Personally i think the cilindri looks gorgeously classic, especially in a dark colour with different wheels
The Ferrari 12C is not like the F8T which was a rebodied 488, its a whole new platform / chassis ( wheel base is different etc).
TONY! Buy a 765LT - proper track spec with slicks - if or when you feel comfortable driving that flat. Get a classic and walk around saying you completed track days
I remember Hammond on TG driving the Aventador in 2011(?) giving it the 'last nasp v12' etc etc. I swear every single atmospheric engine that has come out since has been the 'last of the Vxxx engines' ... they'll live forever.
But that's what all the manufacturers n industry insiders stated at the time because a lot of countries were goin with stricter emissions norms.
This and the “last manual” have been annoying narratives for a while now
It only signifies a victory for the people, not a lie by the speaker.
Not if the EU have their way
Tony needs that 765LT
Yess 😂 fantastic car
My dream car is a 765LT I don't get why everyone doesn't buy them they are op in all ways . Look great. Drive gear. Faster than anything else in reality .
Or maybe he just needs to climb out of his own arse.
@@snakewad123yeah the only thing beat it under a million is sf90, nonetheless 765lt is true gem of a car
Smith and Sniff did something similar on the officially Goodwood TH-cam channel but don’t let that stop you guys, would be a great watch.
Tony should take his car to Centre of Gravity in Warwickshire. They are the best for Porsche setup in the UK for Porsche.
Academy Workshop Unit 2,
Plot 14 Brindley Close,
Holly Lane Industrial Estate,
Atherstone, Warwickshire CV9 2GA.
1:21 in ! New record for ‘literally’. Love it.
The Goodwood idea is great but let’s not forget that’s the exact thing Smith and Sniff do.
The 12 Cilindri is a completely new car, be informed, even the chassis is 100% new!! Love this car!!
They are ignorant
Is it? It looks like the 812
@@CarsofGlasgow so lol
Stupid name makes a stupid car... Or brilliant, but no gray area can exist
@@Tjescoo english isn't your strong point is it lol
Do a track-day at Cadwell Park Tony....that will put the shivers up you! 🤪
Restomods that don't cost the earth? Get a 105 Series Alfa Romeo coupe, buy some suspension and engine upgrades from Alfaholics and get them fitted by an Alfa specialist who knows there way around these cars! Thats what I would love to do!
But thats a tuned alfa, as much as i like that! , it's not really a resto-mod isnt't it?
@@nicolasdujardin5691 I suppose there is so much you can do. If you go as far as replacing the engine to one that produces over 150bhp, then you cirtainly will have a restomod. I don't believe you need to have expensive carbon fibre body work.
@@henryhol8538i see what you say but like me, i have a 05 civic coupe (em2).
Has a fully built k20 engine in it, turbo , makes 430 hp , has custom suspension, aftermarket control arms , bushings , tie rods, driveshafts, LSD, built gearbox , carbon hood & side panels, type-r interior, etc... The whole lot...
I put in 25000€ in a 4000€ car, i consider it a tuned honda , not a restomod :)
Leave it as it was please.
@@andygtv A pure 105 series coupe is a brilliant driving car. Helped by its light weight and sharp steering!👍🏽
Another great episode, keep it up fellas 👍👍
Great to see the images on the track at PCNA and the PEC.
Tony - when you open the winders (windows) epic Tony ism
Tony is absolutely class,I’ve gone from finding him completely grate on me to finding him hilarious.
ill be at goodwood on sunday this year, my first time! i hope i can see you guys there
Thoughts on the new mandatory on new cars gps speed limiters? (In the EU) surely thats going to put a downer on sports cars and up?
Thorney motorsport, Litchfield, RE Performance, SB race engineering, V engineering . . . There’s a fair few McLaren specialists in the UK at least.
Got out of my GTS now happy about it…
Don't know why, its beautiful compared to this ugly new thing
Look forward to hear what you think of driving the new Vantage.
Would love the walk and talk podcast idea!
As a podcast episode, every once in awhile you guys should do some old school supercar spotting in London.
Hello Tony, take your GT3 to Centre Gravity it’s a bit of a ride out for you but worth it. I’m not associated with them but I’ve used several suspension tuning companies and they have my vote, plus they are Porsche specialists (never had one myself).
