you actually have it or experience it it your like ehhhhhh disappointed. Sometimes cars are just better left, sometimes, just a fantasy. Not always but it def happens probably more than you think. Great poiht
Sounds to me like James needs an Apprentice, find the right young person, teach them to Film, Edit, drive properly and then grow your business with people you trust to do the things that allow you more time to do other things
Whoever is putting the pictures of cars up as you talk about them has put like 3 of the wrong generation of car up throughout this episode. Glad they can google at least 😂
Not watched one of your podcasts before but found it really useful, I subscribe to both of your channels and enjoy both your content, but I also look at Sam’s videos and think wow that must have taken a long time to film. Really insightful to a fellow TH-camr trying to grow an audience, but now you have me thinking, I’m not making nearly anywhere enough videos, must work harder. Great podcast
Having been a fan and channel member of jayemm for many years I offered him 2 of my cars to review and unfortunately haven't been contacted back, just one of those things I suppose
Jay Emm's McKaren video and his subsequent follow up of that video were when I really took his channel seriously. Before that, I had seen a handful of his videos and thought his channel was decent but those videos earned my subscription.
Had an Aston vantage roadster manual for over 5 years and I’ve recently gone for a GranTurismo MC, JayEmms video on it and the Italian engine has swayed me. More practical… everyone I’ve told so far I’m swapping hasn’t had the most uplifting response to the news haha they’re like why? The AM badge still holds a lot of stock with most people
Awesome to see JayEmm on the podcast. Those in this room are probably more "guilty" than most of causing me to consume TH-cam when I should be producing, lol.
Sam's Tony impression was uncanny. Tony makes all the difference for this podcast though, otherwise it would get boring quickly. I love Jay's videos on cars as well, though on occasion he gets something wrong since he admits he doesn't listen to others' views on cars beforehand, but it's good to listen to him about a car. Hadn't realised how pragmatic he is about this, but he clearly cares a lot about cars. Anyhow great video as usual, thanks guys.
17:00 Still happens today Tony. I legit watched a VRS estate on the bumper of a AMG GTs the other day on the M25, the GTS could not shake him. VRS was obviously tuned but the GTs was trying to shake him off and couldn't. Was quite funny
Great new format! This helps keep your podcast fresh and entertaining. Plz continue to look for new ways to evolve. We know that is a pile of work, with hits and misses, but well worth it for the listeners and viewers. Thx for working this hard, it’s why you are at the top.
I liked JayEmm before this interview, but hearing him talk in this scenario, not to camera he comes across as a very likeable person. He also seems to follow his instincts and buy cars I am interested in. Superb work and I hope he goes from strength to strength. Good luck 🤞 😊
Yay, glad you guys got together to do this. been watching Jay Emm since the very start of his TH-cam career, hopefully you guys can do some main channel stuff. Hopefully you three will get together soon.
I listened to this episode earlier today, and am happy to have done so. Thnaks, to all three of you for the continued efforts. Wonderful content...now, Tony...can you lend me a car next time I'm in the UK? Keep of the great work! -Love from Arizona, USA
Jayemm's passion for Supercars, bangers and everything in-between is unique. Great to watch!
@@xDAAAZEx i put his videos on when i want to fall

Love work from both BTG and Jayemm but never thought about possibility of the collaborating, this is lovely surprise!
Tony doesn’t speak as much when they have guests. Which in a way is quite respectable in that he really wants to hear what they have to say.
Great episode
STG, Tony, JayEmm. The perfect podcast doesn’t exi…..
Great trio
This is the Top Gear trio we need
I'd vote for it
100%
Better call BBC
Couldnt think of a more boring trio if i tried fml
@@iCozzh Why did you click on the video then?

Which car was it? Just out of curiosity :) would love to watch the video
@@harvinmahal It's titled "When Volvo Went ROGUE - V60 Polestar Review" 🙂
@@iandavidson99 I remember watching that review ended up going to the classifieds to see if there were any V60 Polestars for sale.

Pleased to hear James normal voice... not a fan of the 80s Clarkson stop/start style on his channel.
I like it, feels homely like my childhood
Yeah I'm the same. I had to look up if he was on fifth gear when I first heard him. @@justsomeguy1141
Would love to see a Scud and CS video with you 2. Possibly a little road trip, some coffee, some chat and lots of stunning roads.

Cracking episode, great to finally see this group together. You have to get yourself in the 550 at some point Sam 😎👍
I know times are tight but you need to find a way to grab the older clips Tony is referring to. 😂
I'm sure his stuff is good but when I used to watch him I felt he was talking down to his viewers, it was a bit like Janet and John. Not my kind of presenter but good luck to him.
Oh a guest. Less opportunity for the lads to say “literally” the whole time… 3mins in I stand corrected 😑
Maybe next time have another car dealer/youtuber Matt from @HighPeakAutos
Big love, fantastic Collab. Kindest regards, Richard U.K
I tried to get a GRMN of the GR Yaris..contacted Toyota in Japan..to be fair to them they replied saying it was JDM only..
STG and Jay Emm channels are both sensational. Completely different, but both sensational.
I love Tony and Sam, but cant stand JayEmm! Not sure why just not my guy. Still enjoyed this ep though.
There is no one who can compare to JayEmm in terms of his car knowledge, filming ability and ability to give a fair accurate and informative comment on the cars he drives.
I will disagree with his dislike for the rear end of a few cars, though 😂
farkkk yeah this is what you want! Thank you for doing this fellas
BRILLIANT! Jayemm is one of my favourite enthusiast channels and massively respect how transparent he is when reviewing cars... great to see him here!

