    finally, someone shows the real way to make Mexican rice, All these other videos say to use fresh "tomatoes" NOOOO! Canned tomato sauce the proper way, Oh & some rice comes out dry on top, when you cover it, If you dont cover the rice, it has a wet tomato sauce look on top.

    My mind is blown! I’ve tried for many years making Mexican rice but it always comes out mushy! I think my issue was adding the tomato sauce after I poured the water! I can’t wait to try this out! I love your videos!!! I made your chili verde and made burritos out of it!

    Made it and loved it!! Though I only used 3 cups of water because that’s usually how much I use for 2 cups of rice and it came out just how I like it, not too wet (especially considering that it uses a can of tomato sauce too). So I’m guessing if you do the 4 cups of water it’ll definitely be on the wetter side but that’s totally up to your own preference!

    • @LaCocinaDeJannett

      Jennifer Soto I’m glad you loved it!!! Yeah elevation has a lot to do w amount of water needed too...4 cups works perfect for where I live it’s not WET at all. Rice is just fluffy and fully cooked 😉

    very easy and tasty! Thanks! if you like me somehow undercooked the rice and it was a lil crunchy, soak a paper towel in water, squeeze out like 20% of the water so the paper towel isnt dripping, and cover rice in bowl w/ paper towel and warm up for 2 mins.

    Hello! Good through video, just had a few substitution questions. Do you think we could use tomato puree or tomato paste instead of tomato sauce? & Do you think that the chicken bouillon can be substituted for a chicken Maggie cube?
    Thank you!!

    • @LaCocinaDeJannett

      Yes both of those substitutions will work just fine. You’ll need less tomato paste if you use that! Hope you love it.

    • @LaCocinaDeJannett
      @LaCocinaDeJannett  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No! You do not have to wash your rice. I don’t. If you want to remove some of the starch then you can rinse it. It’s really personal preference. This recipe does not have the rice rinsed 😉
