I've been waiting for you to do a comparison on these two... I really don't care for dewalt I have dewalt tools but nothing really special about them dewalt has never really impressed me. They never really break the mold they copy paste other tools. Oh you have this ok were gonna make it too. Dewalt in the last year has came out with alot of tools but like I said nothing original. And ive seen collet problems with others but to be honest ive never had a problem with my gen3. What im worried about is that flat face on the gen4 will it hinder driving in tight places? How is the collet? And lights on a drill or impact I always have work lights btw that flex 24v light and tools are amazingly brilliant 👏 👌 but thank you again I really don't trust opinions of people who get tools sent by manufacturers. If you know what I mean. I have every platform I spent 50k last year and 20k this year so far lmao 🤣 ill probably get all the new tools during holiday sales 😅
Yea I mean as far as actually using the gen 3 in real situations I've never had a problem with it so the collet issue really isn't a big deal honestly it just bugs me that I know in certain circumstances it could lose retention but this new gen I feel confident all around with it so far time will tell though, the collet seems good on the gen 4 I don't think there will be any problems there, but yea the whole having products sent from the manufacturer to reviewers I understand that it really depends on the person. There is some that let that effect their true thoughts on whatever they are reviewing me personally everything I review comes out of my own pocket so I'm going to give everyone my honest opinions on these tools. I have been using DEWALT for a while and just purchased the m18 gen 4 and I can tell a major difference in power I am impressed with Milwaukee myself.

Used my gen 3.5 to repair a car during the night and i could see my work area very well . But i do like the tri-light upgrade.
