You see things wrong with panels I am sure the factory never looked for and try to correct all of them. Easy to say most auto companies didn’t do that way. You put a lot of work into everything you do great job. Thanks for all you do.
I have also experienced when using magnets that they cause the mid weld to act strange so I try not to use them anymore. I am glad that I am not the only one who noticed that happening or had that happen. I think it may affect the polarity of the weld cycle.
I have to get one of those shears. Another fantastic descriptive video. Barry you keep me motivated to stay on my 67 project. I have a long way to go still but love the journey. I am definitely going to delete my antenna hole but it will have to go on my list as it seems to get longer.
Hello, i love watching your videos and i now have a 66 mustang. I was hoping you could help me out a little i wanted to do a 5 lug upgrade (i have the inline 6) and was wondering if bigger wheels would fit and work over the tie rods? And will putting a 302 fit right in with out hitting the inline6 steering components? Thanks
Hi Barry, I'm just now doing sheet metal welding on my 72 Mach 1. Finding it really annoying that a small ball forms at the end of the wire after every weld I do. I can see in the video that the same thing happens for you. Is there an easy way to prevent this from happening? Because it affects the quality of the next weld having that excess material on the wire. Thanks.
I am too need to do this on my 67 so it is good timing for me on your part. What I doing is moving the antenna hole to the rear in the middle of the trunk between trunk and rear window using an 8 track electric antenna out of a 74 ford Marquis. I am trying to keep the theme of the Stang to all the mods that were done to them from the 70's in which I used to cruise in..... flared fenders, 69 scoop, rear duck tail etc etc. You did not say anything about the other side of the fender, did you add any more weld and grinding to finish that? I am thinking I will just for looks and strength. Also i be interested in your painting video of the fender, do you leave it in epoxy and bolt it on and finish for paint or do you put some sort of under seal on or top coat before final paint? unless you top coat both sides before final bolt on. Any way well done I love watching your unhurried easy to follow vids, I should try to e-mail you to get my Stang on your vid some how.... cheers for now.

If you convert, you need to upgrade the suspension as well.
What type of antenna are you planning to use?
Not sure. There are options available. I haven't done much research, but I've seen them.
You want to get back to good metal from the stretched edges , don’t forget the other side
Great stuff! Ordered a tee to help support you and the channel. I’ve used it as tutorials to do a lot on my project. Thanks!

Not that I know of. Some people snip the wire after each weld. I'm just used to it.
@@JoDaddysGarage ok thanks!
Nice work ! Did you do something in the under side of the fender where the antenna hole was ? Cool extras ahahah
I did not do any other work on the underside.
On my '66 Hardtop one fender came from a radio delete car (I think) because it had no antenna hole. I would like to find a good in car antenna .

I did not weld the underside. I shouldn't need to, but it's worth a look. I will have more info when I get to the primer video.
