  • Well that didn't go as expected...
    While doing any major upgrades to your two stroke, it always a good idea to delete or loop the oil pump and run premix.
    Next week, you will (hopefully) see this beast cruising down the road!
    As always, thanks for the support and watching my videos! I am very appreciative.

    It blew up because your cylinder at head were leaking. Do not oil the o ring on the head. Use Honda bond on cylinder gasket and on head(very important)it will always leak if you don’t . Torque head to 12 ft lbs before and when cylinder gets hot(important). Oil injection is adequate for 70cc kit

      How can u tell easily if it has the 70cc kit
      I have a 05 Yw50t i got off a guy. hAs leo vince uprgraded pipe and rollers haven't torn into it as it still runs like a champ. but would like to know more if it was converted or not. It does keep pulling past 40 a long way on gps speedo and the actually speedo. It feels quick. But the build up of speed takes a little bit till the bike is hot and begins idling on the pipe any advice?\

      @MrSpaz12 ปีที่แล้ว

      Believe it or not, that can actually make it run even leaner. Makes no sense I know, but Google it.
      Just a bit more is okay but as you add oil you have less fuel but the same amount of air. You're also adding carbon which will build up and score the cylinder. I prefer to just run a good synthetic castor at the specified ratio or when keeping the stock pump a good synthetic designed for auto mixing. It's thinner then the oil you mix yourself.
      2 strokes are so finicky but once you get em right, nothing beats em.

    What slider weight would you recommend I have a 2016 zuma 50

    • @MintWorxTv
      @MintWorxTv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Hunter!
      That’s something you have to tune for. If you buy the multivar variator it comes with rollers. I would recommend buying a kit off Scooter Tuning CA that has a variety of rollers so you can maximize the variator.
      A good way to test if you’re using the variator to its max potential is to draw a vertical sharpie line on the inside pulley surface (where the belt rides on) and then run the scooter wide open and see how much of the line is worn off. You can adjust your weight from there! If the line is still there you can put lighter rollers in.
      Hope this helps.
      Reach out with any further questions!

    You should have been fine with the stock oil pump. I ran a mallosi MHR 70 with the stock pump. Jetting was most likely the problem.
    You didn't show it but I'd be willing to bet that you can hone that cylinder and get a B or C sized piston and it'll run again just fine.
    My first MHR I didn't set the wrist pin clip correctly, it came out and the cylinder looked destroyed. I held onto it for a year and one day decided to try to fix it. Used pool acid to get the aluminum from the piston off the nickasil and a few hours with some Emory cloth smoothing out the gouge from the clip. I never tried running it myself but I sent it to my buddy in Japan and he slapped it on his scoot and it ran just fine. He ran for more than a year.
    Anyway, that was nickasil, which is nowhere near as forgiving as the cast iron cylinder you have so I'm certain that you can repair your cylinder.
    Also, tuning weights... They're your best friend. Hell, after I used them to tune my scooter the first time, I never used anything else.
    If you look for my name on 49ccscoot.com you'll see some of my builds and see that I'm not bs ing you. Even a few vids on this channel with some of my zumas.
