My 02 GT with Trick Flow heads and a 2.1 inercooled KB put down 410 rwhp and 408 rwtq, only 8 psi.. I am very pleased with 3.90 gears w/ this set up. It pulls all the through 5 gear and cruises 75 mph at 1800 rpm. Of course a smaller pulley 14 to 15 psi and longtubes are coming. Cant wait..

Hey man awesome build I’m doing the same exact kit with on my 01 gt it’s automatic as well 9lb boost! But I’ve done the Eibach pro suspension kit with bilstein shocks and struts! I got 315/35 rear nitto nt555 tires so I believe that should help with traction! But the shop that’s installing my kb said I don’t need the boost and Air/fuel band ratio gauges right away, would you agree?
You don't need them, per se, but it's always good to know your AFR if you know how to read them. Seeing the boost on a boost gauge is also pretty cool and good to see.

This is an awesome build guys, with so much torque on tap from the Kenne Bell blower, do you think the 3.27 gears would be best instead of 3.73 gears? Do you think that the owner would have problems with traction if he upgrades to the 3.73 gears, because I would love to do the same setup to my 2006 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and I also have 3.27 gears.
The car needs some suspension, but mainly a good tire with how much power it makes. A good tire, suspension, and 3.73 gears will make for a better combination for traction than his current setup with the 3.27s. We told him he shouldn't do gears without a tire, cuz as you said, traction will be even more of an issue.
@@SavageProductionsCars okay that's some great information, so with a 3.73 gear what size tire would you guys recommend far as width and height?
@@krownvikkhris3004 I'd do some research about your specific car, but generally speaking, a 275 radial on a 15" wheel is the go-to. I think some guys run a 305/45 R18 on theirs.

Would 4.10 gears be to much for this setup?
Not at the safer boost levels here, no

@Garsnow this is horse shit. I run 4.10 on a 740/730 rwhp/rwtq 07 gt500 with a 2650 tvs. I will admit I have trouble getting 100% traction in 2nd with 325 et street r 15s and I may go taller on gears but I'm going to built suspension first see if that helps. At a low boost 2v power level 4.10 will be fine the 4.10 worked awesome with drag radials on the stock blower it was bolt ons had 550 rwhp. Gt500 is heavier but also had good bit more power than a low boost 2v. A stock motor 2v be fine with 4.10 just gonna need drag radials. And yes I mean with boost.

How long will it last . Better prepped that bottom end . If not it will go boom in time
It's on low boost and should survive a very long time.
