I prefer the boring stuff at the beginning. It's a natural progression of explaining the experience we as consumers will have. It also lends itself to your natural story telling. I would watch your videos if you explained farming equipment in Greek though.
Variety in reviews is great. I like seeing many many games fly by, but I also like your deep dives and narratives on your game footage. That's always been a positive differentiator. Keep it up.
Before anything else, great video as usual. But for the format, the old specs first and game later helps segment stuff. I want to know what it has, and then how it runs.
Nice review video pal! I bought beelink ser8 in the summer. Put an extra 2T ssd in it. I just love the little monster. I don't really play AAA games on it but use it for retro games. I think it's powerful enough to play around for a few years.
this format is super! i think it's great because you are not bored. if you want to see how games work on the pc you know when the section comes, same if you're interested in specifications
I like watching old tech dweeb videos and skipping to the game testing segment to get inspiration for new games I want to acquire and never play. So I like that format better.
@ Overall great video though! I got a mini PC last year.. the Beelink SER5 with 8-Core AMD Ryzen 7 5850U, 32GB DDR4, 500GB M.2 SSD. I mainly use it for media content and retro gaming in my living room but these new mini PC’s with the 780m has me wanting a new one haha
With mini PC reviews I am cuious on how it emulates. Like if you could test PS3 as a benchmark. Oh, and if you test out PS2 games, maybe try Silent Hill 3? For a PS3 game it looks great with the upscales. For this review it was a great flow. I like the roller coaster method of ups and downs on the boring and fun stuff to keep it interesting.
I think you just helped me find the mini PC I've been looking for. I don't do any real AAA gaming (more into indies myself) but it looks like it could tear through the productivity stuff I get into like editing videos/streaming/let's plays and the like. Also, I think I prefer the technical stuff up front. I think things just feel better compartmenalized.

I enjoyed the new format. Any new techdweeb videos are better than none. Oh also you need to show how the mini pcs handle milf city and let us know the grade of their exhaust fumes. 👽
Good video, good mini PC and yes Rob is good too. Thanks for sharing. I don't know how I feel about this way of dealing with the review, I can't make up my mind if I like it a lot, or not.
If I gotta turn down settings to play on 1080p with an unnecessary amount of frames, I'd personally rather play at 720p with turned up AA and fun stuff like that. I may be in the minority, but that's my preference. What's the point of 1080p if everything isn't even rendering?
Good point. Got myself an "older" TV with "HDready" 1366x768 but faster refresh rate for my emulation/consoles, but I feel like no actual difference between that and 1080p or 4k in regards to the visuals. But I'm also short sighted, so that's for that
I hadn't heard of this brand of minipc and ended up getting a Minisforum UM790 Pro. As far as I can tell from this video, it's identical. Basically the identical price, too. Even the teardown looked the same from when I installed a second SSD in mine. So, pick your poison, I guess. I run Kubuntu on mine because eff Windows. It's 100% Linux compatible. I've been thrilled with the gaming performance. I don't tend to buy games until they come down to $20 or less in a Steam sale, so I've been playing stuff like Doom 2016, Mass Effect Legenday Edition, Mortal Kombat Komplete, Grim Dawn, and Company of Heroes. I can play a lot of them in 4K and all of them run great in 2K, which, honestly, is just fine on a 27" monitor. So, yeah, these little guys are awesome. I recommend them.
Good job on directness and to the point on what yr viewers needed.to know. Bravo!Good job ! Sincerely Wade p.s. is another mini that is worthy to look ?
If you haven't already, I would check out the Minisforum EM680. I got mine for about $350 and it's amazingly compact and runs pretty much everything except Cyberpunk and Starfield smoothly. They seem to be sold out at the moment, but hopefully they'll restock. This little guy is the perfect sidekick to my gaming rig, and it's worth sharing, in my professional opinion. 👍🏻
As a viewer for your handheld coverage, I would like to see some handheld streamubg testing from these mini PCs. I always wanted to take advantage of Moonlight support on cheaper linux handheld but at the moment relies on Steamdeck to stream to handheld. I would like to know if these mini pcs are up to task for streaming and I think it nicely link this content with rest of your channel
I know a lot of people care about the specs, but my belief is that the games should speak for themselves. Specs are just numbers. They don't really mean anything if the games you're showcasing aren't performing. If you were revieiwing a console, you probably wouldn't be going over the system specs. And I am a PC gamer at heart, so again, I understand that specs are a *little* more meaningful here. But honestly, if you can run AAA games at 1080p, I just don't understand what value anyone gets by getting a listing of insignificant numbers. Just my opinion. Great video, either way.
Lets see how far we can push it. *pushes it off the table* oh my days you are prime time. I want a dweeb movie, spin off series and a plushy toy with curly hair and harry potter glasses.
