Not for nothing, but the Celestial Storm theme deck "Hydro Fury" is literally a modern interpretation of this deck. It has the Swampert with Hydro pump with power draw ability (the same thing Delcatty has here) and Delcatty it self is in the deck with the same ability as the Magneton. the Abomasnow in the deck knows "hypno Hammer" which is the same as the other Swamperts attack. And to top it all off, the EXACT same Dunsparce is reprinted in the deck, art work and all. Pretty neat little easter egg by the Pokémon company.
The gameplay is always fun, but I really love the deck profile sections of these videos where you cover the basic strategy. Makes it a lot easier for newer players like me to follow the action in these older formats!
Man seeing 2-4 evolution lines in a single deck seems so alien to me and the current format.
We really need a new TCG video game. Imagine a new side series of Pokemon video games, like the old Game Boy title, and based on old formats. They could release games based on each generation and moving forward only release new entries after current era formats end. Pokemon doesn't continue to print sets that are out of rotation. So they would not be competing with themselves. And it would let younger/newer players experience old formats without having to spend hundreds of dollars trying to build collections of older cards.
I love watching the paper card gameplay as a big mtg fan. If ya can do some more videos using old standard decks and playing like this! The overall format is really good with the overview and then the gameplay!
Love the old school table top videos! Takes me back to my days. Played from 2000-2012, but I still like seeing what's going on with the game today.

Played Swampert at 2004 Worlds made T32, Japanese dominated with Team Magma which was unplayed over here.

This is awesome. I really loved my delcatty card and team magmas cards like camerupt as a kid but never made use of them properly, so its nice to see them in action. I recognize so many of these cards from my childhood :) I remember buying the world champion decks that had the cards with the world championship backs and immediately swapping out the dunsparces because I thought it was terrible lol. Kids are dumb. But its reallycool to see my childhood cards used properly after all these years :)

チームマグマデッキを使った対戦を見れて嬉しくなりました。ただし、チームマグマはもっとエネルギーを残し続ける動きが良いでしょう。たとえば、動画ではダメージをうけていないグラードンで攻撃するするターンにマグマエネをつけて50ダメージを与えていましたが、悪エネルギーを付けて30ダメージを与えるべきです。次のターンに、攻撃されたら気絶してしまう状況でネンドールの能力で一枚エネルギーをベンチに動かしたうえで、バトル場のグラードンにマグマエネルギーを付けて攻撃すると効率的です。30＋80＋砂漠の遺跡で、次のグラードンの20ダメージ圏内でexを倒せると思います。

im not bothered by powercreep but i am bothered by them making more big basics and less evolution focus, as well as making less strategy and long term thinking and more blowing stuff up(im thinking zacians and baby blowns)

If pokemon were to make the next generation sets just like this, much lower HP and damage, I feel the game would be so much better than it is right now. The game is just not in a good spot right now

ive noticed that a lot of RS-PK era decks use 5 of a stage two (for example, 2 swampert ex and then 3 of the regular swampert), why is that? considering u can only use 4 mudkip, wouldn't a 2-2 split be better?
You typically need 2-3 swampert every game and 1-2 swampert ex, since you want 2 swampert in play at all times, you want to run 3 incase you prize one. You could run just one swampert ex, but again it would be risky if you prized it. It’s also good to run high counts in this format for early visibility. With a lack of a good search item like ultra ball, you just want to be able to draw into the card naturally.