Tony is the best
I do confirm that for the track you need to change the setup on all the Porsche GT cars. That is why they give the adjustment possibilities. Difference is enormous. Both in the feeling of the car, confidence but also obvious handling. Laptimes can change up to 2-3 seconds. If you add up the Cup2 R you get completely different package.
I think it looks lovely but I'm sure there'll be a 'Versione Finale' for the V12 and perhaps an 'Encore' as well.
I too felt that the 12 Cilindri was the V12 equivalent of the F8 Tributo. But upon reading up on the specs, it seems to have quite different dimensions, ie all new chassis. The F8 had the same chassis as that of the 488/Pista. Also felt that it probably would be a limited production car. Not limited in numbers per se but in terms of production duration. Really was expectin a drastically different car with wicked styling n higher performance figures than that of the 812 Comp.
Totally right Sam, the New V12 Ferrari is the F8 of the V12 GTs.
What a send off to the V12 N/A!
I also thoguht it was part of the Icona series, or a one off for Eric Clapton 🤪
Now if they do a Speciale (Last of a generation) hardcore version, it may become the most sought after Ferrari ever!
Have either of you driven around Snetterton? Lovely track near me in Norfolk
Bought a 6k mile one owner 2017 570gt in January it’s bloody awesome..no problems at all..so far.
Episode ⭐⭐⭐
Tony, I’m at Silverstone Sunday 2nd June, it’s the small circuit, come down and try the RS?
The final v12 from ferrari got the retro style headlights in body style kinda liking it more I see it. Price is crazy. As land cruiser at 70k all options is about what new big suv are going for in usa .
Please if you do the Goodwood walk around do it like the train guy and get the 360 cameras!!! It would make it so easy to film and absolute comedy seeing the face shots
Yes to roving through glass! Sponsored jackets
I think you guys should wear a harness with an insta360 X3/4 and both have a mic when walking through the paddock. Would be an awesome idea
If there’s one thing I’ve taken from this episode it’s the word Canard
When is your live podcast mate...
Verstappen is not that good but has been incredibly lucky. Very quick no doubt but when other drivers get close and pressure him he tends to fall apart. Always remember the old saying 'to finish first, first you have to finish'.
Please do some sort of 2 or 3 car garage challenge. You could ask on social media for the challenge.
If you go back to earlier episodes they did a bunch of these kinda things
I think the prices increase so much because these models/model years have so many years in between them typically. And now a car that came out in 2018 is going to be a lot less than a 2024/2025 model year for obvious current economic conditions. Just my opinion.
Tony check out suspension secrets for a new set up on the Gt3 there a Uk company and that’s there bread and butter
Would like to hear Tony’s thoughts of a driving a senna on track
Whatever happened to the bet you had on the value of a Pista vs a 675LT?
992 GT3 suspension set + Cup R makes quite a difference.
As far as GT3 to GT3 RS price difference, certainly keeping the GT3 and buying a cayman clubsport makes more sense
Tony should test drive a Apline 110R. Super lightweight and easy on tires and brakes for cheap track day running costs.
For 100k sure 😂
Tony is mistaken about the Vantage and DB9 being 30 years old underneath. The Gaydon era Astons are built on the VH architecture which was designed in conjuntion with Lotus. I believe he is mistaking them with the DB7 which was built on an XJS chassis orignating in the 70s. A lot of his negative comments about Aston Martin seem to be based on misunderstanding rather than fact, Aston had already been around 3 decades when Ferrari were even thought of
Tony needs to give suspensions secrets a call they can sort the set up right.
PLLLEEAASSE DOOO ITTT!!!
Finally the true successor of the beautiful legendary 365 GTB/S/4 Daytona spider! Miami was perfect to unveil because "Miami Vice" Daytona spider 😉, but my favourite Daytona was from THE Greatest Car Movie ever made: 1976 "The Gumball Rally" 👍
This new "Daytona" is perfect Retro-Modern GT , much much better than ugly 812 !! This 12Cilindri should be called "Daytona" and not the SP3 !!
To be proper Daytona spider successor it should have proper convertible silhouette. Not targa look like 812 GTS.
Straight into VWs
Seriously looking forward to your thoughts on the new Vantage!
I think a setup would be good for Tony´s GT3. Gotta love the Porsches, driving to the track, driving the shit out of it and drive back home. And with all those track days Tony has done, there is only service every other two years!! The Ferrari 12c looks like an old american car!! 450´euro GT-car!! Where do you use this?
