Great reaction! I was there, it was right before Covid hit. Was a great night. Im also a Swedish home guard soldier. This song is pretty special to many of us, especially these days.

Nice reaction, I was at this show (sitting somewhere in the middle of the platform to the left from this view of the stage)
Just before this clip started Joakim said no one carries around a lighter anymore but you all have phones right? So turn on your flashlights for this one.
Then in the beginning of this, he said totally wonderful, my friends let's now sing together en livstid i krig. They had sold out the arena that night so we were around 10 766 metalheads in the arena.
The album Carolus rex they released during that time is about a part of Swedish history referred to as the era of great power (stormaktstiden in Swedish) when Sweden was a much bigger nation with ambitions of expanding and more of a war nation than we are now.
As some of of the others have mentioned, this was just before covid really broke out and started canceling shows and events.

Döpas och dö i strid/baptized and killed in battle. Apart from the baptism by fire meaning, in the context of the 30 years war which the song is about, that pretty much meant someone could be drafted when their son was born, who'd 15 years later also be drafted, baptized and killed during the same war. Heck, even a third generation could be picked off during that time.

If you already reacted to it, ignore this comment. You kept mentioning PTSD, and Sabaton did a song about one of the survivors of PTSD is "To Hell and Back" about Audie Murphy. The official music video is great and shows some of what he went through. The lyric video gives more information during the bridge.

Thanks for your reaction! I'm glad this great song woke your emotions.
Is it my computer or all your viseos have very low sound, I hardly hear your comments. If it could improve it would be much more comfortable enjoying your reactions.

Stop. One of the best Sabaton songs, super patriotic and meaningful to Swedes. A song so moving...I learned it in Swedish just to be part of this epic sing along.
I get that you're excited and eager to learn about this great band... so I say this with love in my heart (I'm your grandma's age)... I had to bow out of your reaction bc you chattered through the song...you talked *over* this amazing performance! Pausing to react is encouraged and expected (but not every 20 seconds...how can you or any new fan hear the song?) but talking over the music isn't great for views and likes. I sincerely hope you don't feel upset by my words...I'm trying to give you constructive advice, as a YT channel mentor... slow down, hush up, and enjoy the music, whilst allowing viewers to *also* enjoy it.
I am an USMC widow and I love this band...they teach history and life lessons. I'm trying to pay it forward with some good advice to grow your channel... God bless you for caring about veterens and mental health! You're very young to be giving PTSD advice...maybe announce your passion for helping and just post the info for the Suicide Prevention Lifeline in your description.
Again, I only aim to help you...if you'd like to chat about channel strategy or reaction tips...just click my picture and email me! You have potential...you just need some polishing! ❤
