This is the most articulate discussion/explanation of anxiety/depression I’ve ever heard. You two expressed the emotions and feelings so well. Thank you.
I'm currently experiencing depression, and although I'm sad to hear you went through those post-weaning difficulties, it's also comforting to know that others have faced the same thing I am. I totally understand what you meant about every responsibility seeming overwhelming and feeling like things don't have a point. I'm also a Christian, but I've struggled a lot with feelings of emptiness and apathy. Hope you don't have to experience these things anymore. Thanks for sharing your story. :)
I'm so glad that you had informed healthcare professionals, and that you're getting the help you need! I have three children, but I've never heard of this before. I definitely went through it, but I just attributed it to hormones. For me, it got worse with each child. I did go to my OB when I hit my low point after weaning my third, but she just gave me birth control (which made me crazier so I quit after a few months). Looking back, I don't even recognize the woman I'd become. 😔 I really hope this information becomes more mainstream, it could help so many women!
Man you hit the nail on the head when u talked about feeling like what's the point of anything and life. I just recently went through this exact thing, not from post weaning, but it is awful. I get major anxiety and depression out of nowhere and noone in my family or anyone I know has ever had it so I feel like I'm crazy and messed up sometimes. But it made me feel better hearing u talk about it, not that I'm happy you had to go through it, but u know what I mean lol. Anyways I have been following you for a long time now and watch all of your videos so I kinda feel like I know you :) Thank you for talking about it and for always being real!
Oh I won't lie here I got really post breast feeding depression. It was aweful. But I did see a Dr and he said darl you did well you breastfed for 2 years .. she was tiny so i could get away with it. But I didn't care what people thought any way. But it feels like your missing something. I use to cry. I use to think i feel like a bad mum. But it gets better. You bond even more over different things. Your doing great. Mother hood is AMAZING but so many emotions and feelings come with it. I had four. Trust me you will get better.❤👏👏
An idea to make you fall in love with your home is to have friends over. Nothing big, or overplanned. Just have a girls night. Drink wine, watch a chick flick, eat good food. Fill your home with joy and people you love.
So so sorry Angela! Thank you for sharing all of this because I know it’s going to help people and it’s very inspiring to hear you talk about your faith in the way that that played a huge part. Matt sounds like he’s been so supportive and just the best through all of this.....Low vitamin D definitely leads to being more sad! It wouldn’t explain all of the things you went through but it should help.
Thanks for the video. I keep trying to learn more and more because I'm on a mission to help people overcome depression and stop suicide! Thanks again and I hope to see more soon. And check out my page - I think you'll like it :)
Google Dr Jolene Brighten. She's a naturopathic GYN, and has a ton of information online that could help. The information she shares has helped me so much!

I am praying for you Angela . Don't worry God is with you ❤

Is there any chance that you could have PCOS?If so you could try metformin which is actually a medication for diabetes but it helps PCOS as well
Hi! How long did it take you to feel back to normal? I’m 4 months post weaning and still not there.
I have many blog posts about my journey on my blog! www.angelalanter.com
Going through this now I’ve weaned 9 days ago. How long did it take to go away?
I took a bit. I have a couple blog posts all about it if you'd like to check it out! www.angelalanter.com. Take care of yourself, friend!
