Kudos Bill.! You're 3 times faster in your tutorials than the lame American tutorials that drag on and on...simple, concise & effective. I repaired my elderly neighbors leaking toilet and just saved her $150-200 on a service call out!
mate you get 100% thumbs up from me you just saved me a heap of money thank you brother!!!! you are a blessing i watch your video once and went a did the job it took me longer to drive to bunnings then to fix it again you are a legend
After removing the cistern to paint bathroom tiles, then reattaching. The loo ran for a week. Watched your vid and gave it a go. A small leaf was obstructing the connection causing it to run. Such a simple fix, Great video!! Cheers!
I just fixed our dunny using this video as a guide as it is the exact same cistern. Excellent stuff, good instructions on how to get the plunger system out, much appreciated.
Thanks Bill! Great demonstration on how to locate the source of the leak. I didn’t even know about the seal in the cistern. I wrongly thought the running water in the bowl could be a washer in the tap that fills the cistern. I know where to start first with my troubleshooting.
Thank you so much for you …. You are the easiest you tuber to follow and it was so easy step by step to follow… you saved me $$$ from getting a plumber..
Thank you friend we just saved $195 by diagnosing and fixing it ourselves. Who needs plumbers these days when you have great videos like this lol 😝. The cost of fix a run to Bunnings and $4.80 part.
Thanks Bill! Watched your video, nice and to the point! After pulling it out, heading to the plumbing shop to get a new seating washer, I now have fixed the damn leak myself (yay!) and saved myself a call out fee. Thank you!
I need to seal up a motorcycle tank (temporarily - and not for gas!) and I keep seeing American videos/forums refer to a 'toilet flapper' which I thought was just hilarious. Come to look up what they are and I think they're for chain flush systems which aren't so common anymore here in NZ. But I did find your video through searching that and it's awesome, I really enjoy learning these simple concepts all our fathers & grandfathers probably knew. Bonus is I recognised the Kinetic brand is available at Bunnings so I'll measure up my tank and head on in to look at the 'seating washers'. Thanks!
Amazing that this first vid i found on the topic looks to be the exact same unbranded toilet cistern that is causing problems. So next to carfully try to remove the stubborn workings to get at the rubber ring. Thanks so much for the great how to vid.
Thanks Bill. I followed your video and it worked a treat. It helped to take a note of the cistern make (mine was caroma) before heading out to get a new washer. Also, it took a few different types to settle on one that worked.
Hey Bill, how you doing bro. Mate you taught me how to fix mould in my ceiling and now you're showing me how to fix my leaking toilet. Is there nothing that you can't do, bro You're awesome mate. You're a godsend. I'm a total fan now mate. Keep up the awesome work. Thanks again from a kiwi mate.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge Bill, I just repair my leaky toilet! I will be able to sleep and will save hundreds of litres of water (and dollars) 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks for this. This saved me money for a plumber to come out and water down the drain, plus a week of waiting for someone else to do it. I was able to fix it myself, thank you.
Hi bill. I just recently found your videos and wanted to say they are awesome!! So far I have fixed my mixer tap, my leaking toilet and my grout looks brand new. I’m gunna try the car headlights one next. Love how you give clear, quick explanations - no Messi g around. Thanks heaps.
Im watching this in 2021 and your a legend for making this video as i was going to replace my whole toilet , thank you for making this vid mate your a champion
This is awesome!! So clear and concise! And telling us all the correct terminology so we dont have to ask at the hardware store for the "squiggly thingy that sits under the big thingo" 😂😂😂 Will try to see if this fixes my issue :) Next for him to change his smoke alarm battery 😜😜😜
Just what I was looking for. I'm off to Bunnings this morning to get the seal. I have three toilets with the same cistern so I am going to change them all.
If anybody wonders why it isn't working - notice that there is a raised section on the inner ring of the washer. This should be facing UP when you put the washer on, as in the ridge faces upward toward the flush buttons. Once I figured this part out it worked perfectly!
Thanks mate .. I agree with other comments… much clearer and to the point unlike the American ones that do a 15 minute preamble about how amazing they are lol 😂
This is great Bill. Thank you. But question, before I can take that part out, there’s like this floating device in the tank, would you know how to disconnect it? Thanks you.
