Good video and very informative on what pipes and carbs run best on these different cylinders. What I would recommend though is showing the port lay out difference and exhaust port size on these kits. And also point out that the Stage 6 race has a bridged exhaust port which looks to me that can be opened even wider making even more power from this kit if fitted with the right exhaust and a large carb. I also noticed that the Airsal exhaust port was half closed. Meaning that it wouldn't make any power in the higher rpms over stock but would definitely have more torque due to the larger displacement and also may rev up a bit quicker over stock due to the nikasil having an effect of lessened friction on the piston rings. I had a steel liner put into my NSR125 (stupid mistake) and lost 5bhp on the dyno due to the friction on the rings. But it does come with benefits of rebore and honing as you mentioned!
The Stage6 street tunes down for the low end really well. It can make power up into 12k RPM, but it also can get mountains of torque lower down in 7k/8k too. Which is what makes both usable and unusable with the stock crank. You aren't going to be using it with a stock final drive and and high RPM pipe on stock. Using it with stock/silence design pipes, and pipes like the LeoVinceTT, giannelli extra, and the china special, along with heavy weights and a long final drive- will work really well on the stock crank with it. The stage6 replica pro, is designed to go with the cylinder, and really breathes the large powerband of it (is insane, makes power between 8k and 11k), can also be geared and weighted heavy for on the stock crank. The cylinder WANTS to rev high, but will still be content running in the lower end of things.
Malossi sport or polini sport are the best, great casting and last with a 17,5 mm carb. Had both, malossi has a bit more torque, polini a bit more speed. Its up to you but put a good crank in it, stock one isn't strong enough for 70cc. Good pipes are Gianelli Shot or Yasuni R. I rode both with a Leovince SP3, lots of torque and low sound. Only just a little slower on top speed as those other 2. If you ride daily I would recommend a Leovince Touring, Malossi multivar with 5,2g rollers, malossi ventilvar and yellow malossi spring
My 15 year old son and I have recently purchased a 2006 Derbi Bullet. We're new to the scooter world and are learning as we go. We have purchased a few parts. What do you think would be our best option? I only suggest those because all are $250 can.
With your stage 6 Street kit that you're showing when you're saying you're going to be at the ragged edge or needing a crank you're talking about spending it well over 10,000 RPMs. It's not going to cause a problem at the lower end of the RPM band it's just going to be the port design is very efficient and it can permit the engine to spin up and make much more horsepower at higher RPMs

Do you have an opinion on the motoforce cylinder kits? I have an Aprillia sr50 ditech that has less then 700 miles and previous owner ran it out of injection oil.
They’re as cheap as they get I would strongly advise against using one
@@Scooterswapshop I appreciate the response. The cylinder is cast iron so it could be bored if oversize pistons are available. Tempted to go 70cc kit but these ditech seem overly complicated and I’m afraid to create a nightmare. Do you have any Aprillia experience?
@@jimccc9467 yea lots of experience with these! Check out our newer videos
@@jimccc9467 at the end of the day you get what you pay for. If you buy a $125 cylinder kit expect issues. Buy the malossi kit and you’ll have no problems
@@Scooterswapshop I see Malossi 70cc kits, some come with another ecu and some come with another cdi, which is appropriate for the 09 Piaggio? Do you folks sell the kits? Do you have a pipe preference that is appropriate for the 70 kit?
i love info,ggz
thanks did you subscribe?
if i plan on putting a bunch of miles on my 2008 zuma what is the most reliable bore kit? Palini Corsa? or Contesa? or other?
Kamron Polini and malossi are both excellent options!
Scooterswapshop thank you so much! So a real quick question, I live here in Portland so I’d be coming to you guys for work and upgrades, so I deliver for postmaster and Uber eats, I’m picking up a zuma 50cc 2008 tomorrow. Both delivery companies require a 50cc no faster, in your opinion how does the 50cc do going up Portland hills west of southwest Portland? I saw on the internet, people saying that the 125’s engine will last a lot longer plus with the ability to be able ride across state etc. why I ask is because I also have an offer to grab a zuma 125 09 for a very similar price less the 3000 miles on both. What should I do? Any advice?
I figured I’d just keep it hush on the cc increase☺️
Haha awesome! Come by sometime I can give you more options
Best kits you have for Af18 dio etc ¿

@Scooterswapshop I've been waiting since 2019 and all I care about is the alfio kit.

did you have a question on it? when did you purchase it from us?
Whats best polini evo 70ccm ac or malossi mhr ac
That’s a tough one. Both are really good. I’d say polini over malossi for street and broader power malossi for more peak
Scooterswapshop its just bc i have asked many ppl and there say malossi bc it can go more fast and make me hk

It’s a 98 model. Thanks guys/gals
Glad I could help!
hello, im from amsterdam alot of these brand's are really common to know about for me like airsal,polini,malossi,athena....how familiar are you in america with the 2 stroke brands?,, my opinion about the cylinders it's a great layout i in person will only use air cooled iron cast polini stage 6 dr,top performance cylinder kits simply because those alu race kits air cooled get to hot with road use, all these minarelli AC engine's u can easy swap to a LC build and make those cylinder kit's last 3 times longer and keep the ideal temperature range and keep the peak power and not burning the piston rings i heard u mention yasuni exhaust those are definitly top of the line :D having an r,c16 u can drive almost any kit already :)