Came to YT to say this, what a great guest! Nice to have someone extra with a lot of knowledge and who can tell a good story.
I just thought it was boring and all about cameras/ upload schedules rather than being interesting
My two favourite automative youtubers (in no particular order 😉) keep up the good work and look forward to future collabs
The biggest shock is Jayemm is only 34. Id put him at least lat 40s. Haven't seen his channel for a few years, maybe it's worth another look
Always :)
What a treat to listen to you all together, huge Jayemm fan and love the honesty & enthusiasm...more collabs please! Top drawer.
Brilliant podcast from you all. Please get Joe Achilles on the channel sat down behind the mic.
Enjoyed this. Lovely to see them both respecting (applauding) each other. And Tony behaving. Thank you.
Tony is a nice guy. Until you mention you drive something else than a prosche, bmw or ferrari 😂
Sweet episode 👍👍
Fantastic episode guys and great to see Jay Emm (big fan). would love to see him come back for a rate my ride episode. 👍🏻
Yes, James Martin, what a great guy! Of course I am also a subscriber to his channel 😃
Loved the episode 👍

Jay definitely comes from Money. Nice guy, but Jesus he screams nepo baby. No way near as much as Sam, but still very strong.

Ferrari is the only car brand that's registered instead as a luxury brand. That's why people think they're d***** it's a Loui Vuitton bag on wheels.
90mins later i'm at the end of the video......great conversation....folowed both of you since very early on so good to grow and evolve with you...
Sounds to me like James needs an Apprentice, find the right young person, teach them to Film, Edit, drive properly and then grow your business with people you trust to do the things that allow you more time to do other things
@31:32 Sam describes Jayemm as an automotive influencer 👎
He's a proper automotive journalist
Whoever is putting the pictures of cars up as you talk about them has put like 3 of the wrong generation of car up throughout this episode. Glad they can google at least 😂
Love ittttt❤❤❤❤❤
Ironically because JDM car prices have gone insanely the Japanese themselves apparently are starting to shift to the Euro scene
Great podcast. JM's natural voice is very different to his TH-cam voice.
The 695 was the coolest car you've ever had! 😍 // Mad Porsche Fan Boy
James’ appearance has revitalised my appetite for this channel
When I look at Sam with that head set, I think he has died his hair bright red. It gives me a laugh and cannot unsee it. Love the show.
JayEmm can thank Smith and Sniff for the Prelude views
Oh God. Two in one room who cannot pronounce Prel-Ude. Tony, I can let off 😂.
JayEmm speaks normally….who’d have thought that.
Who remembers McLaren making new models every 3 months? 😂
funny thing is that there is no "cinematography" in his content... and I quite like what he has to say on cars..
Big fan of james. Can you guys get matt from high peak autos aswell?
Really love James and his videos but was he serious when he said he’s 34😮😮
My 3 favorite auto youtubers together. Awesome!
The episode I never knew I needed!
Nice of you to let your guest James get a word in occasionally lads.
He’s correct about the mid roll ads. Take note! 🤓
Hell of an episode. My 2 fav youtubers. Sam and Jay.

“Literally” game is strong again from Tony in this one.
Glad to see James as a guest, he was one of the first such channels I subscribed to and I enjoy his professional approach.
Thanks Paul

OK, guys, a lot of giggling and nonsense is not a good listen.
Jayemm, so painfully southern 😬
This was enjoyable
Ladies and gentlemen.. we got him!
Wow what a collection of cars Jayemm has!
My favorite car people in a single video!

That JayM McLarens video was so real world it was epic! Best episode yet guys! Thanks
JayEmm! Brilliant! Would not have pegged you both at 33 though!
I'm just adding a comment to support this, as having James as a guest was really great. The best BTG for a while and i am not saying it in a bad way
Jay probably the best motoring journalist and so under the radar . Advise everyone to check out
Jayemm is great. He does the most comprehensive reviews on TH-cam but his videos are never boring
One of best videos JayEmm made was his Senna McLaren interview with the design team. Incredible work
That Honda prelude that James drove? Was it the 2.2 yeh? Sweet sweet car!

Yes if you 3 trio’ed up and did a Top Gear series on TV it would be smashing
You know Tony's telling the truth when he has think about saying "it's been a pleasure"
I went to listen to this on Spotify yesterday when it dropped. Couldn't wait for the YT drop. But I'm listening again.
Great video gents, straight up car chat, you all come across sincere ... no flannel, no fluff.
