I love to see your videos and the JM creations video too🤣🤣🤣
Thank you, MokiTin ❤️
I'm also running into this issue, and I think I must've swapped heads while the printer was still powered on...
Was the fix just to replace the motherboard? So you didn't need to also replace the laser module?
Their support was actually quite helpful over email. Describe your problem to them. They may have you check a couple readings with your multimeter to diagnose if it is a dead laser versus motherboard. If still under warranty, they'll hook you up.
Did you use the laser head again after replacing the card?
Yes, laser head safely can be used again after the board has been swapped.
@@VestigialVoice Unfortunately, the laser head that I bought with excitement gave me a very bad experience. When I measured with a multimeter from the laser output port on the device, I measured 24 volts between vcc and pwm, and it showed 0 volts between gnd and vcc. As a printer manufacturing defect, the output ports were in the wrong order, so my device was damaged. I'm not sure if the laser head was damaged. and my printer's warranty has expired, I need to buy a new motherboard and I don't dare to use the laser head again.
Creality has really messed up on the expansion port, anything you attach to it have a high probability of kill the mobo...
It's certainly a shame because their technology is quite good otherwise. They really could dominate the budget consumer 3D printer marketplace with a couple strategic board modifications. I appreciate the thoughtful comment, farpsy.
