It takes incredible training on an unbelievable level to face off against an armed adversary who has the capacity and probably the will to kill you. These situations expose very quickly the human capacity to deal with the highest level of fear, controlling that fear, being effective. Being successful in achieving the objective takes years of training. So the US either has to face off against their fascination with guns and phase the whole industry out, or, have very rapid reaction squads to deliver a successful result, neutralising the adversary/gunman. I'm British, we have problems with gun violence in the UK, but the US is off the scale. I have a small son and love him dearly, I simply cannot imagine what these parents and children are going through. It's heartbreaking.

It takes incredible training on an unbelievable level to face off against an armed adversary who has the capacity and probably the will to kill you. These situations expose very quickly the human capacity to deal with the highest level of fear, controlling that fear, being effective. So the US either has to face off against their fascination with guns and phase the whole industry out, or, have very rapid reaction squads to deliver a successful result, neutralising the adversary/gunman. I don't have kids myself, but putting myself in the shoes of those parents, knowing that there were shots heard inside the school and my kid could be one of the victims, is a horrible, horrible feeling. One thing is to hear it in the news, another thing is to actually be there with those parents, even if you don't have kids in that school.
Looks like the officers, WITH GUNS, spent more time tackling and stopping parents from trying to save their children, than actually saving the children 😢
The sad reality of it all is that the gun man probably spent less time purchasing his two rifles than it did for law enforcement to actually eliminate him.
Hay de que servía ya tanto policía si cuando deberían de ver estado ahí cuidando no estuvieron 🥺😭😭.
America- the greatest nation in the world
This is the police protecting the gunman while he is killing inside. Me as a parent they would’ve had to riddle me with bullets crossing the line to stop the gunman. These cops aren’t protesters. Cops nowadays go after non threatening people rather than the threat. All they are doing is just earning a paycheck just like you and I.
They stayed outside where it was safe and prevented parents from trying to help their children. Sad day I. The USA. Police better be held responsible for their part in this massacre.
Why aren't you blaming the school for leaving a door unlocked which gave the shooter access. If they had to door locked it would've taking more time for the shooter to get in. With more time the police could have confronted him when he was outside.
The gunman was in a room he already killed the children he barricade himself he couldn’t kill more kids the cops were waiting outside the classroom
This is frightening imagine seeing the kid running with a rifle through the hallways
My condolences to everyone involved…..
what’s up with the police in this situation? Promising to protect the public isnt what they look like to be doing here. They’re literally watching parents breaking down because their child is inside that building. Those officers could have went in, some kids could have been saved. It breaks my heart to see this, this is terribly tragic.
The cops are cowards! Rip to the family and victims
If he broke into a police station they would of charged in immediately
This is heartbreaking 💔 😢💔I feel these mothers pain
