Your family is so wonderful. My favorite part is when dad feeds his big, grown son. Beautiful. And your reactions to his obviously marvellous food are so sweet and loving. You are so lucky to have a wonderful family like that. Thank you for this.
Not only do I love seeing the recipes, I also love seeing the family time at the end. You see how grandpa loves his grandson, making sure the baby is right next to him, not the baby’s parents. That’s the OG Asian love. My dad passed away 10 years ago. Watching this reminds me of how he was with my kids. Love love love
Made With Lau and Pasta Grammar are the best two cooking channels on TH-cam. Simple, authentic recipes with critical steps and information, presented by people that KNOW the cuisine and how the food should be prepared.
Honestly, I would absolutely buy a cookbook that is only photocopies of your parents' recipes! The handwritten, hand-me-down family recipes are always the best!

I just have to add that I love the parts when the family sits and eats together and also when Randy takes the taste test, you can clearly see the love the family have for each other. It is so touching. That's as good as watching Daddy Lau do what he does best!
This is amazing and I doubt any restaurant would do it any better. What I love about Father Lau is he does not overfat things and that is very much appreciated. Would love to sit at your table. Best of everything!
You are so lucky to have your dad and mom.... People remember family through the food you've shared and you've memorilized you dad and mom through this channel.
BRO!!! I just made your dad's recipe. And it taste exact to the restaurants that we all grown to love!!! Tell your dad thanks for sharing these restaurant style dishes we all been searching for!!!
I just discovered your channel a few days ago and have made this and the chicken jook. That’s 2 for 2 winning recipes! I’m Chinese and can vouch these are legit recipes. I feel like I cracked the code on my fav restaurant dishes! I also like that your dad speaks Cantonese in the videos, because it helps my language skills, too, to listen to him. Keep making these videos, and I’ll keep cooking along with Baba Lau! 👨🍳
I ran out of oyster sauce so I used Fish sauce instead. Also, I ran out of corn starch after making the marinade so I coated the pork chops with flour. It turned out amazing. My mom was surprised how tender it was and my brother who is a very picky eater said he didn't know that pork chops could taste so good. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I love your great family. Your dad is informative and fun to watch in the kitchen, and it's also great to see you all at the table enjoying the delicious food together!
Your videos warm my heart. I am a Cantonese speaking jook-sing from a Toisanese family. I understand everything your mom and dad say and can totally relate. Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much for doing this cooking channel. I love that there is an English introduction, and that dad is speaking in Cantonese with English subtitles.Listening to him reminds me of listening to relatives when I was young I love that the family gives their input also on recipes, dishes. The combination of English and Cantonese keeps it interesting. I can't believe dad cooked at the restaurant a gazillion hours, then came home and cooked too. Thanks to you and your family for sharing these recipes!
What pleasant videography, commentary, and personalities. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos Uncle Lau. It is so refreshing to see your style of presentation in contrast to many bombastic, loud styles of TH-cam nowadays. I hope to see Made with Lau continue to flourish and bless us with your amazing recipes!
I love Cantonese dishes. I m so glad to find your content that I can learn exactly how to cook nicely and deliciously from your dad! Your dad teach me exactly how to cook the most famous Cantonese dishes. So good to learn it. Thank you from S. Korea ! 😊
This recipe is soooooo good!!! I've made it 3x now and it's better every time. Even better than in some restaurants I've had it 😋 thanks for sharing the recipe and keep them coming! Love your channel.
I love watching your family. You really love each other. I use your recipes and they’re always a success because you’re an excellent teacher. This is where I learn how to make authentic Chinese dishes. Thank you!!!!!
I made this for my husband's birthday dinner, since salt and pepper pork is one of his favorite dishes, and he absolutely adored it!! Thank you so much for sharing this, will definitely be making this again!
Cantonese food is one of my favourites.Thank you for sharing your cooking lessons from your dad with us.Learning much n still much to learn. It's extra special for me cos I speak n understand Cantonese n I had never known my own father.Appreciate the similar family atmosphere❤️
I've seen thumbnails of Dad Lau on my feed and this video was my first that I watched. I had to subscribe, and looks like I'm binge watching some videos tonight!! Love everyone at the table, and Mom is just ♥her voice is so calm and wonderful!
I’m Puerto Rican and I swear the only other type of pork chop seasoned or style I would eat is this. We are kings of pork but this just gave me a hell of an idea. Love the family atmosphere and culture sharing you guys provided. This was awesome. Your dad reminded me of my late Grandpop.
Awesome video. I love your parents, and the whole family thing going on. That said, I'm also impressed by the design choices you've made for the video transitions and graphics, thumbnails, and general art direction. The recipes are the most important thing, but it's clear you've put effort into *all* of it, so kudos mate. I hope you have a good 2022 :)
Delicious! I made it today it taste just like restaurants even better. Yes taking the bones out and splitting the chops in half and tenderizing it with edge of knife gives it a tender texture. Double frying gives it a perfect crunch. My husband could never stop saying it is very good! As a side, I served with your spicy garlic eggplant from our vegetable garden. I paired it with Sauvignon Blanc. Thank u for sharing.
I love to watch Daddy Lau cooking video. I like to follow all his recipe to cook. All the food that he cooking is our family favorite foods. Thank you for sharing the recipe. May your family Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year and Beyond!
THANK YOU!!! Salt and Pepper Pork Chops are my favorite dish as well and it is is extremely difficult to find restaurants that have it. I always wanted to try my hand in making this myself... and now I will because of this detailed walkthru!!!!
This recipe was so helpful! I adjusted the vegetables & spices to what I have, and I’m not regretting a thing! I used cabbage & red onion, and then I replaced the garlic salt with 5 spice + onion powder, plain salt… and slipped 2 extra cloves of garlic in with the veggies. I used a mix of white and black pepper… tons and tons of it. Drizzled some Lao Gan Ma over the rice, and mmmmm…. life is so good right now!
I absolute love your channel. Thanks to the Lau family to help out north american second generation to keep up the cooking! Quick question, can we air fry the pork sirloin?
I've made so many of your Dad's recipes. They have all been staples in my house. This is the next recipe on my list to make and as always I have high hopes. Thank you so much for all the amazing videos.

My favourite part when your father announces the dish loudly. 😁
Grandpa Lau proudly announces classic Cantonese dishes and cheers his grandson with great gusto and in melodious bravura style!
I prefer when he call his grandson, Hong Doy to eat. Lol
@@vernshang1 sugar boy (because he's sweet)
When he announces, you know it's time for dinner! 😋
