Ms. Aakriti Gupta, Ph.D Research Scholar at IIT Roorkee in conversation with The Science Connect.

Researcher Connect Series : Must watch video for everyone, especially all our researchers at various levels across the country. A motivation and inspiration for all youngsters who aspire for a vibrant career in research. Through this series, 'The Science Connect' endeavors to connect Indian Researchers with the masses to make their research visible to the public along with their sincere efforts and contribution in making India more empowered and self reliant.
Ms. Aakriti Gupta did her schooling from Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School,Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. Having interest in Physics and Mathematics, she chose Electrical Engineering as her career. She did her Masters in Power Electronics from Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar.
Currently, she is pursuing Ph.D at Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT) Roorkee, working on a hydel project sponsored by Tehri Hydropower India Limited to improve power system performance. She intend to work on wind and solar power integration with National Grid. She strongly believe that carbon pollution and its impact to cause climate change is an alarming issue this generation has to tackle and must work towards developing greener and environmental friendly technologies and become a responsible citizen. She also worked as an Intern at IIT Roorkee, in the office of Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to Government of India for facilitating Industry-Academia partnerships for social and industrial development.