Tony, stiffer roll bars - job done. Or take up racing… we all get to the point track days are boring 😉 Then you find out how fast you are!
Do like a grid walk at goodwood
Please do the live coverage video
Tony, keep the GT3 for road trips and get 458 Challenge Race car (they are ~150k).
Time for Tony to get an actual track toy like an Ariel Atom or something.
Ferrari 12Cilindri spider is beautiful
Think you badly need glasses
the v8 vantage and db9 were not old cars they are based on the VH platform and was used from 2003 to 2020
always checking google for confirmation
This might be a silly question but if you only go to a track once in a blue moon with your "road car" can't you just hire a full blown Track Car for the day and that would be a much cheaper solution?
Sam trying to justify not buying a McLaren before 2022 when he drives a Ferrari from 2000BC made me chuckle.
Compared to that prodrive impreza at 225k sounds a bargin (without reading more about the changes etc)
You got it wrong the reason for both models release is to do with imminent regulations to ban big engines and banning big n.a. engines
Tony, Ask your Porsche dealer to put on slightly more camber. Since you are only using it for hard driving.
Goodwood was a complete disaster the last time I went. Queued for couple of hours to get in, couldn't move for people inside let alone see any cars and then a couple of hours in the traffic getting out. Massively oversold event which is a shame because it used to be really good.
Lightweight lightweight lightweight carbon tubs no heavy batteries & electric motors…winning combination
No engine then a fast milk float
I think Tony needs to pay a visit to Vulcan Alpha
Tony should look at getting tuition. I bet he’ll reduce his lap time more than by improving the car 😊
Eton educated you tuber, should be priminister
Yes I would get the 12 Cilindri and I’d call it “Bob” (Pronounced the way Rowan Atkinson does) 😊
Sounds like Tony would have been better off keeping his 991.2 RS
You have to get Alex Albon on the show. He is such a funny guy
How would Tony’s lap times compare with a professional driver?
992 GT3 is noisy and a pain on road trips - it’s a track biased car, great when you get to the track/Alps. My GT3 has too much body roll on the Silverstone GP circuit - it’s a road car! Come on guys make your mind up.
Tony needs a 765LT
The Alpine A110 has a 1.8L engine which is out of the Megane.
Oh yeah😂😂😂
Just get a GT3RS!
I'd call it "the 12C" - even though it has quite a strong Alfa Romeo vibe to it lol
McLaren MP4-12C is commonly known as a 12C.
@@GazMoby Also true! How did I forget about that!?
TWR thing looks like the unreleases TVR speed 12
Thorney Motorsport for used McLarens 👌
Sam! Surely the answer is staring you in the face. You need to restomod your own car at the kind of budget you’re discussing. That kind of content is likely to fly given how well Mat Armstrong is doing with his channel.
Looks like tony needs a 765lt
I will call it the C-12.
Once again people who clearly don't even understand the sport complaining about "no excitement" in F1. That sounds harsh but it's true. I mean it 100%.
One great test of whether or not you understand motorsports is if you watch F1 races with or without live timing. Or if you could enjoy an F1 race with live timing alone, with no video feed. If you watch F1 without live timing you don't even know what's going on in the race.
Tony & Sam! You both need to go to Gotlandring! It’s better than all other tracks in Europe! It even has a 30 meter jump and a BIG drop. And contrary to Nürburbring, all run offs are pretty safe. It’s 7,3km long and they’re planning to extend it by another 10km. NBR eat my dust😂😂😂
Tony can’t you take your car to suspension secrets and get a proper setup for it?
12C
Cillindri looks gopping I'm afraid, like all current Ferraris apart from ironically the 812
It's a 12C simples
My 83 year old dad is considering buying either a mitsubishi lancer evo 8(i think 8) or get a renault megane sport cup thingy and get a new conservatory. Lol wtf
Toyota is the best off road, practical and reliable car in the world
Not a French car fan they killed Alfa Romeo.
Tony just get a black series.
Sssh stop talking about Aston. I’m looking to upgrade my 2014 for a 2018 one (pre 2019 sounded like thunder) don’t want you guys driving the prices back up 🤣🤪
The 812 is absolutely more beautiful than the 12c
Body roll in a GT3😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
