Mexican Red Rice/Spanish Rice

  • Hi Amiga/os! Im going to show you in this video how I make my red rice. Super easy & delicious!
    Ingredients:
    1 1/2 Cups washed long grain white rice
    2 Tomatoes
    1 Garlic clove
    1/4 Onion
    1/2 Tbsp Tomatoe bouillon
    1/2 Tbsp Chicken bouillon
    1/4 Cup water
    Salt
    5 tbsps cooking oil
    For every cup of rice you will use 2 cups of water
    Cooking time:
    Cook rice on low heat for 8 mins or until golden
    Add tomato salsa and cook for 1 minute
    Add 3 cups of water mix and turn heat to medium heat
    Once it comes to a boil taste for salt, add more if needed then cover with lid & lower heat to the lowest setting.
    Let it cook for 10 mins or until you see the water has evaporated and turn off heat. DO NOT open the lid do not remove from burner just let it sit. After 15 mins open lid and fluff up the rice with a fork. Cover with lid again and let it sit for 10 more minutes.Finally it is ready to serve & enjoy!
    *IMPORTANT*
    The cooking timeline I provide is what works for me however this will also vary depending on the type of pan/pot you use. Some pans/pots cook it much faster or slower. Use my timeline as a guide however If all fails DON’T be afraid to try again and adjust the timeline based on your experience.
