    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We always install new, especially on a customers scooter. But if your'e in a pinch, I guess you could reuse the old gasket. Just make sure it is not too squashed and there is no leak after installing

    • @angelaquinn8310
      @angelaquinn8310 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@urban_riders was the new gaskit a circle one (OEM) or did the exhaust use a diamond shaped one? I have a bws 100 too, which I've just started to mod. I've installed the technigas silent pro, which came with a diamond gaskit. I used the diamond gaskit it came with only, I didn't put in a round OEM one, so I guess what I'm really trying to find out is if that matters... Mine appears to be solid / no leaks....

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@angelaquinn8310 Yes we used the OEM round gasket and it works perfect. If yours is sealing then you need not worry. It doesn't really matte what one you use, as long as it seals good and does not leak. Happy Riding!

    that muffler on that hydroformed pipe is going to spit goop on itself.

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We only use full synthetic 2T oil in our builds so there is no oil build up in the pipe. Yamalube 2R and Motul 7200 are our prime choices.
      This CRP pipe has die-pressed header sections and the rest is rolled sections. This specific method does not use hydroforming although CRP did do hydroformed versions of this pipe back in the mid 90s.
      Thanks for watching.

    Is there any benefit to running an exhaust on an otherwise stock motor/drive? Will it run lean?

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely. The exhaust is a 3hp gain on a 7hp motor. Best HP gain for your $$. It is not necessary to jet, but you need to do a plug check and make carb adjustments if required. If you unsure, and want to play safe, you can fit the 76 main jet off the Aerox/Nitro 100.

    What sort of horsepower gains do you get out of doing this work

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The stock power is 7.2hp and the exhaust is +3hp on it's own, so with everything It should be sitting at 12-13hp.

    Any reason you kept the stock airbox and not upgrade to a pod style airfilter?

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The stock airbox works perfectly fine and is better for everyday use of the scooter. A pod filter would work slightly better if you were drag or track racing. But for road use, it's less complicated if you keep the stock airbox.

  • @sido9537
    @sido9537 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sorry to bother you, but a that exhaust is not going to add 3hp on a stock cilinder. (dont know if the cilinder is stock)

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sido. We've road dyno tested this exhaust and the increase was 3.1hp on the stock motor and drive, with just lighter rollers. We've been part of the development since the 90s on this. In conjunction with all the Malossi mods, we've managed 16hp already.

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leno3733 The Airsal is a few horsepower less, but not a bad kit. The Malossi tends to have better porting and better designed while the Airsal is based off of the stock with stock porting. Not sure the exact horsepower difference.

And also you should make a video testing differents weights top speed so we can check the real diference between using 7.2gr - 8gr - 9gr for example. And finally the video everyone is looking for, is how to install a tachometer in the BWS. With a tachometer you can check how high in rpm you are going to see if you want to push it further or not. Do you guys reckon with stage one I need to upgrade clutch springs?

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The clutch springs will only change the RPM that the clutch engages at. Heavier springs will allow the motor to rev up higher before engaging the clutch. So it depends on how you want the scooter to launch off the line.
      If you want a drag race pull off, go with the stronger race springs. I suggest testing your setup first and decide from there. Hope this helps you, and let us know how it worked out.

      @urban_riders  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@taylordickson4089 If you are using the 11gr rollers that came with the Multivar, combined with the Technigas, you will need to go lighter on the rollers. I suggest around 7gr. This will allow the rpm to be higher into the exhausts 'power band' and give you quicker acceleration and better topend compared to the 11gr.
